2024 Chevy Silverado 2500/3500HD LT vs LTZ | Differences Explained!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 сер 2024
- In this video we compare the 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500/3500HD LT and LTZ. These two trucks share many similarities but do have several differences as well. You can equip and LT with the majority of the same options as an LTZ but when you do so, the pricing becomes so similar it may not be worthwhile unless you want the cloth interior. The Silverado HD lineup differs from the Sierra a fair amount as the LTZ is the rough equivalent of the SLT trim. The Denali is the equivalent of the High Country and the Denali Ultimate doesn't have an equal trim in the Silverado HD lineup. Both trucks can be had with either engine option which is nice if you do not need the Duramax. Let me know your thoughts down below!

I like your review! Lots of details! Two things Chevrolet needs to add. 1.) Front massaging seats. Older F150's have them. 2.) Rear seat USB outlets in the arm rest. Worth mentioning is that the 3500 gets an electric steering rack. This makes the truck drive and turn like a sedan. 4G is the standard Wi-Fi speed. If you want 5G then you need to order Super Cruise in the High Country.
Thanks for the info!
The LTZ wins me over with its features I’d rather have the LT because of the front end.. but if I can get the LTZ with the LT front end, that’ll be just the grandest thing ever🔥💯👀
Totally agree with you on that. Love the LT grill much more than LTZ, but can’t get power passenger seat on LT so wife says no LT…😢
Great job breaking down pricing and comparing two with similar options
Thank you!
Very informative video.
You had mentioned that you can't get front & rear park assist on the LT. That is partially correct, you can get rear park assist on the LT as part of the safety or all star packages.
At least that is what I have found out when specing out our next 3500 srw.
Thank you! That is correct. You can get front/rear on a W/T only rear on LT as you mentioned.
Rear seat storage is available in cloth seating with the right option choices. It’s not limited to leather as stated in the video.
I love the looks of the LT more than the high country
Great comparison of the two trim levels, appreciate the info.
Glad it was helpful!
Glad I bought a 2023 3500HD LT. I like my dash layout better, Plus, I hate leather seats. I do have Convenience 1 and 2 packages.
Chevy seats are garbage either way
LT front looks more aggressive. The LTZ looks more city.
ya know for 80K + I want a lifetime warranty on the frame from rusting out. I dont drive much so my 2003 silverado only has 74k miles BUT the bottom is rusted to hell.
Where do you live?

I wish the custom would have the new headlights and infotainment system
Excellent video, thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
In the year 2024 all trucks should come with LED headlights. This is for safety in the early morning or late night tow.
I agree
Surprised to see the super rare long bed in stock. Thanks.
There was more than one!
I'm stuck. Not sure if I should option up an LT or just get the LTZ. You can get leather bucket seats on the LT trim with the leather package for $985 and the buckets for $620.
I think it depends if there is anything you really want that is only available on the LTZ. If not, it could be better to get a well equipped LT but sometime it is better to get a lesser LTZ.
I am happy with my 3500 work truck, gas for $54k out to door. Has everything it needs to get me anywhere I want.😊
Excellent comparison between the two trucks. If I was purchasing one, it would be the 2500HD LTZ. Wish the wood type door panels in the 3500HD were on the 2500HD instead of that strange looking trim piece. I also like leather seats.
It's a great choice! Thanks for watching!
@@CarsMadeSimple You are welcome. Enjoyed!
@@CarsMadeSimple My pleasure!
Why would you rather get the 2500 instead of the 3500? It's only a thousand dollar difference
@@matjusz8985 Yes.
Do these trims come with body color bumpers at all?
I did figure out that you can buy the new headlights in front end in the LT version but it’ll have to be the Z 71 sport package, or the midnight edition
Correct!
Great comparison! I wish the ltz would not come standard with auto dimming headlights and rain sensing wipers. I'd rather operate them myself.
Thank you! Some of these features can be disabled in the menu's for manual operation.
Can heads up display be disabled? I don’t like it.
Thanks answered a lot of questions
Glad it helped!
Can't believe the GMC WT trucks don't come with the new screen
It is a bummer but it makes sense that the base models keep a more simplistic interior for cost and usability. I could see that changing in a few years as the next generation comes around.
