We had some chairs previously from an online company that were not as good as these. Then we purchased the prior version of these that you all made before releasing these new ones. We love them. Looks like you've added a few good additions like the dimmable LEDs--nice! When we move, we will leave our currents ones and will get these new ones from you all. These are great and the advancements are spot on.
Thanks for the input. We love it when customers enjoy their products. We agree that the improvements are a nice step forward for the industry and chair options.
We bought Valencias 2 years ago and they have been fine. Then we sat in these at Audio Advice live today. Wish they had these when we bought our other ones. The tray table is way better in these. The dimmable LEDs is also a huge improvement. But most importantly, we both felt the Revelations were more comfortable, particularly the headrest and lumbar. Great job on these. We are going to save up and try to get these for each other for Christmas.
We are happy you had a chance to experience the finished version at Audio Advice Live. Thanks so much for sharing what you found. And we hope you had a blast at Audio Advice Live and will return next year!
USB is super important because I game with my chair so need to charge wireless stuff. Being able to turn off the lights is a big deal. It is CRAZY how most chairs don't let you turn them off
I sat in the prototype version of these in Raleigh a few months ago and fell in love with it. They were still tweaking the lumbar and a few other things when I tested it. It was already better than our Valencias (which don't have dimability and have the slick tray table that is basically unusable). They told us to come see the final version at Audio Advice Live this weekend which we are going to do. But we are already sold as they were already our top pick before they finalized it.
To stay on top of the chair game for your next series of chairs add two more buttons for heated and cooled cup holders and wireless charging phone capabilities or just upgrade the ports to usb-c .. but definitely do the heated and cooled cup holders and I promise the theater chair business is yours 🤑
Thanks! We worked really hard on these and spent well over a year just tweaking the details as we kept sitting in them and getting more and more feedback!
Lumbar support is a great addition. I have become so used to it in my desk chair and my car that I want lumbar support in all seats that I'm in for more than an hour.
Definitely an improvement to your previous model, however, a couple things I would have included. 1) A couple preset memory buttons. 2) USB is becoming fairly obsolete. At least should have included a USB C to keep it future proof. 3) Nice you can dim and turn off LED's, but would like to see a separate button for the cup LED's and the Lower LED's. Gives option to turn off lower LED's but keep cup LED's on at low level to be able to see controls. 4) Multi-color LED options. For the price point of these chairs, I am very surprised these features were not included or considered since most other chairs at this level are including these features in their updated models.
Thanks for comment. You make a couple of great points that we took into consideration in our design. When we do user testing and customer feedback, it turns out that memory buttons were something that people thought they wanted but rarely ever got used. For ergonomic purposes we utilized those same button spots to add the lumber. Adding more buttons beyond that became confusing for testers. So that led to the greatest performance. Because we added dim capability on the LEDs, we believe the design is such that 99% can use the dimming to get the LEDs to the right level. However, as you pointed out (and we should have said in the video) we actually did include a connector/switch at the bottom where you can disconnect the button LEDs and use all the functionality just for the cupholders. Thanks.
Great chair and appreciate the thought that went into getting rid of gimmicks. Any reason why you don’t use red LEDs? Red light doesn’t ruin your ‘night vision’ once your eyes have adapted to the dark.
We previously had some Valencias which worked fine for some time. However, the controls inside the chair just did not work for us, as we were constantly fumbling. When I saw that these had launched with controls in the cupholder and with the better tray table, we upgraded to these. These have been great for us. Agreed that the fabric feels good and is also easy to clean. Nice job with these chairs.
I have a set of Valencia chairs and love them, but my biggest gripe is I cannot turn the LEDs off of the buttons and the USB ports are inside the chair, so if we are playing games and need to charge a controller, it could get snagged as someone sits or stands. These remind me of those chairs, but I like the button placement and ports on top, well thought out, great job! When we move, I will need new chairs, might need to check these out more. Now, if you could change the LED colors, that would be nice, maybe version 2 ;)
Thanks for the comment. You are correct that both of these issues, the LEDs issue and the controls/USB port inside the chair is an issue with so many chair out there. This is what led us to this solution. When you move, reach out!
@@AudioAdvice I definitely will be, I have ideas and will be working with your team to assist in creating my new theater room, can't wait! Also, as I read a comment below, it would be nice to have a USB C or one of each, I know most people will have it in a theater setting, but I will have it in a home theater and gaming room setting, so to quickly be able to charge up controllers if they die mid game or something would be very nice. Lastly, I also saw someone mention the LEDs would be nice if they can be turned off separately, I also second that, I'd love to have cup holders on and not the bottom...sometimes. But maybe you can add a toggle within the same button, as you press on, dim, off, have it go 1 press is both on, 2 presses is only cup holder, 3 is only bottom, 4 is off. Something like that. Lastly a memory preset would be nice, I had it on my old chairs, and I miss it on the new ones I currently have. It's nice to go right back to my sweet spot. I'd love to be a tester for future iterations ;)
I’ve gotten thee chance to demo these chairs at the Charlotte location and was impressed at their fit, finish and comfort. I loved the balance of firmness to plush. The fake leather feels great and quite convincing and I would venture to say, I prefer it over many leather variants I’ve tried. I do however miss the memory function the predecessor had. I absolutely prefer these button/usb locations versus those on the Tuscany also. I did have one major complaint. I could not get the lumbar feature to fully deflate and I could feel what seemed to me was a ´bar´ in that area when deflated.
