I saw this performance ( Dug-La) as a young dance student 25 years ago and it has forever moved my heart. Thank you to the amazing choreographers and performers. ❤🙏
This was an incredible session ... on so many levels ... As a dance aficionado I learned so much more about the piece. I happen to be a 'Trini" like Holder, and it was also remarkable to hear all the stories about him, and his incredible spirit. As Black people in the Caribbean, we were much closer to our African roots on some levels, and it struck me in listening to the experiences, that this is what Holder brought to America. He was able to unleash that Divine strength that was so suppressed in Blacks in the USA. We need that inspiration so much today! Glad that DTH is part of carrying that eternal flame! I was lucky to see DTH perform the piece live in Toronto where I live now. Looking forward to seeing the video versions on the weekend, thanks for making them available!
