Do you think Laenor will come back? Rhaenyra asks Rhaena to write to someone in Pentos so her boys can go there for safety. Maybe Laenor gets involved? Maybe he'll ride Seasmoke again.
Great review. I agree with most everything 1) I’m a little higher on this episode than most. I enjoyed going to all the different places and moving along all the story arcs 2) Daemon/Ser Simon Strong subtle comic relief is genius. It reminds me of Arya/The Hound and Tyrion/Bronn. 3) “High Heart” was mentioned! And finally, 4) Viserys tells Daemon in season one “you were always mother’s favorite”. Weird after this episode. 5) PS “flesh out” or “flush out” Ser Jimmy ‘you be you’. Whatever you want to say is fine with me.
Alys entirely vanished from the screen at one point when Simon Strong walks in and she goes to leaves the room, she walks behind him towards the door but vanishes before actually going out the door.
Emma D’Arcy mention Visenya as the first to wield Dark Sister. It’s unlikely that she was the first to wield Dark Sister. Like Blackfyre, both were forged before the Doom at least 85 years earlier. Someone must have wielded it before her. Mayhaps Daenys the dreamer!?
The plot line I'm most curious about is Oedaemon's (wanted his mummy a bit more than Aegon this episode). I really wonder what it's building to, maybe a visit from Vizzy T?
I feel the complete opposite; I much prefer episodes chock full of political machinations and subtext-filled trysts to ones that devote a third of the run time to a big battle.
Ser Matt. Are you outside your mind? Of course people would listen to Corlys if he was King Consort. Did you forget last episode when the black council was questioning Princess Rhaenys then Corlys walked in and they all backed down to him.

48:11 It was Dyana, she's already appeared this season in episode 3.
The table in the Frey scene is weird because it's not a table but one half of a gate, laying on stone blocks.
Yup! And very symbolic, like “you’re outside the gate, we’re inside.”

That Frey Table was a door

12:48 - now I want a “flush out” every episode! 😂

31:30 She kinda wanna marry him a little bit. She puts an a good show for him, at least
Found this episode pretty tedious, the daemon subplot is a bit of a mess imo. Every rhaenyra council scene is tedious.
