    I been watching videos like this to help me educate myself in building strength at 57 as I get older. I thought I was conditioned enough to jump into the conjugate method maxing out twice a week on upper lower. However after 5 weeks I ended up taxing my CNS so mush I actually lost strength for several weeks I switched to more volume and dynamic working on speed and explosiveness while keeping form, creeping in a little at a time a max day until I can handle two max days a week. Seems to be working so far. This is such a science and thank God for guys like this and their feedback sharing their personal experience which is invaluable

    I find hyper pallatability is more fat and carb ratio which is further combined by low fiber . If the therory presented was correct it was a carb issue maccys or junk food be low fat and high carb and apples would be crack which is conviently forgot by the high fat brigade .

    Matt is so strong, smart, and experienced, but such a sociopath. Mark knows it as well. In every video he some how brings up how much weight he lifted or world records he broke. He talks over people and is obnoxious, unlike Mark, Matt needs to listen more and speak less. We get it Matt, your smart and super strong, let someone else share their thoughts.

    I lost almost 30 pounds eating loads of carbs, i just controlled calories. I still really think if you have that bad a relationship with food, it's your mindset that you need to change, not your macronutrients.
    Deprivation always leads to bingeing in the long run.
    I agree with weighing yourself instead of food, but I would only do that for maintenance and bulking, not dieting, I wouldn't feel as secure that i was eating the right amount otherwise, but each to his own.

    But after an intense workout, you should consume high glycemic carbs right for replenishing your glycogen reserves.. even if you're fat.
    Weight training and cardio or hiit will burn the fat even if you eat a high GI carb like rice after an intense workout

    • @ryanturner8577
      @ryanturner8577 7 років тому +1

      Shubhankar Shrotri Yea, but that's not necessary. On a keto diet, you don't necessarily need carbs. Your body uses ketones created from the process of ketosis vs. using glycogen and glucose. It's more efficient actually.
      It all depends on what your current goal is in both training and nutrition. If you're in a meet prep then yea, glycogen will optimize your performance. If you're in off-season and you're trying to lose some fat and recomp, then a keto based diet is probably more optimal.
      You can do both
