Spider-Man has been a huge part of my life so when I heard about the Lotus fan film project, I almost jumped out of my underoos. Luckily they stayed on, and I was blessed with the chance to go see the film premiere in person. What does this film mean for the future of filmmaking? 1.) you’re just a lotus fanboy defending a terrible fan film from criticism. It’s shot poorly, the lighting is trash, the acting is bad, and the dialogue is also corny.
2.) there’s dozens of videos dismantling this shit lotus mess
3.) it doesn’t matter if the director or actor did “stuff years ago” they are admitted racists and toxic people, which you probably are yourself since you condone that behavior.
4.) Green Goblin actor John Salandria is a pedophile and admitted he was waiting for one of his actors to turn 18.
5.) You’re probably one of the few friends of this generational cheesy kids behind of the film’s failure.
This video is absolute fire. So many open loops in the first 2.5 minutes. So many shots, music changes, little elements added here and there. Sheesh
heyo! I was the set photographer and premiere photographer and just wanted to say this video is insanely well-crafted and such a treat to watch. Not only because you interviewed my good friend and loved the movie but because you just know how to make an insane video!

I will say it’s a bit long and certain parts where it probably doesn’t need to be they could probably cut about 15 minutes
It was very interesting and refreshing to find a Spider-Man movie that focuses on the drama over the action, and focuses on the storytelling rather than the fighting I hope to see more projects like this
Film making is doom if we get more of this trash
that part, but when the dialogue is poorly written and acting is terrible to bland...id rather watch a 1 hour and 40 min compilation of the cgi scenes and opening credits on loop.

Despite what people think about Lotus, I find it pretty nice that everyone at the premiere seemed to have a good time.
I really enjoyed this movie.

@@CameronCamuso-dm8tx Yeah, understandable. I wasn't too fond of it, myself. I mean, i could tell they really loved the books and movies, just from the references scattered throughout. And the editing was good for a student film, but i just didn't get what the story was trying to tell.
Didn't like the humour too much, either. I'd rather The Long Haul than that, honestly.

As someone that backed and saw this film, it wasn’t good. The pacing was bad, the writing was awful, and the cinematography wasn’t good either. We can argue about budget but writing is free and it costs nothing but time to do revisions on the script. The chemistry between talent was cringe as well along with those long establishing shots. Overall I know it’s a fan film but so much could’ve been saved and done right. 4/10

Some of these people never apologized. Some did (Gunn, Wahlberg, Gibson, Sawyer, and the Lotus director (as he said those things as kid when he was around 14 to 15).
Some people can forgive due to understanding people can change. Some cant.
But if you're supporting the above list in some means but refusing to with this director, then shows some kinda of bias and maybe some hypocrisy.
How do you know why he apologized? How would it look if he didn't apologize? What would have been better? You speak as if your past is shiny and as if you've done no wrong. He owned up to his mistake and decided to go full thrust into his project, completing it. If I a afro latino male can forgive this man and not use his past against him then so can you. Cuz while you're not forgiving and focusing on the past, he's moving on going to the next project. and the next.

Or perhaps having a premier is a nice way to celebrate and honour the various cast and crew members for their hard work on an ambitious project years in the making. As for the comments made by the Director, perhaps there are some people who are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he has grown into a better person since then, and not judge and condemn him for the rest of his life for mistakes he made when he was a dumb edgy teenager looking for attention. Surprisingly, there are a lot of people out there who like to believe in the best of people and that we can all grow as individuals, rather than support the cancel culture movement and ruin a person's life forever because they have a moral superiority complex on Twitter.

This film and director didn’t deserve a premiere like this.
