One thing you could have mentioned a bit more is that Pharah can do super well on certain points of a map and then get classed down pretty hard. For example, Route 66; she has tons of room to fly and do well and then when you get to the last point you will notice she has less room to maneuver around the map making it much easier for enemy hit scans to track you.
This is one of the best guides on UA-cam. I love the tips being so specific to Pharah such as using different routes to go after the enemy team and surprise them. I wish other people would do more guides as specific as these
F1ForFun I have over 70 hours on McCree, but ive been playing alot of pharah recently. Try flying directly above McCree and shoot that pushing blast at him to throw off aim, while also spamming rockets down to where he is walking. Never fly directly infront of McCree to where he moves his aim slightly up at the sky.
Joseph Dember I'm pretty sure he means if you try to use your ultimate on a Zarya without a healer backing you up then she is going to kill you. same with genji he will just reflect your ultimate and kill you.
I find that for me, I don't have trouble against hitstcans, I actually tend to focus them. Since then think they can counter me so easily, they never expect the Pharah to be chasing them. Especially soldiers, since he has so much spread, he's a much easier target to maneuver around.
Good tips for many different heroes, really. I didn't realize you could fly through that top little bit of the little Anubis sideroom, that was cool :)
Yeah a very good well versed Mcree is an incredible pain to go up against with most heroes. When you play a Mcree that 9/10 gets headshots you might as well switch to dva and target him.
After seeing your vid today, i am actually pretty happy - because I came to the same conclusions. Even on using the Pharah ult I am 100% with you - it seems quite better (especially in the 3 tank meta atm), to take out 2 big key targets, then trying to get the whole team, knowing 1 hero will turn and finish you off (mostly soldier or roadhog). Just one thing about peeking and changing postion against hitscans: I found it really usefull to use the same peek position twice or even thrice, before changing, so the witty McCree expects Pharah to use the same peek and then gets a hit from a very different angle (the 45° rule).
also, and that might be a lesser problem in the higher ranks, it's sometimes bad to choose Pharah, when you team isn't able or interested in pushing and keeping the enemy occupied. If your team is only poking and not committing to a fight, hit scans will go for Pharah more likely
BremCrumbs That's honestly all I do. I just lead my shots and nearly half of my hits with Pharah are direct hits against predictable opponents. Everybody seems to have their own movement pattern, it's just a matter of figuring it out.
sometimes there are no hitscans.... so either i move from pharah to one or i deal with the enemy pharah myself, gotta learn those air rockets i guess...
When I'm able to, I try to get splash damage on the enemy pharah when they're near objects, getting a height advantage helps, and landing the air rocket helps a lot if they don't have a pocket mercy
Valkia, I'm very interested to hear your opinion on this. Do you think Pharah's ulti needs some sort of buff? If so, what? I main Pharah, have more than 50 hours playing as her, and I'm currently in mid-plat rank. My opinion: I personally think its a viable ulti, but Blizzard seems to want some ultis to be not just viable, but really powerful. Mei's ultimate was okay even before they buffed her, but they wanted to make her even stronger. Well,I think its fair that Pharah's ult gets the same treatment. Her ult is honestly the hardest ulti to utilize properly in the game. At lower levels and higher levels of play, its common for an enemy to kill Pharah before she finishes "Justice rains from above". You need to take down turrets and snipers before ulting, and watchout for bs hooks and tanks when ulting. The total damage output is good, but its ridiculous to assume that all the rockets will land on targets. If you ult from a distance, they can kill you before your rockets fall, and if you ult too close they can aim at you easier (or hook you, or shield themselves and