In one of his most recent video he describes being able to move around the map and how the zombies behave. He says that SOE has bad tp spots and that Dead of the Night has a tp to PP. If these things are true then SOE should be rated higher because literally all tps take you to PP (it takes 5 seconds to walk my apologies on the inconvenience) with this in mind there are contradictions in his criteria. Therefore I don't think that he should be criticizing zombie maps if his criteria is all out of wack. So that is why i said do not let him cook
He did it well and he did it proudly. The community doesn’t really earn any respect if they go out of their way to hate on a fellow fan’s opinion. The world is beautiful because it’s varied, and he showed actual points for why he likes/dislikes various maps. I’d say this is a solid list.

I think his ability to see positives in maps and games that most people pretend to hate and flaws in maps and games that most people blindly praise is worthy of respect. @@CJSanta Yeah dude, implementing a health cap on the zombies so they don't get any stronger past round 35, letting the player get to 200+ on 7 of the 8 maps without moving is a very good design decision. Making the game significantly easier was TOTALLY a very good innovation.
@I__am__Racist The health cap is on round 55. You can easily get to high rounds without camping. That is a choice the player makes. You can easily train or camp, depends on the kind of player you are.

Since you did not understand what my comment about camping to 200+ was about, I am going to assume that, outside of Der Anfang for whatever reason you mentioned in the video, you have not played any one map extensively and do not understand why the player being able to camp an entire zombies game from setup to completion is bad for the game. The fact that the player has the option to sit in one corner, only moving to buy trench gun ammo, silver bullets or not moving ever in the case of Ancient Evil with Exalted Gauntlets, is bad for the game as it removes the need for optimization beyond spawning with the Welling on IX for faster 100 times, whilst also making maps less unique due to every map having the same strategy, with the strategy being to either camp with the Hellion or on BOCW's case, camp with ring of fire and any grenade launcher alongside the wonder weapon. The player should not have the option to camp, and they will always choose it if the option is present, since it can turn a 100 hour game into a 70 hour game, since camping will always be faster if possible.

I understand that this is an opinionated list, so I know certain maps aren't going to fall into certain spots that the overall community would put them. That being said, you have to lack some sort of fundamental understanding of zombies with some of these map placements. Just because something can be found in a map that came before it, doesn't mean that the map that reused it is bad. If that was true, every map after nacht would be by definition, bad. Because every map is just kill zombies, get points to open doors, get guns, kill more zombies, survive as long as possible. You can get all of that from w@w nacht. So there's no reason to play any other map. Everything else unique in each map is technically just a gimmick, a trick to make you think there's something new.

You can’t put DE at 42 because the wonder weapons are “unoriginal” (which they absolutely are not) and also put maps like alpha omega in the top ten. It’s ridiculous contradiction and you’re most likely doing this just to anger people. DE is a top 5 map and there’s absolutely no argument against it.
I can because it's my opinion. The staffs were the first set of elemental wonder weapons, but they had more functions than just killing. Their upgraded versions did more melee damage than the bows, they also had a secondary function where they could insta revive a team mate. As DE takes a lot of elements from mob and origins, I prefer the original idea. I didn't put anything where I did to "anger peeople" that is a ridiculous assumption. I placed everything where it is because it's my honest opinions about the maps that I love playing. Which I made a video already, talking more in depth about why I love Alpha Omega so much. There are arguments against DE, which I don't even think is a bad map, I just personally don't like it.

@power2208 the concept of taking a classic wonder weapon from a previous game, and then giving it elemental upgrades is a new original concept. But that's just one reason why I like the map, I enjoy it's easter egg and all the features you unlock by doing it. See it doesn't always matter if a map is a remake or remaster, it's about what they give it that makes it stand out from the original and how they play.

As much as I disagree with most of this list being and shadows being as low, it was SO refreshing to see my favorite bo3 map get some love at #3. Also love the fact that WaW maps weren’t considered mid-tier solely because they were the “groundwork for zombies” and there was no way they could be considered lackluster because they didn’t know how big zombies would become; that argument has gotten so stale. You stated that it's lazy to put a section of a map from the same game into a new map, when vanguard advertised the archon as a new map but it's just Terra but with a green filter. Not to be disrespectful but I think that it's just blatant hypocrisy. I don't mean to come off like an asshole but that's what it feels like seeing you place the archon above DE.

