Amazing studio setup! What's your favorite part of this setup? Walk through starts at 5:37
Man, i love this so much! a lot of expensive gear as well! Everywhere i look i see the Apollo stuff! Which made me think that i made some good decisions going forward with the Apollo gear! I was thinking about Apogee which has some great stuff as well. I'm always torn between choosing between those two! I loved the the older Apogee design better though. Sound has always been great. Apollo is looking to be on a completely different level though (in some cases.) Anyway, great video, as always! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄 🎅🏼 🎆
I love studios like these. It isn't just one guy and a mixing desk.
It's a place where people work together to make music, really inspiring to see!
100%
This place is awesome but what's even better is that's its a legit team effort
Andrew! Thanks for making these as every week series. Every Monday I can't wait to get home from work to watch these, it's always something new. I learned a lot just from watching your videos, also got a lot of ideas for my humble home studio. Very inspirational and educational, keep em coming! You're a legend! Thank you so much! Greetings from Slovenia :)
Glad you enjoy it!
The Best Mixing Engineer in the business. Solid space Brandon 🙏🏾
I don't know why i always watch a couple of minutes before liking these videos
Like, who am i kiding?
They're always great
Best studio by far, in my opinion! The vibe here is different!
My absolute favorite channel on UA-cam rn🙌🙌
my heart is exploding
This is my dream. Neotek!!!! As I’m also a Electrical Audio fanatic. Just the entire signal chain is amazing.
Ooh my god..... dream.....what a setup...and think
Nice to hear Arun’s name mentioned.
Awesome, beautiful studio! Enjoyed the tour. Thank you.
Thanks Laney!
I used to have the same model Neotek. Brilliant!
newest copy of tape op on the table, very crucial
Great space Brandon! Good luck with the relaunch!
Dudes got killer gear for days! Super jelly! Great vid man!
Andy,your channel is a must!!
one of the coolest vibe iest dream studios you've done.
Awesome studio
Love that editor kiekeboo thingy.
Ayy this is the ideal studio! I wish I could write some songs ( I have written) , go to Nashville , record an album and just get my music out there
Right?! As a diehard electrical audio nut I now have another studio to do artist searches from! But just this smallish space can do anything. Anything!!
This is my favorite studio so far on ur channel. Love everything about it!
No words!
This place is great😎
LOVE THIS
That's a really dope, vibey studio... interesting that there's a piece of gear for just about every input.
Love the way you divided the rooms! What a great idea! Very nice my friend!
I would need a roadmap to get around that studio routing.
That blue cup needs its own Instagram page
Felt more like a resort than a studio 😂 Superb setup!

Holy vibey! Watching this I'm hearing QOTSA 💀💀💀
Haha! That was the name of my studio in Michigan 20 years ago.
Yikes the guy mentioned my favourite album stereolab dots and loops
@9:23 in the black room : always keep a minilogue by your side
AWESOME !!!!!
AMAZING!!
Oh shit Singer of Mae and guitarist from Saves the Day, that's awesome!. Also loving all that outboard gear
I wish we had some legit studios down here in south ms. I’m from just south of Memphis and my grandad had a demo studio plus we had all the studios In Memphis. But now I’ve had to build my own to have a way to do demos
Malaco Studios in Jackson
Some people have tons of outboard for the stunt gear factor. Not here. There is not an ounce of fat in those racks. (And defiitely big +1 for the AS D-Comp. Absolute BRUISER on drums)
Tell us more about that Mojave MA-300! (I have one on my SW wish list)
UA-cam's Audio normalization IS SO AMAZING and polished and well working that in the beginning of this video i mainly full blasted my audition to death. The last ten videos: normal volume, this video: volume that blasted the hell out of my ears. Thanks fucking youtube, your normalization is very smart.
Welcome to jungle..lost in studio..🍺
Cheers
Cheers!
👏🏽
Totally brilliant studio, not sure about the Christmas decorations however
What brand of coffee is he on??? LOL. I need a pot of that!!!
I think it was Elegy coffee, I was indeed over-caffeinated and plus the editing cuts make it seem more non-stop and frantic. Lots of gear to cover in 30 minutes! Haha cheers!
really inspiring channel
thanks!
I'm wondering, with all these large studios with massive amounts of gear, how much they pay for insurance.
I know for my gear that I have at my home studio it costs a pretty penny to insure even limited amounts of gear.
Nice place to hang and record. Wow.
When I view studios such as this one, it strikes me that it would be easier to become a brain surgeon or rocket scientist than a studio engineer. Am I right?
Is all that Equipment really necessary? I've heard albums recorded with almost no hardware, software only and it sounded like an award winning recording.
It’s definitely over the top with compressors. That seems to be the trend these days. Back in the 80’s you had the large consoles and we’d supplement a little with one or two ii76’s a couple la2a’s and high end reverbs delays. I still have my 480l’s Ams RX 16 DX15 and Quantecs. The console was the sound. Now like this guy he he’s trying to make up for his low end console. Should have bought a real console. He’s in the right area where there plenty of techs to keep them running. It just looks silly.