make you die out of self damage) so you need to be stealthy. I've had rare instances where I solo ult someone and they still manage to kill me because the rockets just randomly fall to their right and left. I wish the rockets had someway of locking onto people you're aiming at (not shooting 360 degree homing rockets, but at least make them fall where the fucking Genji is dancing), or at least increase the density of rockets (even if that means they decrease the damage per rocket). I don't mind being vulnerable while ulting, but I should end up killing with my ulti more times than I die using it. Its unnecessarily hard, and it kind of sad that lower skill cap characters like Reaper and Bastion can get more ulti kills without excessively planning and setting up their ults. I mean, yeah I've gotten around to be able to ult at the right time and place and take out 3-4 players, but waiting for that perfect moment causes me to ult 1-2 times per match while Reapers and Meis ult ~4 times a match. I'm talking about this as objectively as I can. I don't want people to tell me to 'git gud', I can manage with her current ulti but its stupid that other ultis don't require that much planning.
RonaldoApprentice Honestly It doesn't need a change any more than reapers does. a zarya bubble fixes the main problem with her ult : her vulnerability. she pumps out incredible dps when ulting , and any kind of buff will make it too good - like the mei ult , which got buffed and then nerfed again , ending up in the place it is now (which is fine)
Someone in the last video commented about Valkia's videos being a little on the quiet side. Am I (and that guy) the only ones who still think so? Atleast compared to most UA-camrs. Great video tho, thanks =)
I haven't had a full look through all the videos yet, but do you have any examples of which kinds of heroes you switch between when you do find yourself in a situation that Pharah just isn't doing it for you in? I'd love to see some examples where you DO switch out and who you switch to.
Your tips are good, but you shouldn't be so lazy as to just play some random footage along. Instead, show plays that illustrate what you're talking about. This formula (frequent superficial uploads) worked well for other youtubers, such as stylosa or force, and that's why it's tiresome and more of the same.
Hey, Valkia. I've been looking at my stats lately and theres something weird where my accuracy is in the top three percent and kills, K/D, final blows are all better than 75% or more, but my damage and direct hits aren't nearly as high. Any idea why? I'm a PSN player, Ravian. High accuracy and low direct hits seem like they should have a big correlation. If someone has more direct hits then they should be getting splash damage more often too, right?
People with more damage and direct hits will probably spam a lot more than you, which it sounds like you pace your shots more carefully but hit most of Them
I just recently learned to not save your first ulti of the match for a zarya wombo combo, because 9 out of 10 times, you can use the ulti, then build up again to another ulti before zarya has hers
I'd say in gold/diamond that hitscans don't have the accuracy to consistantly take down a good pharah. And like you said also, soldiers and mcree's at this level always think they're hard counters so they will chase you down, and you can very easily use this to your advantage.
is that a wise decission to hunt down enemy's pharah when you main pharah? or just leave her on our team? well, shoot unpredictable to someone who also can move unpredictable fells annoying sometimes
i never get that kind of launch by self concussive blasts. maybe its because of console but damn thats like 4x the distance i getat a faster speed. i'm pretty upset about it now.
The trick is to get real close to a big ol' wall, rocket boost and as soon as you boost, use your concussive blast aiming sorta between the wall and the ground. It's hard to explain, but hopefully you'll get the idea.
any tips for gogfights with other pharahs? at the Moment im just ignoring the enemy pharahs trying to shoot me down...i shoot my rockets down to earth where i can deal damage and not into the air trying to hit a Cloud or a bird. but sometimes ist just annoying when another pharah hunts you down, any advice to take flying Targets out while you fly either?