You should know that I only think the bottom 10 are "bad maps". The rest I love and play consistently. It's the maps I find the most fun playing being higher.

Doesnt like DE because the bows are to similar to origins staffs. Likes the uniqueness of the getting elements from zombies for the krakens in voyage when they are even more of a copy the staffs. 3 of the 4 elements are the exact same.

Zombies in spaceland is the best looking, most re-playable map in zombies history. Idk why but the vibe of spaceland is so good and the boss fight and wonder weapons are absolutely perfect for the vibe of the map. I even enjoy doing the crock Strat for high rounds more than any other high round strategy in zombies history.

As my 2nd favorite map of all time, or might even be my first to be honest, i 100% agree and support this statement. Zombies in Spaceland is the best casual zombies experience in history. Its literally Kino der Toten but actually innovates debuting the IW mechanics which execute with the map perfectly, doesn't get boring past round 30 and offers a basic yet balanced high round requiring players to use skill and not camp, and by god one of the most aesthetically pleasing maps ever. Its an 80's based amusement park, you cant tell me that isn't remotely cool or intriguing. I wont say the EE is one of the best out there but its a prefect challenge with an awesome boss fight that keeps you on your heels all the way through. If we wanna talk about flow, Zombies in Spaceland has a perfect "flow" experience. Im glad im not the only one that sees the greatness of IW's one hit wonder.

I don't normally make longer videos, mostly because I don't like watching them myself 😅 but because I want to upload once a week, it would be difficult to make vids long as this all the time 😬 But yes, you should absolutely check out ww2 zombies, it has the most content and bang for your buck. Very underrated, even more so that zombies is having less and less personality.

I worked on this video for a month, while working on other videos. Writing the script, recording footage all while working a full time job. I know my list is very different from others but it's my opinion, it's the maps I have the most fun playing. Not objective, but what I enjoy. You can disagree with it, that's fine. But to dismiss my video which I put alot into as a "lie" or as "bait" is very smug.

I really wanted this video to be not just my honest thoughts on each map, which I played all before making the list again. But also a buildup to my video I had been working on for over a year on my number 1 😄

HOLY BASED. I desagree with A LOT of this list, but still, the recognition to Bo4 was great. Alpha Omega, Classified, Ancient Evil, and Dead of the Night are easily some of the best maps we have ever gotten, the last being my fav of all time along side Origins. Bo4 maps, especially the Chaos ones, have a level of love and creativity that we havent seen in a long time, not only in cod but in gaming as a hole. A shame Bo2 boomers and Bo3heads will never accept that, probably will even play them.
Alpha Omega is easily one of the best maps we've ever gotten? Are you completely insane? Alpha Omega is a rehash of a map that was already notoriously hated that's only made worse by an unnecessarily large layout, recoloured mark 2s, lame story, and absence of difficulty whatsoever. The only redeeming quality of the map is the dialogue which you're better off just listening to on UA-cam. The map is completely lacking in creativity, its a shameless cashgrab that is recognised as such, I cannot believe you actually hold it in such high regard.

Because Rev is more fun to play for me. DE is put on a pedestal when I don't think it deserves it. You can enjoy it, but I think the maps that inspired it, Mob and Origins, are better. Rev might be made up of already existing content but it's about how it plays, and it plays good. It's not "shielded by my opinion" this isn't an objective list, it's completely subjective. If you disagree, make your own list.

