Pretty good explanation of what is typically called Traveling ChaCha or in some places called Progressive ChaCha. This dance travels or progresses around the floor like a 2step or waltz, etc. Cowboy ChaCha, on the other hand, is a position dance danced in the middle of the floor. Dance floors in Denver Cowboy ChaCha is a choreographed dance with everyone doing the same moves and looks much like a partner line dance. In other locales Cowboy ChaCha is still a position dance but with more flexibility and individual creativity. Perhaps How To Dance Country can edit their title to include the words Traveling and Progressive to attract more views.
But like I said an overall good explanation of this dance!

Thank you! I'm actually doing a much more detailed video of this dance soon, but I'll also be doing one on the line dance version, which is everyone in the middle dancing individually. Every region has their own verbage and things that they call a certain dance, but you are right this is would be considered traveling or progressive. It might be a bit much to try to include Partner, Traveling and Progressive all in one title LOL, but I can certainly include those in my keywords, thanks for the suggestion! And I have never seen the version where they are partnered up but doing a line dance in the middle instead of around the outside, that's interesting... Thank you for your comment!

Hey you this one. If you’re looking to cowboy cha-cha, the correct way in western bar with a pretty girl, this is the dance you need to learn

Supposedly there’s a partner *line* dance version of the cowboy cha cha, where the partners basically dance in place. There are two versions I found on YT, one is basically what you’re doing here but you don’t progress (1 wall), the other is cha-cha in place, the cha-cha pivot in place, then I think the cha-cha and leader turn and follower turn… somewhere in there the couple will make a quarter turn to change walls (4 walls).
Got any pointers on how we figure out what version we’re supposed to do?

Every club is different, It just depends on what they do there. Asking the DJ always helps.

Down in Oz we do the 4 wall version, the lead is on the right and turns. Still has the partner/follow variations and is usually done to the "Pretty Woman" track.

Thank you so much! I'm actually planning on redoing my Cowboy Cha-Cha video to add more detail, and when I do I'm planning on doing the singles/line dance version also.