Ive learned how to avoid dying to hitscans, but how do i get silver/gold damage vs mcree+echo or something like that? sure i can corner peek and avoid LOS but i get bronze or below damage. anytime i try playing agro for a moment in a tank or something thats out of position, i get focus fired by hitscan and i die. I feel like im being useless because im getting 6k total damage because everytime i agro for damage i die.
How to play Pharah vs Hitscans? easy: be in gold, most people playing hitscan dps are too terrible at this game to hit pharah or even know they should be focusing pharah :P
Note if you do this in silver or bronze you will be called a smurf and they will "focus" you constantly (by focus I mean two people with swap to hitscan and will shoot near you)
what about when there's two pharahs, one which is you and one on the other team, should I as pharah focus the other pharah and take time to deal with her or ignore her and focus my fire onto the other people on the enemy team?
I'm a new SUV and i godt here because of your widowmaker videos, but when i looked at your channel i saw that you almisser only make phara videos now, why is that?
hey i have a question: i tried to main pharag but i cant to consistently well with her sometimes im do well and sometimes bad with her what should i do?
First off, you should try to analyze your deaths. Every time you die, ask yourself 'What could I have done better there?' of course, there are many steps to get better, but this is one of the first things you should be doing if you want to get better.
Do this: try to figure out exactly what you're thinking about when you're doing good and how good/bad the enemy is. For me, it's all about focusing on where they can go, their options. And mostly people move predictably.
lol "hunt the pharah" I kill her in 2-3 shots. My job as a mccree main(litteraly watching the video just to know what a smart pharahs tricks are) is to keep you from shooting my team. If you fly away im going to have an eye out for you but im not going to run around corners or run into enemies just for you, your best bet is to catch me by surprise or focus me.
Another McCree main reporting in. This is exactly it. Countering does not always mean to kill , you just have to prevent them from being effective. I am more focused on keeping that pharaoh on the ground or forcing her to shoot way past her effective range. I'm not gonna chase her past my defensive line though because looking up while your in the crossfire is just a death sentence when you have already forced her to retreat already.
Hitscan's bullets don't have any travel time, for example McCree's bullets hit his target instantly (unless he misses the target) and Pharah's rockets have a travel time on them and don't instantly damage the target.
Hitscan means its an instant shot, no travel time (soldier, mcree, widow all have instant shots soon as they pull trhe triger, Torbjorn , hanzo, pharah all have projectiles that take time to travel to te target, Hitscan means its an instant hit soon as you pull the trigger
I enjoy this content, it's very informative. I just have one question. WHY are you using the Thunderbird skins?! Honestly! They look terrible! It's like Zaryas ugly goth skins...
Valkia fair enough, but it's just that Pharah's Egyptian, not Native American, so I feel it doesn't fit her at all. Personally, I use the Possessed skin. If only her head wasn't altered by it...
Reaper is not a counter to Roadhog. Only a shitty roadhog or a roadhog caught with his pants down will die to a reaper in a 1v1. Alt fire can 1 shot a reaper to the head at 9-13m, Alt fire + hook + primary + melee = dead reaper. Source: The pile of dead reapers who forget my hook > their ult.
pharah splash dmg needs a serious nerf xD no other char can hit KINDA close to you and take out 50 % of your hp if not more >< dont even have to hit your target dead on .....
Just shoot them, the knock back from pharah's left click is overpowered as hell. No one can shoot you if they cant even control where they stand :D As long as you can hit your rockets nothing can really counter you except roadhog.
How to play against hitscans? Just, *aherm*, stay pharah way
... I can find my way out