@qrow5563 I think there's maybe a misunderstanding, I play all of the games and all of the maps pretty regularly. It may seem like things are low and therfore I dislike them but that's not true, this is just the maps I have the most fun playing. The only maps I think are awful/refuse to play are exo zombies and Outbreak from Cold War. Besides that, I'm up for anything. I just have preferences towards certain maps over others
To be honest I think the Cold War maps were a nice breath of fresh air. Although they were easy it’s nice to have a chill and laid back zombies experience. The mechanics are great, the wonder weapons are really cool, and the Easter eggs aren’t very stressful so I usually like to speedrun them or just do them when I want a fun and casual experience. I prefer harder Easter eggs like Blood of the Dead but cold wars eggs are always fun to do too. Overall great vid. Its refreshing to see a ranking with unpopular opinions even though my list is very different 👍
This is quite possibly my favorite zombie map ranking on UA-cam because I disagree with pretty much all of it. So many people have some order of Origins, Mob, Der Eisendrache, Shadows, and IX/Ancient Evil/Gorod Krovi in their top five (myself included), that it's refreshing to see someone who just likes different maps for different reasons.
I just don't understand how people can't respect someone else's opinion. The immaturity in this comment section is really disappointing to see. People take things way too seriously.
Even though I really disagree with a lot of the picks here(excluding the non-Treyarch maps, I never really went into those), I can say that you definitely put a lot of effort into these maps like EE's, side EE's, etc. Unlike other people who just pick maps and place them from worst to best without actually knowing what's going on.
Apart from the second Easter egg in outbreak, I've completed every single one in all the games. And just to make sure my opinions were sound and up to date, I went through and played every single map up to round 20 to get all the footage for this video. Some maps actually went up and down a few points after doing so. It's all about perspective 👍
I don't agree with all of your takes but that's the point, everyone has their own favorite zombies experience, and everyone gets enjoyment in different ways. I respect your tier list and actually agree with a lot of it, especially BO4 I love that game. The amount of hate is undeserved. Coming up with a unique ranking is much more entertaining and insightful than watching 50 of the same rankings that have DE, MOTD, SOE, and Origins in the top 4 spots with Die Rise, Vanguard, and TranZit at the bottom. I actually find it so refreshing that I’ve watched this ranking 5+ times in the background while I do work.

Love this video, haven’t played all these maps myself but. Zets is my fav zombie map. I could care less about nostalgia although it does have significance in what zombies is it doesn’t necessarily make it a good map so. Refreshing to see someone expressing their opinion solely on your experience. Not the herds . Embarrassing how many people can get so angry even hateful at your opinion on cod zombies. Gotta say, I've been loving ur videos! Really appreciate all the work and effort put in :) keep it up! This was a solid list, although I disagree on a few of them... overall was a nice list. I tend to appreciate the underappreciated non-treyarch zombies. Albeit, some of these maps weren't as good, and definitely deserves the hate - I really enjoyed them for what they were offering. They tried to innovate on the core systems, and attempted to tell us a story (AW, WW2, IW). It was fun in my opinion.. but I think it was only fun for the 1st play through. After doing all the EE's on these maps, I don't really see myself going back to the old non-treyarch maps. Maybe... just maybe i'd hop back on them if I'm extremely bored of current modern zombies (MWZ IM TALKING ABOUT YOU LOL) I wasn't expecting you to put a few vanguard maps so high up there! I never really gave the game a chance, but I will say that vanguard had a lot more atmosphere compared to CW. I'm a sucker for atmosphere and all that (which is probably why I disliked CW so much).

@@CJSanta Yeah dude, implementing a health cap on the zombies so they don't get any stronger past round 35, letting the player get to 200+ on 7 of the 8 maps without moving is a very good design decision. Making the game significantly easier was TOTALLY a very good innovation.

You can easily train or camp, depends on the kind of player you are.

Since you did not understand what my comment about camping to 200+ was about, I am going to assume that, outside of Der Anfang for whatever reason you mentioned in the video, you have not played any one map extensively and do not understand why the player being able to camp an entire zombies game from setup to completion is bad for the game. The fact that the player has the option to sit in one corner, only moving to buy trench gun ammo, silver bullets or not moving ever in the case of Ancient Evil with Exalted Gauntlets, is bad for the game as it removes the need for optimization beyond spawning with the Welling on IX for faster 100 times, whilst also making maps less unique due to every map having the same strategy, with the strategy being to either camp with the Hellion or on BOCW's case, camp with ring of fire and any grenade launcher alongside the wonder weapon.
The player should not have the option to camp, and they will always choose it if the option is present, since it can turn a 100 hour game into a 70 hour game, since camping will always be faster if possible.