I spy some chasebliss pedals
Hey brother big fan of your channel. Great work. If your ever in Toronto Canada would love to come by SG Ink Studios. Just some feedback, I instantly noticed a difference in your vocals before I noticed the mic. To my ears there is an annoying frequency in The mid highs that I didn’t hear before in your previous videos. 6-8k I would presume. Anyhow keep up the great work bro!!🙏🏾
Interesting, so is saying he felt the analog hardware was of more use on the way in vs. during mix as plugins have gotten that good? Goes back to good mics, mic pre, and compressors/eq on the way in where you need them and the rest can work ITB.
When u r in a 3rdworld country..this looks impossible.but v never stopped dreaming..one day..I’ll buy alllll this stuff n put it in my studio.love from malaysia 🇲🇾.
To me, your recording studio should look like yours. These days, guys only buy a desk, one computer, and one pair monitors and they think they do have a "nice recording studio." Lol.
Andrew, this is Epic it's like a dream, but in real life wow! I would never sleep in a place like this. Great studio and content as always Stay Safe!!!
Hi, what is the bass behind you ?
Thx again for another great tour!
Pls do rustbelt studios
Hello, may I ask what song begins with the opening credits?
How can you use plastic cups? I there any reason behind it? Just so wasteful
Now we need a review of Michael Jacksons Neve 8108 (?), PLZ ...
I’ll try to make that happen!
@@brandonhighfill9163 I would be back for that, for sure
No Andrew, my town is not like yours 🤣🤣😫
How the jumping feck does all this stuff get connected?
Lots and lots of strategy, cabling, and patchbays
What Console Desk mixing its is ?
Neotek Elan!
3:45am and I'm watching this epic audio engineering p0rn video. I have 0 regerts and 0 rugrats.
is anyone noticing a stutter in the video? is this cause it's recorded at 60fps but played back
Everything is recorded at 23.97fps. I probably just screwed something up at some point. This is an older vid.
Hello Andrew. Have you heard that Chuck sold Sweetwater to a capital finance company?
i have all that in my computer , you dont need all that kit
Fantastic studio! .....and then it just gets ruined when it gets digital. Sad.😭😭😭😭😠😠😎
Really enjoying what you're doing Andrew and been working my way through all the videos for a while. Seeing creative spaces, approaches and gear collections is always fascinating.
Keep at it and thanks for doing what you do.
Amazing place! Total gear porn😀
I don't understand why so much equipment is needed to record. How about this, don't record anything you can't produce live. How many of us have gone to concerts and have been dissapointed that it doesn't sound like the record? Acts make money live now, so don't record anything you can't reproduce live.
But not all music is meant to be played live.
Ever had any females in your vids?
Possibly his private vids ;)
its an awesome studio, but i wouldnt call it a home recording studio lmao!
PLEASE KEEP THE CAMERA STILL AND STOP TRYING TO BE MTV CRIBS. THANK U.
Watch a different channel.
@@AndrewMasters I cant, gear is too addicting and im too old to keep hitting rewind to see this stuff. just a suggestion ;)
"Home" recording studio. Really?
Backyard?
Hey Andrew, what’s that panel on the wall for the guitar pedals? Do you have a link for it? Thanks!!!!
I can't believe how many people can afford to buy this amount of recording equipment. I have Logic Pro, an Apogee Duet, and a Mac Mini and I can't really afford much else. Most people on this channel don't appear to be super rich so I'm just wondering how they manage to buy all this stuff. I'm sure it takes years, decades...but still. Maybe I'm just poor. Anyways, I enjoy watching these and then looking up the equipment that I can't afford to buy.
It’s almost always the career of the guest. Meaning you have to invest in your business in order to meet the needs of the clients. No one in any of these videos just bought everything. It was a long 10+ year process of buying one new thing, growing clients and reinvesting back into the business.
@@AndrewMasters Yeah, that makes sense! Also, the concentration of recording studios in and around Nashville is nuts! I guess there is never a shortage of people wanting to record their music. Thanks for the reply.
@@AndrewMasters spot on
I need that neon crucifix..
I wants that Greg Norman passive DI box!!!!! Shout out Electrical Audio!!
Today is my birthday!! What’s the first thing I did? Watched one of you epic studio tours. Thanks for what you do!!
Loving that Musicvox Space Cadet bass over your right shoulder!
First again!
Turning into a habit. :)
Yes you are!
I want to see a diagram of how that is all wired.
Vocalists prefer the 7k dollar mic? no way??? lol
Wa67 is what he’s referring to. Which is $899.
@@AndrewMasters oh gotcha lol, thought it was a Neumann.
thanks I hate it. looks like it smells like damp cigarettes.
