Sonic Rush ("Extra" Cutscenes)

After collecting the Sol emeralds, Blaze wonders how she'll get home when she is ambushed by both Eggman and Eggman Nega. After Sonic saves her, both he and Blaze use both sets of the Emeralds to go super and stop both of the Eggheads once and for all.

(8:40) So what did Sonic give Blaze, anyway?
Was he just suggesting the handshake, or was he offering some sort of communicator so he could talk to Blaze here: 10:11 (which would likely be a Tails device)
Though the scene does give the impression that its a memory of a conversation rather than an ongoing one, but that would bring in to question: A) When did they have this conversation? B) What indeed was Sonic offering Blaze?
I mean, I guess there is also the question of what he was whispering to Cream (14:00), but I'm fine with that just being left open to the imagination; there's already enough implication that it was something about Blaze.

Well, either that or they wanted to share their Life Points for playing Return from the Different Dimension.