I understand that this is an opinionated list, so I know certain maps aren't going to fall into certain spots that the overall community would put them. That being said, you have to lack some sort of fundamental understanding of zombies with some of these map placements. Just because something can be found in a map that came before it, doesn't mean that the map that reused it is bad. If that was true, every map after nacht would be by definition, bad. Because every map is just kill zombies, get points to open doors, get guns, kill more zombies, survive as long as possible. You can get all of that from w@w nacht. So there's no reason to play any other map. Everything else unique in each map is technically just a gimmick, a trick to make you think there's something new.

You can’t put DE at 42 because the wonder weapons are “unoriginal” (which they absolutely are not) and also put maps like alpha omega in the top ten. It’s ridiculous contradiction and you’re most likely doing this just to anger people. DE is a top 5 map and there’s absolutely no argument against it.
I can because it's my opinion.
The staffs were the first set of elemental wonder weapons, but they had more functions than just killing.
Their upgraded versions did more melee damage than the bows, they also had a secondary function where they could insta revive a team mate.
As DE takes a lot of elements from mob and origins, I prefer the original idea.
I didn't put anything where I did to "anger peeople" that is a ridiculous assumption. I placed everything where it is because it's my honest opinions about the maps that I love playing.
Which I made a video already, talking more in depth about why I love Alpha Omega so much.
There are arguments against DE, which I don't even think is a bad map, I just personally don't like it.

@power2208 the concept of taking a classic wonder weapon from a previous game, and then giving it elemental upgrades is a new original concept.
But that's just one reason why I like the map, I enjoy it's easter egg and all the features you unlock by doing it.
See it doesn't always matter if a map is a remake or remaster, it's about what they give it that makes it stand out from the original and how they play.

Doesnt like DE because the bows are to similar to origins staffs. Likes the uniqueness of the getting elements from zombies for the krakens in voyage when they are even more of a copy the staffs. 3 of the 4 elements are the exact same.

Zombies in spaceland is the best looking, most re-playable map in zombies history. Idk why but the vibe of spaceland is so good and the boss fight and wonder weapons are absolutely perfect for the vibe of the map. I even enjoy doing the crock Strat for high rounds more than any other high round strategy in zombies history.
++so many unsolved Easter Eggs on Spaceland too. Crazy that y’all still haven’t even figured out the round skip right?
Spaceland is good, don't let my placement fool you. Everything from the middle of this list and on, I think, is great. I really don't hate THAT many maps
As my 2nd favorite map of all time, or might even be my first to be honest, i 100% agree and support this statement. Zombies in Spaceland is the best casual zombies experience in history. Its literally Kino der Toten but actually innovates debuting the IW mechanics which execute with the map perfectly, doesn't get boring past round 30 and offers a basic yet balanced high round requiring players to use skill and not camp, and by god one of the most aesthetically pleasing maps ever. Its an 80's based amusement park, you cant tell me that isn't remotely cool or intriguing. I wont say the EE is one of the best out there but its a prefect challenge with an awesome boss fight that keeps you on your heels all the way through. If we wanna talk about flow, Zombies in Spaceland has a perfect "flow" experience. Im glad im not the only one that sees the greatness of IW's one hit wonder.

HOLY BASED. I desagree with A LOT of this list, but still, the recognition to Bo4 was great. Alpha Omega, Classified, Ancient Evil, and Dead of the Night are easily some of the best maps we have ever gotten, the last being my fav of all time along side Origins. Bo4 maps, especially the Chaos ones, have a level of love and creativity that we havent seen in a long time, not only in cod but in gaming as a hole. A shame Bo2 boomers and Bo3heads will never accept that, probably will even play them.
Alpha Omega is easily one of the best maps we've ever gotten? Are you completely insane? Alpha Omega is a rehash of a map that was already notoriously hated that's only made worse by an unnecessarily large layout, recoloured mark 2s, lame story, and absence of difficulty whatsoever. The only redeeming quality of the map is the dialogue which you're better off just listening to on UA-cam. The map is completely lacking in creativity, its a shameless cashgrab that is recognised as such, I cannot believe you actually hold it in such high regard.

