Poor Emperor was so borked after its fight with Cataclysm they had to remove the back wheels and turn it into 2WD. 4:03 So every time they made contact with Puck, it would remove all their driving ability since the bot was highsided between its forks and what remained of the frame on the rear. Kudos to Puck to keep feeding their wedge straight into Emperors weapon though, might not be that great for the damage category but it certainly won them a bunch of aggression points.
Puck team here. At the last minute, we decided to have our oldest member, who used to do battle bots back in the comedy central days do the driving. The bot was made back in 2011 with no changes since then, guess he fecking never dies, lol
@@cormacmccreary9160 Seeing all these "classic" bots that have been competing at RoboGames for about a decade now is just brilliant to see. Chat was going wild for Hexadecimator and it was really cool to see that these old bots could still hold their ground and win vs (admittedly in this case pretty borked) 4wd verts made with modern materials and techniques. Really entertaining performances from both Puck and Wolverine!
@@cormacmccreary9160 Hey Team Puck! Glad to see ya competing. It's not popular these days to be supporter of 2wd wedges, but I kinda like your robot, and fact that it's still competing and winning fights is super! Please don't stop competing!
@@mateuszprzewoznik6030 Thanks for the words of encouragement! We don't plan on stopping any time soon, in fact, puck now has an ar500 front plate, top/bottom plates, and proper forks this time!
Puck team here, we wanted to do at least a grudge match with Ray Billings at some point, but after the match with king crab, our electronics box was knocked out, so we didn't have the chance to be blown to bits lol.
@@cormacmccreary9160honestly your robot not working Probobly was a good thing considering almost every robot who ever fights tombstone ends up with a thousand or a couple thousand dollars in damage 😭
I hope we get to see more of Emperor in 2024. I love the look of it. It's like a skeletal End Game
I just cant with the one announcer.
Why does one of the anouncers sound like Bernie Sanders?

Puck reminds me of many a robot from 1999
Emperor reminds me of Glitch
Puck team here. Puck has existed in some form or another since around 2000 - 2005. The version you see here is from 2011.

Maybe it’s named after an emperor penguin.
