I put a set of Terrain Grippers on my new Dmax when I bought it in 2018. This is my first 4x4 so I have nothing to compare them to. I bought them with new rims because they were cheap and I liked the tread pattern and the white writing. Im a Tradie and carry some heavy loads and my driving is pretty much 98% on-road (so I can't speak for off-road). I've just done 58000km in 2021 and there's still a bit of tread left. I run them at 40PSI and they are really quiet and comfortable. Any higher pressure than that and my ute gets a bit stiff and bumpy. I'm shopping around for new tyres at the moment, and after a ton of research, I think I will just get another set of Monstas. I've been really happy with them, and the price is great.
Hi there. What about tyre sizes on your Hilux in the video? I have 2021 Hilux and my Monsta Mud Warrior 285/60 R18 with stock weels are touching upper control arms (UCA) on turns and bumps. Will 265/60 R18 tyres fix the problem ? not keen on using spacers.
Also China are capable of making quality tyres also!! Why would anyone think they are not like anywhere there are shit factories and good ones in China it just depends which ones they company chose to use!!
Wouldn't say we clearly saw the performance of them. But maybe you thought you'd show more video when you said that? Still what about a steep hill to show grip and what about mentioning the fact they are not LT compound!!
Good tyres but they are not quiet on road. Matter of fact they are the loudest all terrain tyres I have had. They are not even close to being perfectly round either. Very hard tyre to balance too. I will never buy them again
Don't waste your money on these cheap Chinese tyres, don't be fooled by the designed in Australia because they are still made in China. I had a set and they could not be balanced it was like throwing $800 out the window! the car was shaking and shuttering all over the place. What's worse is the place i bought them from knew the hoops the company would have them jump before they would get an exchange...so they made every excuse including trying to say my rim was buckled in order to not deal with the company. Took my business elsewhere put a set of BF's TKO's A/T on the car problem solved!
Thank you for your honest comment. I've been looking at these and hoping for some honest info. I'll start looking at other more well known brands. Cheers.
Yeah I had a set of 285/50r20 at Monsta they balanced just fine. I don't think you can judge a whole brand of tyre just on the fact you couldn't balance one.. I live in the Vic High Country and they were fine. But wore out through winter on the windy ski field roads to work each day but then again so do all the other brands we have on our work Vehicles. I'd like to try another set for longevity with a more balance use! Oh yeah and you'll hate the BFG 's they are deadly in the wet and noisy as!!
@@cliffgare3390 The tyres ended up being faulty and Monsta didn't want a bar of it. Correct about the bfs in the wet aren't the best but I've got 100,000 klms out of them and that's the pay off I guess. Next ones I'm going to try that my tyre guy recommends highly are the falcons..apparently great in the wet aswell.
🤷what a shit tyre description didn't show us the consumer the pattern I learnt more about a bloody trd Hilux try showing consumer the pattern before you go through mud 🤦🤦🤦 would of been great to have both tyres side by side

I'm thinking of getting Thunderer Ranger ATR but after seeing this Monsta Terrain Gripper .. hmm. 🤔
Hi. Confirming that it’s not noisy on highway travels at 80kph as mentioned earlier and hopefully beyond
cant test shit going through 1 puddle hahaha
Wow some super hard tracks. Real test....
Dude my driveway is more tough than that😂 definitely a bad review

I think it's best to stick with the stock tyre size for your vehicle. Hilux comes stock with 265mm section width, right?
What about 22" will be making soon?

I thought i saw bridgestone tires
What is the size of the tires?

Thread life?
Lol my highway tyres have been throught a tougher test then that.

Sounds like you were not impressed at all

I don't think Ford is willing to team up with monsta tyres if it had that kind of issue