That would be in widows favor though, she can avoid the rockets and get a good shot.
I really need to know the fucking joke or I'm gonna die

I was hoping for some Pharah flying guidage, like how to fly in random patterns to evade enemy fire :) Thanks again!
I'll work on some of these too :)
Klekto good luck, my McCree still well fed by pharahs

"Know when to use your ulti! For example, solo ult a Zarya and die."
if the zarya has a very high charge it is worth it. as zarya's beam pierces, and obliterates once she gets 80+ charge
I think he meant that if the Zarya, or any other 1 or 2 heroes, are being a huge problem, and he can't take them out normally, then he'll use the ult.
Joseph Dember I'm pretty sure he means if you try to use your ultimate on a Zarya without a healer backing you up then she is going to kill you. same with genji he will just reflect your ultimate and kill you.

Brayden Turner thats why pharah at gold/plat is good, they arent as accurate
Yesto even low masters pharah is good, especially if you have someone harassing their dps
true, if you can stay alive as pharah half of your value is in having their hitscan dps pointing their crosshairs away from the rest of the team.
Brayden Turner Calvin who was NA #1 has a pretty good Mcree and has troubles sometimes dealing with a pharah by the name of Fwals
Excellent guide friend, keep'em coming

Wow, definitly learned alot from this. I recently started to play Pharah and shes really fun. Now learning to play better and have fun haha
you don't need to be extremely precise with pharah, you just have to be extremely trained in shooting prediction shots
BremCrumbs That's honestly all I do. I just lead my shots and nearly half of my hits with Pharah are direct hits against predictable opponents. Everybody seems to have their own movement pattern, it's just a matter of figuring it out.
I have 1 immportant question. How do you deal with a GOOD pharah, on the enemy team, as a pharah? just try to shoot her in the air?
discord with zenyatta and hope your hitscan dps is accurate enough.
sometimes there are no hitscans.... so either i move from pharah to one or i deal with the enemy pharah myself, gotta learn those air rockets i guess...

Im arround 3100-3200 but i have bigger trouble with Genjis than good McCrees or Soldiers.
Hello, good genjis its a trouble, but hes dont refletct pharah rockets on the ground, try fire on the ground when genji deflect, its works with me.
Matsu Endo i know that when playing Pharah at the ground is really the best option as your rockets are super slow
I'd say in gold/diamond that hitscans don't have the accuracy to consistantly take down a good pharah. And like you said also, soldiers and mcree's at this level always think they're hard counters so they will chase you down, and you can very easily use this to your advantage.
Don't *peek from the same place twice. A peak is the top of a mountain, peeking is looking around a corner quickly.
What are your video settings at? looks super smooth.
Main Pharah Here 🙌🏼
what rank did you n stylosa start at? no ones posted any videos depicting the curve of ranks so I have no idea where im at hahah
I love you you are the best UA-camr ever
I think you meant "peeking" on rule 1. Got me pretty confused at first xD
Yoz can use a rocket befor you ult. Ult is of gcd
is that a wise decission to hunt down enemy's pharah when you main pharah? or just leave her on our team? well, shoot unpredictable to someone who also can move unpredictable fells annoying sometimes
i never get that kind of launch by self concussive blasts. maybe its because of console but damn thats like 4x the distance i getat a faster speed. i'm pretty upset about it now.
Micah Pheonix have you tested how to get the most speed from the blast? i usually find the most effective shooting at the ground slightly behind me
its possible on console. but you also have to consider that the overall game itself is faster paced on pc due to extra control they have.
Micah Pheonix look down. shoot concussive blast and then rocket boost
badfoody ^ This
The trick is to get real close to a big ol' wall, rocket boost and as soon as you boost, use your concussive blast aiming sorta between the wall and the ground. It's hard to explain, but hopefully you'll get the idea.
Great guides on accuracy ultimate flight pharah is the best

Very good content, thanks!

Usually in GM ranked games, Mercy is always guaranteed and required to help the Pharah
How to play Pharah vs Hitscans? easy: be in gold, most people playing hitscan dps are too terrible at this game to hit pharah or even know they should be focusing pharah :P
Yep, it's very easy to control games with her. And carry if you're good.
The strongest counter of pharah is soldier. People don't need to headshot to kill her
eli li hahahahahahhaha wanna 1v1 me I'll kill soilder Easily.
wanna 1v1 me im good at pharah
Roland Scarecrow fuck no because I suck at all the hit scans .
eli li i actually meant for the guy who called you out
That spread feelsbadman
Good info, but I kept getting distracted by the sick team kills
Please make a video about pharah combos
Like what buttons to press to do something
Note if you do this in silver or bronze you will be called a smurf and they will "focus" you constantly (by focus I mean two people with swap to hitscan and will shoot near you)
what about when there's two pharahs, one which is you and one on the other team, should I as pharah focus the other pharah and take time to deal with her or ignore her and focus my fire onto the other people on the enemy team?
Learn how to shut her down by getting good with air shots. Focus a lot on where they can move. The key is not to waste all of your time with here 1v1
So if we have to switch against a good Mccree, who do you suggest we learn how to play?
D.Va
I'm a new SUV and i godt here because of your widowmaker videos, but when i looked at your channel i saw that you almisser only make phara videos now, why is that?

