I bought a pack of these zippers, then couldn't find this video. I accidentally come across the video today and glad I found it. Jenny you are my hero 💗💗💗.
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed my Christmas Box. I am 83 years old and I felt like a child every morning in anticipation of the day’s surprise. I use the cup every day for my cold water and it works great. The clock hangs on the sewing room wall, in front of my machine, next to a window. I think that this is my favorite item, but, I like it all. Thank you.
I love making these. I put pockets on, I appliqué, I quilt, bead, you name it. I make the lining fabric a couple of inches longer than the main fabric, then when I turn it there’s a cute little inset of contrast fabric where the zipper goes. I saw that method somewhere, I do wish I could remember so I could give them credit. Thanks for all the great videos, Jenny. I learn so much from you, both as a beginner quilter and now that I’m more experienced.
I think you girls need to teach Keenan something.... he would be so fun to have on camera. His comments really crack me up! Love this pouch pattern! So cute and easy!!
I started watching this tutorial before I opened my #1 bag, so I stopped watching until I opened the present. Excellent start on the box❣️. I have lots of fabric I can use in my stash, so I will be making this soon. Thank you Jenny and Misty.
Keenan is a keeper. Chaos? That's a perfect description of my jewelry making space. I try to keep the quilting fabrics and projects organized against the cats' needs for comfy spots.
When I opened gift 1 I noticed right away they are decorative zippers and I love them! Thank you so much for the tutorial, always enjoy learning something new from Jenny.....and I too am a messy creator with piles around me, I call it my organized chaos!
Hi from the UK. Was so excited at breakfast this morning to open the first thing in my very own first grown up advent calendar. can't wait for tomorrow.
Jenny, I just made my first pouch this afternoon!! I had ordered the zippers after seeing this tutorial! I am amazed at how EASY the pouch was to make. I made two pouches within one hour!! And I am a beginner sewer. Only started quilting about 1.5 years ago!! Will be making more of these for gifts for sure! Thank you for the tutorials! You have helped me so much!!
Today is the 1st !! I had to sit and look at my box for over a week wanting to open it sooooo bad ! Cute cute zippers, Jenny. I see a "hard to shop for" gift for one of my DILs fill with lip gloss and body spray.. I also create in chaos - its the only way. Jenny you're the sister in my head. Can't wait until tomorrow!
I love how easy you make this! I'm traveling overseas this summer with my sister, and wanting something easy to have on our long flights, I bought inexpensive daypacks and added a lining with a great side pocket on one side, and a pen/pencil holder on the other, and they will be our bag to keep by our feet. I also made a small zippered pouch with a wrist strap (to hang on hooks or knobs) to take to the lavatory. Washable, of course! Thanks for your great tutorials!
Love having Keenan doing your videos, I am a LMA so you need to keep him busy, maybe someone will PAY him!!!!!! LOL Great job love the zippers they are co darn cute.
I would have NEVER purchased a zipper in my almost 7mos of mask making & quilting. When I saw Day1, I thought "what?" But with this great tutorial... I'm going to try making a zipper bag. Thank You Jenny, Misty, MSQC... and especially Josh. 🤩
I love this pouch! It's even easier & faster than your previous zippered pouch tutorial. I can't wait to make two with my new zippers from the Christmas box. Thank you.
I made these for my daughters bridal party-with matching tissue holders and masks! (She got married on November 7), and I added hand sanitizer in each bag. at the top of the pouch i added a 3 inch accent fabric and embroidered the initial in the center. super cute!!
These new zippers are adorable. I did pouches similar to this with embroidered names on them for Christmas gifts this year. Wish I had the cute zippers when I was making them.
When installing a regular zipper, I found a real easy way to maneuver your zipper pull around your presser foot. When you get to where you need to move your zipper pull out of the way, (while you're sewing) needle down, presser foot up, then take your seam ripper and stick the pointy end into the hole on the zipper pull , turn your fabric around a few times until you can push your zipper pull down the other side of the zipper that you just sewed. Easy peasy and a lot easier than trying to get your finger's n there to pull the zipper out the other side..
Zipper pouches are one of my favorite projects, and those zippers are so cute! I love this project and I'll have to give it a go. Thank you as always for such great project tutorials.
I'm another "creator in chaos" too! I missed out on the Christmas box, so I'll have to order some of these cute zippers. I have used Jenny's tutorial from several years ago to make COUNTLESS zipper pouches for gifts. People can always use zipper pouches! I love this new method!
I love this pouch! While I love to see the sewing studio, I hope that your people are safe and healthy. Also hoping that next year there are more advent boxes available, this looks great!
Yeah, I was wondering as the pouch is so cute and want to make it for a Christmas gift for an adult granddaughter. The one I just opened is foe me as a special remembrance from Missouri Quilt Company. Hugs to all!
@@heleneikerenkotter2950 how do you think it would work if you wanted to do French seams if you put little tabs on the end of the zipper or would it still be too bulky? I have this in my head and I may have to try it.

