You are right, Icm have a nice 72nd scale kit now... About this Zero, please note that many parts are not glued in place, like canopy parts, no figure, antenna isn't glued in the correct angle because it's connected to clear parts etc. Just in place for ez line, test build, very nice kit and easy assembly. I don't have Eduard kit in my stash for comparison. Just wonderful Tamiya kits in 32nd scale and one Hasegawa 52 also in 32nd. the best! D.
Yes it is..I’m a big Japanese WW2 aircraft fan and waiting for the new ICM Sally in 1/48..Hope more model manufactures see there’s a big gap in 48th for Japanese aircraft..My dream is to see a jake in 48th as well as many more.!
All well and good, but it seems that the majority of the new releases are leaning heavily towards A6Ms. Ki-43s, Ki-44s, Ki-61s (yes, I know the 1/48 TMIYA Ki-61 IS a MASTERPIECE) and Ki-84s, (among quite a few others), seemed to have a little something to do with the Japanese Army during WWII. On a personal note, I'd like to see more 1/48 Japanese BOMBERS... Thanks for reading...
The Eduard kit might be better, but it's almost twice the price (according to Amazon). So I'd be perfectly happy with this kit. Excellent detail, and you did a great job!
I admire. 1. That your able to handle wearing those glues for any amount of time and 2. That your able to assemble your models wearing those same gloves!! 🤣🤣 Have you ever assembled semi trucks? Or mostly airplanes? I really enjoy your videos and all the cool tricks and tips that I'm noticing and learning.
Greetings my friend, that was a excellent build and paint job on the Zero, as others have said, you don't see many Japanese aircraft being built, best regards mate, from Australia
Your relaxing quick build looks like what many of your viewers aspire to create - beautifully done without a lot of unnecessary complication. The kit looks very much like many recent Academy releases - unfussy build, nicely detailed, but maybe overdoing it a bit with the rivets and fabric surfaces. I’d love to see a three-way comparison with the Eduard and the old standard Hasegawa. It’s a shame Tamiya never re-tooled their ancient A6M2, or that would be an even harder choice!
Wow impressive model from Academy definitely getting this one great details and not over complicated with internal details like an Eduard kit but this is awesome, you did an amazing job as always great stuff looking forward to the next video Dusan thanks for sharing
Great build! Seems like this is comparable to the Eduard kit, in some aspects even better (wingtip options landing gear fit decals and flaps). Maybe the fabric surfaces are a little bit overdone but that's not a big deal... Hope they will release more variants in the future!
Looks like a great kit, I’m happy we have more Japanese airplane kits being released. But for the painting guide, I would use the Eduard colour callouts over Academy’s (Ie gear bay should be the olive grey of the rest of the plane and not aotake). And the installation of the gear legs is pretty clever
Yes but this is a Mitsubishi built Zero, so that’s why I didn’t go into a whole essay on the different paint idiosyncrasies (I’ve had to do that way too much with the latest wave of people building the Eduard Zero)
Truly positive location for the landing gear, that's outstanding. It was really a PITA in the Eduard kit, only negative during the build. Eduard should step up their game in this department. Vague landing gear attachments are something that you'd expect from short run kits, not from state of the art kits.
Здравствуйте, прекрасная сборка) я случайно испортил модель самолёта, переборщил с грунтом и краской,что можно сделать с моделью( Очиститель монтажной пены "убил" расшивку и пластик будто поплыл
Thanks for your kind words, I really can't tell you exactly what air pressure I am using. My gauge is broken, but anyway, I can't see it. I regulate the a.pressure mostly by sound. On mac valve , approximately you can use for 50/50 mix 1.3b and for highly thinned paint, camouflage effect etc. Use approximately 0.9b sometimes, even less. I know that this won't be exactly the answer, but try and see what suits you best! Again, thanks, and all the best!
Does Academy 1/48 zero is as good as Tamiya's 1/48 zero which was released in 2008. As far as fitting, easy to build, not too cluttered yet somewhat detailed...
Looks like a great fitting kit. Though I don't like the gear attachment. Forced to add it before the wings go together, I prefer to add gear as a last step after finishing.
idk why but every time i see Zero, it always looks .... fat.... thick to me. Like those American dive bombers. When Zero is actually small, but it always looks fat to me.
This is quite possibly the worst model kit I've built for a "modern" kit. The fit is questionable. The instructions have several mistakes. The details are soft and the decals are...meh... I got suckered in to buying it because of the canopy mask. No excuses.
It’s nice to see Japanese aircraft getting some attention from the manufacturers

@@ScaleModelAircraft the 1/48 Eduard kit is very nice as well. Probably their best kit to date in my opinion. I’ll be sure to check this one out too.