Do this: try to figure out exactly what you're thinking about when you're doing good and how good/bad the enemy is. For me, it's all about focusing on where they can go, their options. And mostly people move predictably.
very good tips
what's the difference between red and white fuel line?
superdahoho there is none the red one warns you when you have low fuel

Or pharah can jump boost and rocket the fuck out of you
You're a god bro...
So a few days ago, I killed a golden gun McCree four times in a row as pharah. Who's the counter now?
xXMr0LinkXx a few days ago i also saw a plat genji with a golden gun and hes shit
golden shuriken and sword*
is 60% accuracy good as pharah? i can consistently reach this but is that acceptable?
jubba very good
4:27 Stylosa says hi
Good stuff.
真的很喜歡Valkia總是講解的很用心
Am I the only one who doesn’t really interact with the hitscans much I mostly Inter racy with the tanks and the support
What are hitscans?
Hitscan's bullets don't have any travel time, for example McCree's bullets hit his target instantly (unless he misses the target) and Pharah's rockets have a travel time on them and don't instantly damage the target.
Ok thx dudes
What does hit scan mean
Hitscan means its an instant shot, no travel time (soldier, mcree, widow all have instant shots soon as they pull trhe triger, Torbjorn , hanzo, pharah all have projectiles that take time to travel to te target, Hitscan means its an instant hit soon as you pull the trigger
ooooh meeerrr gaahd they have hitscan how you survive
yay new video
I'll solo ult the hell out of mercy too mate. Even if I die instantly it's worth it if she has that hot res incoming
I enjoy this content, it's very informative. I just have one question. WHY are you using the Thunderbird skins?! Honestly! They look terrible! It's like Zaryas ugly goth skins...
+xXMr0LinkXx skins are subjective to a person, like music

As a Pharah, you can't fly widowed getting shot in the head. :v
shoutout to Stylosa in your vid!

one quick trick : say ulti instead of ult
immediate pro-ness
nice
Funny how you did a really shitty 1 person ulti right as you were talking about the right moments to use your ulti
Best phara eu
You forgot to mention pocket mercy. Easiest and most effective method. Pharah and Mercy > Mccree
Reaper is not a counter to Roadhog. Only a shitty roadhog or a roadhog caught with his pants down will die to a reaper in a 1v1. Alt fire can 1 shot a reaper to the head at 9-13m, Alt fire + hook + primary + melee = dead reaper.
Source:
The pile of dead reapers who forget my hook > their ult.

Reaper does counter hog
lol tell that to twoeasy(roadhog) who gets rekt by harryhook(reaper) in MLG Vegas
Rule #7 : if you were at least a decent TF2 Soldier, you will be able to do just fine with Pharah. #rulesnoonecares
pharah splash dmg needs a serious nerf xD no other char can hit KINDA close to you and take out 50 % of your hp if not more ><
dont even have to hit your target dead on .....
Peak.
I play pharah on console and I really wanna 1v1 you

+SuperDuper haha amazing hey man, drop by my stream sometime
Rule #7, Dont call it a fucking "Ulty".
I like to kill Widowmaker first since she's the easiest to kill
I've been playing for a week and every rule is NO SHIT SHERLOCK
+Michael Jackson you would think so, but I had so many requests to make this video
Just shoot them, the knock back from pharah's left click is overpowered as hell. No one can shoot you if they cant even control where they stand :D As long as you can hit your rockets nothing can really counter you except roadhog.
Kury Forlife roadhog is easy to kill. Just get behind and above him. Don’t let him hook you. If he does then send a rocket right at his face.
mei has no counter
IM mercy and pharah main
I drive hit scan ez
Say ult man ulti sounds so childish
need subtitles for foreign people.
Reaper is not a counter to roadhog, come on, taking a reaper against roadhog is suicide
Unless the road hog commits suicide
*peek (can't help it I'm sorry)

Sub* damn autocorrect
Basically this whole video in two words. git gud
pffff too easy. Make a video on how to survive the terrible matchmaking of this game.