There were TWO zippers? I had to go back and look! What a fun project! Thank you! I am looking forward to making TWO of these!!!!
Made one this morning! It is perfect for my grandnephew’s girlfriend and added a gift card, pocket tissue holder and a pretty lip balm.
Great Job Misty & Jenny!.....Another small gift to make for those that you want to give something but don't want to spend a lot of time or money!
Jenny your sewing machine sounds like a Freight Train!! LOL
Always love your tutorials with Misty💕

I believe Timberland Gnomies si the fabric line. The whole line is so so cute!

I Love the Gnome Fabric!!
I Love present #1😍😍😍
Ordered more zippers & the gnome fabric...
I made cute little bags and put hand sanitizing wipes in them for my sister-in-laws, for Christmas. So I gave the gift of health this year 😉
Love these zippers! The bags are super fast too!

This is a fabulous little bag. You are right it could be used for so many things. Thanks for sharing and the video was so cute too.
I loved unboxing day one! Can't wait for day two! I already made my two bags! LOL!
Love these!! I was thinking Jenny could also add a lil loop on them to hang up and put lil gifts cards in. Can't wait to get some to make.
Or even little D rings and a strap.
I want to make a bunch! You got my creative juices flowing, thanks!
Love, Love, Love the Day 1 Gift. Thank you!
I think I would make a zipper bag for a baby quilt or the self binding receiving blankets! How fun!
I have a BabyLock Crescendo, too! Love, love, love mine!!
I love this pouch! While I love to see the sewing studio, I hope that your people are safe and healthy. Also hoping that next year there are more advent boxes available, this looks great!
Thank you! I have a bunch of those kind of cute zippers & never figured out how to use them. I just whipped up 2 pouches for my mom in no time!
Thank you for the fun project.
I’m a messy creator too. When I’m done for the day I make myself clean up so I can start a new mess the next day. 😀
I am messy too. But like you after I am done for the day I clean up my room. Start clean the next day.
Love the bags. My Great Granddaughter is learning to sew with me that would be so easy for her.
What a wonderful idea. Everyone needs a bag!
Thank you for sharing!
Enjoyed watching! 🧵✂️💖
This so cool. I'm not a zipper person either but I can do this.

That looks so cute! And easy? Noooo it can’t be! Beautiful!
I love this, hope you have lots of zippers in stock
Yeah, I was wondering as the pouch is so cute and want to make it for a Christmas gift for an adult granddaughter. The one I just opened is foe me as a special remembrance from Missouri Quilt Company. Hugs to all!
Can’t wait, I think they are really cute! I’m loving my first day with my Jenny box!! Waiting is HARD!!!!!😂😂😂
Love the comments from the “peanut gallery”!
Lovely pouch, I suggest french seams for the sides to avoid raw edges inside, thank you ladies!
Tried the French seams, hard to do with the zipper, too bulky.
@@bonniehill1416 good point!I should have think about it ...adjustements for the zipper will be necessary and the pouch should no more be so easy....
Be better to sew a narrow binding on the inside or a serge seam . Not possible to do a French seam .
@@heleneikerenkotter2950 how do you think it would work if you wanted to do French seams if you put little tabs on the end of the zipper or would it still be too bulky? I have this in my head and I may have to try it.
Love all your tutorials💕💕💕
Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Was so excited to open my Jenny box tonight! The video was a nice bonus! Such a cute pouch! 🎄
These zippers are game hangers. Can’t wait to make pouches for twin granddaughters for their birthday next month.💕💕💕
These sipers are a great idea. I bet they would be great for through pillows. Thank you for this great ides. B