Thank you for pointing this out. The ones you tried were the prototypes where we were getting feedback on the lumbar, the fabric and a couple of others adjustments. You should go back and sit in the ones that actually went into production. The vegan leather is now very similar to what Tesla uses in its cars and the lumbar we think is best in class (and included feedback from everyone who sat in them in Raleigh and Charlotte and like you were in that group). Thanks for taking the time!
@@AudioAdviceso i was able to RE DEMO these chairs today at the event and can report that I LOVE THEM. The one concern ninjas with the lumbar support comfort has been fully fixed and it now works like a dream. If anyone is on the fence between these or Tuscany (which I own) , I have no reservations with recommending these above Tuscany for MY OWN TASTES. There are just a few nuanced features that out it over the top for me.
Maybe a nitpick, but a completely separate switch for the bottom LEDs would be great, so you can turn off the bottom lights and keep the cupholder on.I do appreciate the tray table for food, but would love a flatter table to work on. Which leads me to accessories. Do you offer other options like a tablet or laptop holder, reading light or wine glass holder? If not, will accessories from other companies fit this chair?
Great point. We should have pointed out that we do have this capability. There is a connector just under the footrest that you can disconnect to turn off the bottom LEDs and use just the cupholder LEDs the way you point out. Because we put in dimmability we think 99% of people will never use this, but it is there for those who want to. Thanks for pointing this out!
@AudioAdvice The love seat seems to be the perfect option for me and the wife for movie nights. Although i would really like a center armrest for long gaming sessions by myself. Is this possible? Can the center armrest portion be made to come on and off? Maybe a flip up center option should be in the works 😁

I'm curious ... do you have any plans for a wine holder/caddy or will another companys fit in that small hole? I am interested in these chairs but my GF is pushing me to get a chair with a dedicated wine holder.
We do not at the moment. The pivoting tray does work really well as it has a rubber top that prevents things from sliding. You should also be able to put most wine glasses into the cup holder

Is there a chair you recommend with an open back of head for hearing the rear surrounds? That's my biggest issue with my current setup is that since the chair goes very high on my head it makes it harder to hear my rears.
These work pretty well in that type of situation, almost all home theater seating has a higher back. You would have to look at a conventional chair with no recline or neck support to have a totally open area around your ears.
What I don’t see is, to my surprise, the position that I suspect most people would actually like to use: I want to sit upright with my feet up. Yet chair manufacturers insist that if the foot rest is up, you’re also reclining the back. Ugh. Why? I don’t want a bed. I want to kick my feet up while I watch a movie. And I sit upright facing the screen. So bizarre that EVERY motorized chair gets this wrong.
Confused why the LEDs don't have RGB w/ bluetooth control at a minimum. The cost can't be that much more. The ultimate chair would have those features + at least google assistant ability, if not more like Hue.
Thanks for commenting. This is an interesting point. When we did our product development on it, we analyzed three different things. The first was to ask people what they thought would be cool in a theater chair. We got lots of cool input including things like RGB, heat, bluetooth, massage. Then we go back and analyze what people actually use who have the chairs. It turns out to be a much clearer subset that the vast majority wanted the same critical comfort and practical features that we ended up including. The bells and whistles all start to fall out when you analyze it that way. Then we did actual prototype testing. As an example, we tested massage and heat in the chair. It turns out that while those sound great, they are really loud and don't provide the experience that a real massage chair does. So they turn out to be more gimmicky and not what people actually wanted in the end. Anyways, these are all great points you make. Ultimately we followed the data and our own experiences to map out what we thought would be ideal for this product.
This chair was designed to maximize the range of heights it can comfortable support compared to other chairs. This chair should be fine compared to other chairs for shorter people and kids. We had a very tall person, 6'7" over 300 lbs test the chair. It was a better fit than other chairs he had tried unless they were design specifically for very tall people. His assessment was that when he is in the sitting position that his knees are a high like they would be in most chairs. However, in the reclined position, his legs picked up and the headrest was able to support him. So he was pleasantly surprised. That said, if the chairs are just for super tall people, say 6'4" or more, then we would suggest considering chairs designed for taller people. If the chairs will be used by people of different heights, then this would be a great option.
