So gpu plotting is a reality ! Same thing happen to burst back in the day. Someone made TURBOplotter that was using the gpu and ssd insted of cpu but the burst plots were somewhat at the speeds that a normal plotting on cpu will do on chia ...so burst plots were slower. In any case based on that experience (2018) FOR SURE a gpu plotter will be a reality. Now I really like this mad max plotter and I think this is just the begining. If I were in chia management I would hire this guy or at least give him an offer to work with the team.
Ye big thanks to Max. My 5900x was doing a respectable 36 plots a day before using Swar/Default Plotter. I'm now doing 55+ after pushing the overclock as far as I can. Absolutely insane uplift!
@@TheSKeFi my absolute fastest plot so far is 1486.18s (24.8mins). I've dialled in my overclock to where im thermally limited at this point, even with a 360mm rad, given summer has finally decided to show up here in the UK. I have my 5900x at 4700mhz effective all core 1312mV, using CTR 2.1 to tune it. RAM is at 4066mhz 16 20 20 38 1450mV. CPU usually sits 83-85C in phase 1, small peak to 87C. Furthest I could push it and what i got my best time with was 4715mhz 1312mV, but at peak it goes to 89C. At 90C I'd hit thermal limit and clocks would pull back significantly. EDIT: Spelling
Guys, support max sending him coins, there are few wallet addresses which you can use to do it on madmax plotter on github. As mentioned at the end, I have no doubt he could have made lots of money by selling the solution for big players which would make it even harder for regular ones. So, support hi.!

Madmax is definitely a bad ass! I was wondering if i were competing against him to release a GPU miner back in 2014.. i've forgot which coin i was working on, i just remember someone beats me to it then i just gave up working on the GPU miner and uses the one that got released first.
Did Max publish his public chia wallet address somewhere? It would be a grateful act for us to donate. This will also entice him to improve on it and hopefully make it byte for byte or even faster.
Amazing that Max wrote a 6~10X faster plotter than Chia in about 1~2 weeks of his spare time, and he didn't need to receive $60M in VC funding or need to do a 98% premine. It really puts things in perspective. Yes, he's extremely talented and skilled. But the tokenomics are non-existent.

hello any body had a problem with mad max?? for me when it finish a plot it creat a plot in this format (...........plot.temp) when i delete the temp word it get fixd but the hpool gui find it as a invalid plot can any body help ??
Sorry, don't know how else to get ahold of you. You always hyped up PNY Quadro P2000 for 25+ transcoding and such. Mines been great for like 4 years but now having issues. Hard to find an actual new one these days. What would be another good card with similar abilities?? TIA!
Good interview. I kind reminder that interview is the opportunity to hear the other person, if you could reduce the “I can relate” stories and maybe keep them for separate solo videos - it would maximize the time we could hear Max.
And then everyone realised it was not actually a very good idea to start with...common guys there are way better blockchains out there that are actually green.
Your wasting your time and your money on hard drives. Your better off building a couple of cheap gaming computers and mining crypto on nice hash or something because it will pay off fast.
