I live in Victoria and come here all the time it’s amazing
We really enjoyed wandering around Chinatown, and of course the food was wonderful! You're very lucky to live in such an amazing city!!! Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it :)
This place looks so awesome!!! You really made me want to go to Canada!!!
It is a great place. Canada is quite beautiful and has some spectacular scenery.
I'm getting to explore the world with you and I m loving it!😁
Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it. I'm eating my way around the world lol.
Excellent pronunciation on the different Chinese dim sum dishes. The day vs night scenes were very pretty. I appreciated that you provided the prices of the items. 👍👏
Great restaurant review! Also I'm pleased to say all the restaurants you visited are still open for business three years later. Had to be sure since I'm taking my always hungry wife to Victoria next month.
That's so great to hear that they're all still in business, as unfortunately a lot of restaurants have had a difficult time! Hope you're able to enjoy some of these, and maybe find some new ones. Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it :)
I'm going here in a month. I'm so excited!
That was our first time in Victoria and we loved it. It's such a walkable town and the city is quite beautiful. Enjoy yourself!
My favourite Chinese restaurant is Lotus Pond. It's 2 blocks from Chinatown on Johnson St. it's a vegan restaurant, but you would even know it
Thank you for the great recommendation! We always love to hear of new places that we can try on our next visit. Also, thank you for watching, we really appreciate it :)
Yum! I love dim sum. Now I'll have to go after seeing your video.
I love Dim Sum too! Enjoy!
Excellent pronunciation of all the dim sum dishes 👍👍. You did a wonderful day vs night scenery and I certainly appreciated that you provided the prices of different items. 👍👏
Thanks for watching! We love dim sum and of course, have our favourite dishes. We really enjoy checking out the different restaurants and trying their specialties. I'm hungry just thinking about it :)
Great video! Wow that Ramen looks amazing!
Thanks, yes it was!
So great video!
Yes, we had some really tasty food in Chinatown!
Also I used to work at a Starbucks that was kitty corner to Shizen sushi on Fisgard and Government and I'd go there for their Miso soup to go. it was very cheap!
Sounds good, we'll keep it in mind when we're back in Victoria! Thanks again for watching :)
Looks like you got a yummy meal in Chinatown 👍
All the food was delicious!
Love China town, I stumbled on dragon alley the other day. It was pretty neat
The alleys are so cool. First time having bubble tea for me and just about choked on the first sip lol.
@@TakeTimeToTravel yes the alleys are amazing. Ya you gotta be careful with that bubble tea lol
Shanghai Noodles and Miso Ramen at I Kyu Noodle.
Great recommendation! Thanks for watching :)
I’m passing this video on to a family I know who have been thinking of moving to BC but unsure of the city. I enjoyed this video a lot!! (Minus the seafood though because I’m allergic) 😅 I love Bubble Tea though
Thanks for watching. Victoria is a great city. The weather is very moderate (although quite a bit of rain in the winter) and it's very walkable. The harbour is quite beautiful and the mountains are nearby.
@@TakeTimeToTravel I don't love lots of rain but I would choose rain over snow any day 😅... I definitely have to visit!
Nice video about Victoria Chinatown! I think I will make the trek from Nanaimo down to Chinatown for some Don Mee dim sum and bubble tea next door tomorrow! I'll bring my camera to film it all too 😁
Thanks for watching! Don Mee was really tasty, as was the bubble tea afterwards. That was my first bubble tea and I just about choked on a bubble on the first sip lol. Let me know how it was.
@@TakeTimeToTravel It was delicious and enjoy my short visit to Victoria's Chinatown. Hopefully after the pandemic I can hang out longer and explore more of Victoria's Chinatown and the surrounding areas.
@@BC250 I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
Nice video. We are living in Victoria now. You should go to ghost Ramen and chubby dumpling to make a review
Thanks for watching and for the recommendations. We are living in Toronto now, for the winter, but hope to get back to Victoria sometime and will check them out. Cheers :)
Great video! Has anyone told you that you are very similar to Rick Steve's in the way you speak and present your videos? If you don't know him, be sure to check him out. He has a very popular European Travel Show syndicated on TV.
Haha that's too funny. We have a friend who says the same thing. We do watch him and enjoy his videos.
How would you compare to the food in Toronto’s China town?
They are both amazing! Toronto's Chinatown is significantly larger though, and has much more variety.
Do you reccomend Oceanside Garden?
We don't really know Oceanside Garden, sorry. Cheers :)
Is there anywhere you can get good sweat and sour chicken sauce?
Not really sure on where to get the best sauce. We loved the food that we had while we were in Victoria's Chinatown, and would love to get back there again soon! Thank you for watching :)

eat eat eat....
Hahaha, we do like to eat! Thanks for watching :)
the sound is not good I am quite disappointed
I'm so sorry that you were disappointed. I just watched the video again and the sound was alright. I'm not sure why you had a problem, but thank you for watching :)
Horrible review. Disgusting food and over the top prices. I know. I live here. Better to go to Red Robin, or even McDonalds.
I'm afraid we'll probably skip your recommendations, but thanks for watching.
