Great review! The steering wheel cover is an excellent addition. I've been using a turbo for several years. (van dweller) If you have knee problems like most of us "more experienced" people. :) I'd suggest using it near a tree so give you a "primitive handicapped bar" to help lift yourself up.

I am still at it. I have fallen passionately in love with camping with a hammock and a tarp. Even if it storms you are snug AND off of the ground. I wish I had more time to make videos. I plan to retire next year and then you just look out.

I just purchased one but I have not tried it yet. The first thing I did was put a few Kitchen Trash Compactor bags in with the thin bags. The plastic Trash Compactor bags I get from Walmart are much heavier duty then ordinary trash bags. I'm certain I want the waste securely double bagged as it makes its way from my campsite to the nearest dumpster. I have a few questions: 1. Would you say that each bag was for a single use or is it something you might use for a day or two between bag changes or perhaps somewhere in-between like for morning Constitutionals for a couple of people and then change the bag? 2. If it is something you are going to use more than once between bag changes, have you figured out any sort of lid to control odor and flies? 3. How much cat litter per bag? One or two cups? More?

I am starting to collect ideas and this would top my list if it was higher as I am a senior with bad knees and getting down and up is difficult. Have you an idea you can post to put this on a stand or platform? You mention you made a collapsible or foldable stand from corrugated plastic but I don’t see how that would hold up under weight. Great idea with the steering wheel cover! I've heard this product is great for potty-training, but looking at its height, and the size of the hole, I'd like to see how well a toddler could use it without falling in butt-first. This actually happened to me when I was 2 on a regular toilet :)

Thank you. Christmas Eve night many years ago I witness them take out of a burnt house, under white sheets, a 2 year old granddaughter, mother, and grandmother. Something I will never forget, so I can't help myself from mentioning it. If they would have just HAD a working smoke alarm.

Thx for the great review! I have a SERIOUS question too. I see the plastic liner bag kind of bunches up all around inside the Turbo. My question is if someone had a bad "explosive" case of the runs, etc., and used this product is there a very good likelihood of getting splashed? I think it would've been a lot better had the manufacturer made this with a removable seat. Then you could attach the plastic bag closer to the interior "wall" of the Turbo's frame. Less bunching up and much more open space.
+Bohnzeppelin To tell you the truth, I like to use some clumping kitty litter in mine instead of the scant tablespoonful of the gel. It holds the bag down nicely. I really like that I can put the soft steering wheel cover on it to hold everything in place. I just don't know. I really think if you had explosive runs you would want the clumping litter in the bottom to hold everything in place.

It is just a fabric steering wheel cover with elastic. There really isn't any padding in it at all. I will try to get a stock number or something for you. Sick in bed with a cold at the moment. LOL! I will let you know.
When you find steering wheel covers at WalMart they are usually already shaped like a steering wheel. This cover isn't. It is just stretched on a thin round cardboard circle. Just to show what it is. They are thin. I see some on amazon that are fleecy and also soft and stretchy but the regular thin one is what I like. I have seen some like it at the dollar tree but they are really too narrow and cheap.
A cold anytime is bad anytime but during the summer sounds awful! I've searched the whole dang web of your exact one and at and online Walmart/Amazon etc.to no avail. A stock number would be great if you find it! You really need to become an affiliate for Turbo AND the steering wheel cover if you find it. Get well soon and ty!!

I emailed the company and they said they expect to get them back in stock by early Summer. I am thinking.. I am pretty handy with a saw and screw driver.. perhaps I could make my own. I just need to know what kind of hinges are on the inside. If I sent you my email address could you take a photo of the hinges and send it to me. I have my turbo toilet. Works fine, but is not turbo. I can't open it so easily. I have to manually stretch the hinges. After that it works as advertised. I love it.

Are the bags strong enough not to rip easy? I will be taking it off road in the back off the truck, don’t want the bag to rip.
