When I was young I heard a crazy story about this song. Gibby Haynes came by the studio to colab and he was so drunk there actually aren’t any lyrics. It’s just him rambling. Anyone else heard this story?
Al's problem was that he couldn't use the takes as they were so he had to splice the tape (which you used back then..) to get it to a song. Apparently he was so drunk he was "singing" on the floor.
Quand je déprime j' écoute Ministry et de suite leur belle énergie me rend heureuse ! Merci pour cette puissance qui m'enchante.Ministry est mon groupe préféré ❤
@@friedricengravy6646 how do you want to make an industrial metal live sound cool without using some of the aspects of the songs under the live performance? You don't really know why people go to see live shows I guess. This genre is not about how good is the performance.it's the feeling and that's all an industrial metal live have to give.
There guitar player said this is one of the hardest songs to play because of the time signature. Tried playing this, I can attest its way harder then it sounds

It’s not Al’s voice. If he wants to have just be up there for the performance and have fun then fine. Also, Ministry uses a second guitarist that you don’t see in this vid. Oh
No one go to industrial metal live shows to see how good is the performance. You go for the feeling. It wouldn't sound half as good if they would try to recreate it without prerecoeded tracks.
Amazingly enough those are samples not tracks. The synth dude at the back is manually triggering all that stuff. Yes they use guitar samples, and yes they use a lot of Al's distorted vocals as samples as vocal distortion is a goddamn feedback nightmare on stage. There is a really cool video where he runs through the samples / loops and how he triggers everything somewhere on UA-cam.

Saw Ministry in House of Blues Orlando, it was during the Filth Pig tour, . This was the first time I had heard them play J.B.M.H.R, weeks earlier in Chicago Aragon theatre they didn't play this song, I had wondered why yes in Orlando but not in Chicago. Then it dawned on me. Aragon theatre in Chicago has terrible acoustics, sounds be bouncing of the walls that even tne sound engineer can't adjust. House of Blues has better acoustics and even so the entire band literally huddled around the drummer, one because the drummer sucked, ( not Bill Rieflen) secondly the band was playing at 5/4 And the drummer had to really concentrate or lose it.
@@leonardocarretero1054 the funny thing (to me at least) is the drums are in 4, but the guitar and bass are in 5. It's all four on the bottom, but yea, it doesn't resolve within four measures. A guy from an Italian opening band for Ministry told some really crazy stuff about Jurgensen. Him throwing stuff in the back of s truck doing monkey noises after lunch in a quiet Italian suburb 😂
I was at the Vegas show of this tour up front and center... this video does no justice to how fucking annoying and uncomfortable those lights were. I was right up front and center slightly to the left..Everyone in the front was blocking their eyes...the band thought it was so funny
White Zombie started while Al was still doing fake British synthpop though White Zombie were more like The Cramps then. Twitch and Soul-Crusher were around the same time and very different still. Make Them Die Slowly in 1988 is more modern Rob when Land of Rape and Honey also came out.

Gibby would!
Sounds legit

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised to find a "live" version on the song.
I have to marvel at the evolution of ministry from synthpop to what ever Al's looking like these days
Awesome
……..singer has turned into ‘Spider Dijon’ from ‘ The Mighty Boosh ‘ tv series !
Synth was dark then and the same themes simply evolved because Ministry had the nuts to put it out there.
They played this in preschool as a lullaby to put us to sleep.......
LoL 😂
I would be in the crowd going absolutely insane
saw ministry back in 2018 or 19 I forget, during Slayer's final campaign tour. the 1st and only time I ever saw them and it was AWESOME