The lt does
Thank you, very helpful
You're welcome!
It would be nice if GM offered the option of not having that centre console. This way you could sit three in the front and three in the back on the LTZI don’t understand why they do this. It is a dumb feature paying more for less room
They do offer a bench seat on the front in both trims, leather or cloth
Get the midnight edition package for 2 Grand. Strange that you can't get midnight package for the LTZ?
You can. Im looking at it on the LTZ configuration website now. It’s $2375.
Great detailed comparison!
I have a question:
How come the LTZ doesn't have the upfitter switches but the LT does? Is it an option?
I try to get an LT, but I don't see the upfitter switches on Chevy's build your own interior images or as options...
Yes, up fitter switches are typically an option separate from the packages.
Upfitter switches are a $150.00 option on the LTZ.
Very well explained.
Thank you!
I want to start out with saying thank you for your video it was a great comparison but at minute 1303 you said the back seat storage does not come with cloth seats but it does. I've watched plenty of videos of these trucks and it shows cloth seating with it.
Yes, you are correct. I likely mean't to say the leather automatically gets you the storage and the cloth is optional with other packages. For the LT, Convenience Package II will get you the cloth with storage.
Good, detailed walk through on these trims. Exactly what I was looking for.
For $80k, I want a lifetime warranty on the engine and transmission. I have to replace a 2012 with a broken crank…….
Look at the GMC. You may be able to get the options you want without having to go to a higher trim level and higher cost.
GMC's are typically more expensive than Chevy so it may be a very minor cost difference.
When I was ordering my 24 I optioned both and the gmc actually had less options when comparing the lt to the sle. Example I can’t get leather or bucket seats in the gmc, but you can with Chevy and leather bucket seat fully loaded lt is still cheaper then the gmc
Is it possible to replace the LT standard light to the new LTZ ones?
I would recommend getting them from the factory. You can do so on the LT as long as it's one of the appearance packages.
Does the sunroof slide open?
Yes
Compare the Colorado and Canyon!
I haven't seen the new Canyon in person yet. If the opportunity arises, I will!
As long as everyone understands that it really isn’t an Allison transmission….that’s the disappointing part.
My ltz doesn’t have a power tailgate and it’s a 2024
It's part of the LTZ Premium Package on the truck seen. It is also available as part of the LTZ Convenience Package also.
@@CarsMadeSimple I got the ltz convenience package II
@@CarsMadeSimple It’s a multi phase tailgate though maybe that’s why
It should have it then unless otherwise noted as a credit on the window sticker.
@@iwanaGoFast2010 Yes, you cannot have both. The Multi-Flex trumps the Power Up/Down if that option is added.
Lost me at Duramax. I so loath the EPA!!
Ltz has better looking head lights.
The lt hasugly head lights.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Many think the LT has a more aggressive and desirable grill and headlight than the LTZ.
You need to do a little more research, the "Functional hood scoops" are plumbed to the engine air filter box. Part of the intake air still comes from the fender area. The grill inlet and radiator is for engine cooling.
So a hood scoop that passes air into the cooling system instead of the intake isn't functional?
Scoops are functional on the diesel, but not the gas version. Purely aesthetic on that one.
Well i thought that LT was ugly until i saw the LTZ what a styling fail, Mary Barra and the entire design dept.needs to quit
It’s funny you have the same hair as I do. I don’t know about you but I hate it. I can’t style it at all.
Imagine still offering HALOGEN headlights in 2024. What a joke. Also still offering the old GRILL look on the lesser trim which everyone hated. They do this to get you to upgrade to the next model up. also dislike large amounts of chrome, it's tacky. GREAT side by side comparisons. Super handy. If you haven't done so, an ltz to a high country comparison would be nice. I'd probaly want an Ltz with z71 trim package and a gasser. LASTLY Nissan still does the rear flat floor storage better. Gm should copy that.
It’s not the same grill as last years it still got facelifted with a different grill. If you don’t like chrome get a custom or wt model. There is also a midnight option option on lts
Another copy cat review
Designed to confuse the customer - what a load of.
You can get the back seat storage seat in cloth in the LT
Thanks for the correction!
Too much sensor, Too much failure
For the algorithm 🤩🥰💪🫶😁😎👌🥸🤓🥳🫡
