We're not sure what path we took, but we just used Google Maps. It took us about 45 minutes in total to get right up to the palace, and it's uphill all the way. That's great to hear that you will be retiring soon! We love travelling full time, although it may not be for everyone. So by that measure, there aren't many restaurants genuinely affordable any more. I am speaking as a person paying rent in Vancouver; most of my money goes straight to my landlord.

When you are leaving the airport building, there are a lot of guys offering free rides to your hotel...just avoid them! They will take you for a long time-share presentation before taking you to your hotel. They can be aggressive too. Just continue outside and you can find the authorized taxi booth. After seeing so many videos and pictures of cave houses, we knew we wanted to stay in one! We thought it was a great deal and it looks like it's about $450 CAD per night in the summer...yikes! Thanks for watching :)

We loved walking all of these narrow streets, and the plants and flowers were beautiful! It can be difficult to film a walking tour with so many people around, but I think Mike did a great job of navigating around them lol. Thanks for watching :)

Haha, that's true! It's so nice to see all of the cats that seem to be everywhere in Greece. In Athens, people leave dishes of food and water outside their doors, on the sidewalk for the many cats. Mike loved stopping and petting all of them lol. Thanks for watching :)

Yea they were tiny in some spots, especially in Anafiotika. We never seemed to run into dead ends, they just kind of looped around to another pathway eventually. We also never really got lost, just kept wandering until we found something we recognized lol.

Hopefully you'll enjoy these restaurants as much as we did! Quite often you will see us leaving a restaurant with a large bag of leftovers lol, because we order a number of dishes to give them a try. We do like to eat though...but we always try to walk at least 10 or 15 kilometres a day, which helps burn some calories. Thank you for watching, and for your kind words, we really appreciate it :)

We also found Medellin was much better! It really is too bad because Cartagena is such a beautiful city with an amazing history, great food and also nice beaches. Unfortunately it seems to be a common complaint from many travellers about the pushy vendors. Hoping that this can improve in the future and people will be willing to return again and again.
