I miss regular doses of Jason. He is the (former) automotive journalist with whom I most agree/identify/respect. The e30 wagon remains as awesome as ever!
@@BMWGroupClassicThe slogan should be "Our Brand, YOUR stories" Like when L'Oreal changed "because I'm worth it" said by amazing looking women on TV to "because you're worth it". Much better. Your Brand, their Stories.
It took me 10 years to rebuild my E30, reached out to BMW classic group several times for parts and never a peep from them, I guess you have to be Jason to get a response 😎. Great video
Wow. I can really relate with this one. My 91 318is was my first car purchased around 7 years ago. I punished that poor little engine, many road trips, country cruises, corner/Hill runs.... I had the time of my life and I had no idea how good I truly had it, because in June last year I unfortunately rear ended another driver and was met with the reality of potentially needing to part ways with my car... After much theory crafting, I decided to keep it. Well I'm 3 or 4 months into repairs now and like Jason, I'm making sure everything is absolutely correct and the way it should be, with a few tasteful upgrades along the way, it's a pleasure.
..just 'nice' and to the point. Jason I don't really know your work but that just happens. U 'n BMW have another follower. Just nice mate. As mush as it has it to be. Thanx!!!
This is the most "regular Joe" journalist there is. He just drive his cars with passion and make sure to buy silly things and show then to the world. I own a 2002 VW wagon, Brazilian market, 1.0 16V Turbo factory fitted. Those are the cars I really like to be around. I also own a 2016 320i, but no way I'd sell my little wagon for some modern car.
Late 20s? I purchased my first BMW a 87 325IS Then soon laster a 535is. I would like move out of Cali only the o have affordable room for vehicles. Jason. I tell my wife I'm not the only person like this out there. Marin county has real car enthusiast! Just no housing (affordable housing)
I have a Touring just like yours Jason, Factory Recaros, Eibachs, Bilstien, B & M shifter, LSD , Remus Exhaust, OBC, Black Simmons B45s and more I'm sure I haven listed. Also a Stock Standard Delphin Grey 325is they are my children. They're names are Chalize and Charles (Charlie) respectfully. I will try to make a Vid for you.
I like this Adam Sandler Clone :D But he and his old Video (Ignition EP144) from around 2015 (that the removed from UA-cam) where he shows how his E30 Touring with 2.7L Mod (around 205hp at the crank, when done right) and Semi Slicks, is just 0.6 slower on a Race Track (the E30 basicaly lost, because of the long straight line at the end) as a new 340i (Straight 6 with BiTurbo and 320hp) with M3 Sport Package + Track Package. After that Video, the prices for any E30 rised, even here in Germany ! In 2014 a good 325 was around 3000 (even the very rare 323i, was around 3000 as automatic) in 2015 ~3500, in 2016 ~ 5000, and after that, it went just crazy ! Even a good 320i was around 3500€ in 2015, now you can be happy, when you get a good 320i (yeah a 320, no 325) for 8000€ And because Adam Sandler know that, he removed the Video.
I got 3 E30 (i bought them many years ago, when they were cheap) and i highly recommend you to buy a expensive one, that is genuine. My first one a 325i with M-Technic 2 Pakage (i bought it in 2007 for 3500€) is genuine, the interieur is like new. My second 325i that i bought for the same price in 2015, was garbage inside ! Just the replacement from all the broken plastic parts alone did cost 1000€ ! and i did not count the M-Technic Leater Sport Seats (these are extreme expensive) You can always find a engine (or parts for that), you can always find a clutch/brakes/etc, you can always find someone that paint the car, you can always find someone who know to weld the car. But you cant find all the parts for a clean interieur for cheap, and without buying from many meople around. Refreshing the interieur is expensive as f*|*|*| you must search and search and search ! and buy from some many different people, it's just nerve wrecking. If a Class A E30 is to expensive, then i recommend you Before you buy a E30 with a good engine, good rust condition, but bad interieur (this includes seats and the sunroof) like i did with my second one. Buy a car with a bad engine, middle class rust problems, and a clean interieur ! My 3rd E30 (a 316 with carburetor engine) is the later type ! And it's by far less nerve wrecking and expensive to rebuild as the second E30 with all the brocken/missing interieur. I give the Car to a painter and say "Here, paint it !". I give the car to someone who can weld, and sav "Weld it !" and i got no Stress. But when i must search first on 300 places for interieur parts (and pay a fortune in total) and mount them (the dashboard replacement alone was 8 hours of work) then it's just stress. Stress that cost time, time that you can spend better with your friends or family !
Yeah it's nearly impossible to find the "Velor" Sportseats for a good price, even more without cracks. The good thing is when you use leather, there are a ton of people that can stick the leather on the seats, and leather is always aviable. If you want Velor (what i like mutch mire) there is just one adress in germany that i know, that can let produce (and import) any "Velor" Pattern, from Turkey. www.oldtimer-textiles.de/polstermaterial/audi-neu/bmw-neu-1/ It's around 110€ per m² Here the translated links English translate.google.de/translate?hl=de&sl=de&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.oldtimer-textiles.de%2Fpolstermaterial%2Faudi-neu%2Fbmw-neu-1%2F czech translate.google.de/translate?hl=de&sl=de&tl=cs&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.oldtimer-textiles.de%2Fpolstermaterial%2Faudi-neu%2Fbmw-neu-1%2F
Freaking Jason know what to own, and where's the $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Also in my opinion Bmw doesn't build solid like they did till 2010 to America. Oh yeah man, by the way lot of people in America using e30 body, with s85 v10, this is sick man. Anyway e30 legends love em.

I wish my local BMW dealer in Fort Lauderdale had the same momentum and enthusiasm as the BMW classic group
E30 325i are just simply fantastic little cars. I've owned two in my time and wouldn't hesitate to buy another if the right example turned up.
What a beautiful touring!
beautiful speech and recollection

Why did I get this feeling that I am never ever, reve reven going to see /touch /smell /feel anything BMW before I start decomposing, 6 feet under?

He is back, for our new web series "Work in Progress".

Did BMW not pay him or piss him off some way? He's a hater of anything BMW does these days lol
Is there an lsd in that bad boy? 🤔
Wow Adam Sandler has a 325 wagon 😮