@@CJSantanot denying mob and origins are better but de is not a number 42 map especially with the other questionable maps ranked higher also i noticed you have a thing against the classic maps and a favor towards vanguard ww2 and bo4 so its starting to make sense
@qrow5563 I think there's maybe a misunderstanding, I play all of the games and all of the maps pretty regularly. It may seem like things are low and therfore I dislike them but that's not true, this is just the maps I have the most fun playing.
The only maps I think are awful/refuse to play are exo zombies and Outbreak from Cold War. Besides that, I'm up for anything. I just have preferences towards certain maps over others
To be honest I think the Cold War maps were a nice breath of fresh air. Although they were easy it’s nice to have a chill and laid back zombies experience. The mechanics are great, the wonder weapons are really cool, and the Easter eggs aren’t very stressful so I usually like to speedrun them or just do them when I want a fun and casual experience. I prefer harder Easter eggs like Blood of the Dead but cold wars eggs are always fun to do too. Overall great vid. Its refreshing to see a ranking with unpopular opinions even though my list is very different 👍

This is quite possibly my favorite zombie map ranking on UA-cam because I disagree with pretty much all of it. So many people have some order of Origins, Mob, Der Eisendrache, Shadows, and IX/Ancient Evil/Gorod Krovi in their top five (myself included), that it's refreshing to see someone who just likes different maps for different reasons.
I would rather become Prometheus and have my insides eaten by eagles than play Terra Maledicta

Even though I really disagree with a lot of the picks here(excluding the non-Treyarch maps, I never really went into those), I can say that you definitely put a lot of effort into these maps like EE's, side EE's, etc. Unlike other people who just pick maps and place them from worst to best without actually knowing what's going on.
Apart from the second Easter egg in outbreak, I've completed every single one in all the games.
And just to make sure my opinions were sound and up to date, I went through and played every single map up to round 20 to get all the footage for this video.
Some maps actually went up and down a few points after doing so. It's all about perspective 👍

I don't agree with all of your takes but that's the point, everyone has their own favorite zombies experience, and everyone gets enjoyment in different ways. I respect your tier list and actually agree with a lot of it, especially BO4 I love that game. The amount of hate is undeserved. Coming up with a unique ranking is much more entertaining and insightful than watching 50 of the same rankings that have DE, MOTD, SOE, and Origins in the top 4 spots with Die Rise, Vanguard, and TranZit at the bottom. I actually find it so refreshing that I’ve watched this ranking 5+ times in the background while I do work.

Honestly everyone in these comments are just big idiots, i dont get why everyone feels like they have to have the same opinion and it just feels like they dont want you to express yourself when its clearly your list? No it isn't, this my personal preferences when it comes to zombies and what I enjoy.
Love this video, haven’t played all these maps myself but. Zets is my fav zombie map. I could care less about nostalgia although it does have significance in what zombies is it doesn’t necessarily make it a good map so. Refreshing to see someone expressing their opinion solely on your experience. Not the herds . Embarrassing how many people can get so angry even hateful at your opinion on cod zombies. Keep up the good work!!

This was a solid list, although I disagree on a few of them... overall was a nice list.
I tend to appreciate the underappreciated non-treyarch zombies. Albeit, some of these maps weren't as good, and definitely deserves the hate - I really enjoyed them for what they were offering. They tried to innovate on the core systems, and attempted to tell us a story (AW, WW2, IW). It was fun in my opinion.. but I think it was only fun for the 1st play through. After doing all the EE's on these maps, I don't really see myself going back to the old non-treyarch maps. Maybe... just maybe i'd hop back on them if I'm extremely bored of current modern zombies (MWZ IM TALKING ABOUT YOU LOL)
I wasn't expecting you to put a few vanguard maps so high up there! I never really gave the game a chance, but I will say that vanguard had a lot more atmosphere compared to CW. I'm a sucker for atmosphere and all that (which is probably why I disliked CW so much).

Glad you enjoyed and been enjoying the content. The next video talking about number 1 is something I am very proud of. Also, to be honest, the only maps on this list I outright hate are the exo zombies, dead Ops, and cold war maps. Everything above that I'd probably play if someone asked me to.😅
While I disagree with a lot of this list, it hurts to see so many people being so hostile and rude about your opinions. It sucks that even though we all have something in common, enjoying zombies, we can't be respectful when voicing opinions.

Why dock origins for not having PHD. I don’t see the the purpose for it since explosion and fall damage. It wouldn’t change your gameplay at all
