Hi Pattu, your comment about this Star Rating by Value Research was a Revelation. How foolish I too was when I used star rating to recommend a fund for my client, though I did go through the kind of returns a particular fund provided. However, over a period of say a year or so, my insight into this MF industry (as both a investor and advisor) was a game changer. God bless you.

There are so many debt funds that it gets so confusing. Is there a video on which type of debt funds to be selected for time frame between few months to maximum 3 years.

Sir, wouldn't Savings Bank linked FDs (like Mod account in SBI and Money Multiplier account in ICICI) which automatically adds money to Savings Bank account in small amounts from FD if you withdraw money in time of need make more sense in terms of security if you need to park your money? I am not quite convinced about debt funds as an investment option unless you are in 30% tax slab though I very much believe in the debt portion of hybrid funds. Maybe to keep the part of salary that you plan to spend through the month for monthly expenses.

Pattu Sir, I have a question. To which category of funds should I park my monthly savings? This is apart my investments(multicap, nifty 50, small cap, midcap) and reserve fund. This savings can be held in a fund for atleast 8 yrs without touching. Should it be pure debt like liquid/arbitrage OR debt+equity like agressive hybrid or balanced? advantage?
