Following the tragic death of his former girlfriend - seemingly caused by his own attempt to save her - Peter Parker (Warden Wayne) lingers in his guilt of the past, questioning whether the curse of his alter ego should be buried for good. This is the Definitive Spider-Man fan film, no offense to the other Spidey fan films they are great as well.
The good thing about this project and how it’s going to turn out, is it’s taking the classic story after Gwen dies, and turning it into a internal conflict. Instead of it going, “Gwen dies, Peter feels bad, gets revenge, beats the bad guy, and the day is saved”, it looks like its going to be an internal conflict within Peter and I don’t think he’s going to fight anyone or anything in this story. It’s going to be a more mature tone and a more thoughtful story than the traditional Spider-Man movies.

@@Solahi-kq2gz It does not, it is amateurishly shot, clearly. This has nothing to do subjectivity, those shots were objectively bad unfortunately. All of you people treat the project like a gift sent from god, even before this teaser. So much so Gavin had to remind people not to compare other Spider-Man Fanfilms negatively to his (Let me remind you, the movie doesn’t even exist at this point smh)
I come off harsh, but I just really want to see this project be something greater than just another Spidey fan film. The story Gavin is teasing is very exciting, bad cinematography is too distracting, which is my issue.
@@Solahi-kq2gz Have you read the comments? A lot of the people exciting for the project seems to believe Gavin can do no wrong. As I stated in the previous comment, I just really want to see this project succeed in the best possible way. In interviews with Gavin, he focuses a lot on the look of the movie. I don’t care about terrible film festival movies, I care about this project. To me it’s sad to see that Gavin didn’t spend more money on the gear, instead of just having a red Komodo on a gimbal. Yes the teaser is a teaser, but why release something that looks unfinished. Why not strive to perfection on a passion project? I admire his ability to collect a team of passionate crew members and actors who look beyond promising. But when a crucial part of the production lacks quality (Cinematography division) then change it up.
To your point of it being a learning curve for Gavin, I absolutely cannot agree with you. If you choose your first ever movie making project to be a feature film, then you are stupidly arrogant and naiv. A passion project has to be optimal in every way possible, no easy compromises. I certainly hope Gavin has made a few shorts before this, because he seems to know how to direct crew members and keep spreading an optimistic mindset on set and the production in general.
Also I have left a separate comment where I shine a light on my issues with the short teaser. I will not sit and make a detailed walkthrough on how to setup a scene the right way through a YT comment.

This really looks promising! This has potential to be a great character study. Spider-Man is my favourite comic book superhero, and maybe even favourite fictional character, and this looks to be a passionate love letter to the character.

I think Spiderman Homecoming was good but Far From Home yeah not so much. I kinda wish Marvel and DC would allow fans to profit on these projects cause I honestly don't think if fans profited on these projects it won't harm their company. Also if there so scared that they will hurt their company then they should hire these fans like GJ Konop and give guys like him the budget to do a movie and I am sure it would be great. I think it would make the fanbase a lot happier and I think these guys could produce good stuff.

Mate the visuals already look top notch just from this. I can tell you took a lot of time to plan and storyboard it all. Production value looks insane. The whole crew should be proud.
No it does not. How can you you tell me those shots look great. The composition, lighting and coloring is terrible. It’s quite sad that Gavin didn’t hire a real cinematographer for this project, because the production design and cinematography really falls short.

@@bolbol6434 You need to understand that I have been really excited for this project, because of Gavins ambition and talent of bringing a crew together (As seen on Instagram, it’s really impressive) The only thing that This project does not look as good as Gavin made it sound in interviews, which is sad.
And yes I come off as a negative hater, but I genuinely think most of you saying the project looks phenomenal and better then a Hollywood production is contributing to the project in a bad way.
With a budget of +40k he should have been able to hire a cinematographer with some skills.
@@kirederf7862 To be clear, I'm not one of those people who're comparing it to Hollywood productions. Gavin already stated that, it's a love letter to Spider-Man, not to compete with the other iterations.
Gavin hired Tristan (his cinematographer) before even the whole funding process.
Gavin maybe saw some potential to his skills that is perfect for the film. He didn't expect that they'll get so much donations for the film. Besides, they aren't even finished filming and we only saw a few footages.

I'm glad that we got an interpretation of the other side of Spider-Man, that is mostly overlooked and haven't explored in movies. Screw those people who said this lacked action. Truth be Amazing Spider-man 2 has the most comic accurate moment out of all the Spider-man movies. New viewers don’t seem understand just how much Peter Parker has suffered over the years. His parents, uncle Ben, the stacys, sin eater, kraven’s last hunt, the clone sage.
I am being totally honest this is my favorite Spiderman suit ever. It actually looks like the comics Spiderman suit. It does not look fake like MCU's version and it looks better than Tobey's and Andrew's in my opinion.

I can already tell that this is bringing back the classic Spider-Man, a grounded story with influences from comics, especially with the suit design, a classic look at spidey. From what I can tell, we can see the after math of the infamous Gwen Stacy clock tower death with Spider-Man being a ‘criminal’ in the eyes of the law and tbh I’m glad this is the story that they’ve gone with, though I like the MCU Spider-Man, he doesn’t really give me the comic vibes that perhaps sell the character as his own person rather than a mix of stark and the avengers. I can’t wait to see what this film has to bring :D

After so many days asking Sony Pictures to release a trailer for Holland's film ... and the GJ Konop team amazes us with an emotional 1 minute trailer where I have been shedding tears from my eyes because of the tonality it transmits.
This looks extremely professional! We started out with amazing fan films like Peter's Web and here we are now...an era where fan films are indistinguishable from cinema productions.
This is the greatest spider-man trailer we've gotten since spider-man 2. And it looks like it could be the best spider-man movie since then, period
