  • How to make beer at home from beer extract!
Make beer at home, easy and cheap. These beer kits makes easy and tasteful beer!
I usually ferment the beer for about 10-15 days, and transfer the beer to another sanitized fermenter with a siphon and add gelatin dissolved in hot water. Let the beer clear for about 5-7 days. This makes the beer super clear! And then transfer the beer into a Cornelius keg (19 liter) and carbonize the beer with CO2. You can also use bottles, but kegging makes it so much faster and easier, and you get perfect carbonation every time!
You can drink the beer right away, but it gets better and more tasteful if you store it in the keg for about 1-6 months, depending on the beer style. I usually makes 4 batches side by side, it takes about one hour to get them ready for fermentation, and one hour with clearing and transferring to kegs (two-three hours of total work to get 4x19 liter finished beer in 4 kegs)

Love seeing homebrewers show the simplest way to brew beer. Also, I think it’s awesome that you didn’t show bottling beer and instead showed kegging. Kegging is so much simpler and effective in carbonating beer rather than bottling.

Have you considered cold crashing your fermenter in a fridge, once the beers final gravity is stable for 2 days you can put the whole thing in a cold fridge for 5 days. Then without moving the fermenter open and siphon off the top. No need for gelatin, also you can add the hops to a sterilised muslin cloth bag.. helps with sediment. Great job, it's nice to see other kits being used. In Australia we mostly see Cooper's, Morgan's or or Black Rock tins. Some of these brands have online stores that might be useful to those watching this that can't find these products locally.

Best way to keep the beer easy to clarify is to use the right yest with right amount of yeast for the batch size. And when leaving the batch to clear, the time is essential. Longer time (in fridge) keeped, clearer the result when bottleing/kegging. And easiest then is "force carbonation" to keep the juice flat until get it to be served.
