This is a nice place,- reflective dampening and individual drum type set ups as well as a control station,- all looking neat and sorted with a workplace like vibe,- looks to be a together guy.
One thing I´ve been wondering about,- just about all of the drummer home studios you´ve portrayed have very little in the way of dampenig screen on the floors.
Isn´t it counterproductive to have that open of a drum setup and so much live room reflection from the walls and ceiling when recording drum tracks,- especially if you´re going for the tight dead
70s sound that seems to be in fashion with a lot of the modern day production?
Coming from the world of metal and being a child of the huge and deep full toned sound of the 80s and 90s drum sounds myself I´ve just been wondering why so few people seem to have these floor mounted screens on wheels so you could dampen the reflections coming back to the close mics.
Never seem to see them anywhere - and I´d think af them as necessities.
That’s true, I call them baffles. I don’t see a ton of them in home setups probably due to space limitations. They are certainly fun to mess around with the space though!

This series is great, but could we please get better representation on here? I know it's primarily about the gear, but the different perspectives of each engineer are why I watch.

I think you have gone beyond the point of the " home studio" many of these are just commercial studios located in a home. It would be great to see some actual home Studios where songwriters and producers are doing the best they can to work with common hardware and software as opposed to just these world-class studios in a home setting. I would also like to see more than just the gear but maybe also hear some samples of their work in each Studio where they are willing to provide it. Just my .02