@@nycj3ahudson341 An A5M would be nice as would a G3M. So correct about the bombers.

thanks for sharing this quick build. The kit appears to be really well made in fit and detail. great subject for Midway build

Looks like Academy is stepping up their game as well. A short while ago we got a nice Wildcat, and now an A6M2. Good going.
The Zero always seemed an unfussy almost "plainjane" type of aircraft until someone like you gets his hands on one. Great stuff, really fine finish.
YES! A seated pilot and wheels up option! Thank Dog below Academy!
Someones jumping up and down
Yes please !

That cockpit looks amazing and like your painting of it.
The first I've seen this. Great build.
Excellent Work on build and painting.
An absolutely superb build presentation. Fantastic videography, superior modeling skills/technique and a “clutch” soundtrack . Thank you. Bravo!
Amazing work as always I need to go shopping soon for more supplies 🙂
Looking forward to the big projects coming up!

Great quick build, would be interesting to compare with the Eduard as that is considered the very best Zero in this scale
Great build! Beautiful end result :) Love your channel

Nice build a nice looking kit love the winging fold nice to see 🤗
Excellent done. looks so good. And kit is very well promising. All the best for You! ;)
lovely kit , well done !
So now I'd like to see the other four versions! Your work was excellent!
Looks amazing nice work as always
Great build 🏅
Very nice weathering.
*A mythical subject built with mastery, congrats!*
very well done

If you're building a scheme for a Mitsubishi-built plane, then yes, the gear bays are gray. If Nakajima-built, aotake is correct

このキットは素晴らしい🎉今自分も制作中ですが最高です😁
Great work as usual 😁

splendie comme toujours👍
Great Build !
Lovely Zero and videography.
Look good. I will surely buy this one!
Awesome build lad, keep it up 😉👏
Thanks 😁
This looks a great kit..Detail is cool
Looks awesome.
What's the best pressure value for airbrush? You are one of the best maker that I ever seen!

Nice work!
awesome build
Love the result, but I would like to see Japanese aircraft that haven't been modeled yet.
Definitely would like to see a 1/48 P1Y1 Ginga.
Как всегда - работа 👍🏻
just a comment. The decking behind the pilot was actually painted black. Not the cockpit colour.
Hello, I watch your videos every day. You use Tamiya Surface Spray. You used airbrush for Surface before. Is Tamiya Spray a good choice?
I like this aircraft ❤️👍🤗
Wow, looks as god or better Eduard A6M2.
What is the type of your pen knife, feel so cute, curved blade, different than other common brand,ex,tamiya or olfa, thx😜
Excellent !! 👏👏👏👏👏
As always, great video. Is this model available now?
I'm👍 answering my own comment, it looks like it should be out anytime now.
Great build. For future reference, Japanese cowls were painted a deep blue color. Mr. Color C125 is the correct color.

これは日本の今の業界に対するアカデミーの解答だろ❗️
...ооооочень красивый набор!..
Very good 👏
Under paint the rivets will be okay.
Are you going to do a special on the new Airfix 1/24 spitfire
There are a lot of videos on the Airfix Spit on youtube already, how many more do you need .
Oh my.... Excellent job !
What is your next big project ?
😍😍😍😍😍😍
How does it compare to Eduards?
Landing gear bays were painted in the bottom color, not aotake iro, this is a common mistake. Note it, please!
Looks like a great fitting kit. Though I don't like the gear attachment. Forced to add it before the wings go together, I prefer to add gear as a last step after finishing.
Is this a Redbox of the Eduard kit?
This is Academy's own mold, not the Eduard's kit.
素晴らしい
good
👍👍
Your Mojo must be off the charts if this is a filler build 😂
It looks odd compared to the new Eduard, which is dead on in every way.
Tail Wheel looks too high.

Hehe funny those respirator advices, dont use one while spraying and still alive
the model itself is great.gorgeous. the quality of your painting is terrible!. bumps and shagreen
