Don't worry, SFV brings out the salt in even the kindest of people 😂 These videos are really great, it's awesome seeing someone go through the exact stuff I did when starting keep it up!
People who say "go to your local" live in northern or southern california, tokyo, or new york. There are arcades where I live, but there is no real "community" around it, just whatever randos show up. The closest arcade to me doesn't even have a SFV cabinet, nuff said. Also would love to watch a stream but that's like 6-3am to us heathen Americans. I think everyone has that "wont quit on a losing streak" problem to some degree. I used to really be bad about it, as I got older I stopped caring and learning to walk away when I realized I wasn't having fun right then.
The local arcade in HK has turned into a bunch of fishing machine or horse racing simulator. Sometimes I might find old FG cabinet like KOF 98. But that’s a bit rare. I thought I was old enough to get out of that “won’t quit” mindset. But turns out I am still there. Must be fighting game magic.
Hey, you're not alone with the sleeping thing. I'm learning to paint and when I have an unfinished painting or an idea for something I want to try, I go over it in my head for hours instead of falling asleep. Then I wake up, try it and it sucks, so all that mental energy was wasted for nothing. Gotta learn to disconnect.
This thing happened every time when I am writing/editing or literally anything. Even before I finished with anything. I would scrap 60 to 80% of stuff and I guess try to “make it bettter”. On one hand, I would be really proud of the end result. Because it is what I wanted it to be. But it would take a lot more time to even get to that point. It is only on UA-cam, I have such luxury. At least, all the things that I do I can easily test it out and drop it if it doesn’t fit. Can’t imagine what it was like when it comes to painting.
Great video, very true. Was playing Tekken last night and this guy just kept ki charging (taunting). I was playing fine and that just threw me off completely, felt so salty lol
you're not alone. i binge on games too. i think the secret is a healthy schedule and having other positive healthy things to do. fighting games can be unhealthy.
I'm in the intermediate stages of fighting games, been playing semi seriously on and off for 3 or so years I understand the games well enough to have a response for most every situation in a few matchups, and can find solutions to problems when presented most of the time. The problem is I have fun until I start to suspect the opponent is learning what my tendencies are, and at that point I just kind of get overloaded. like, I could change what I'm doing, but what if they do the thing that beats that What if I'm playing right into their trap? What if it's just a fluke and they actually aren't adapting? Once I start having those thoughts there's no going back. My decision-making gets impaired because now I'm worrying about all the above plus playing the game. (I'm pretty sure it's the random shit Sol PTSD from XRD and +R) It's really annoying because there's nothing I can do against it, there is no "right" option, no matter how much thought I give it, I can't predict my opponent's actions, and apparently I can't manage my own either. Just my thoughts. Fighting games still rule.
I read it all and it looks like you are overthinking too much. You just described how I play card games back then. For fighting games. I wouldn’t know how it feels. because I simply not good enough to know all the option like you did. I just stay doing what I know. Do it slightly different if they caught on. Keep reacting. And never plan ahead. Not sure if it is helpful. But hope you can get out of that state if mind
Great vid and so true. ASBR is a FG that suffers probably the most out of any fighting game rn unfortunately. Plagued by no rollback and incredibly annoying projectile interactions, but I love everything else as a Jojo fan. It's a shame that such issues still prevail in FG's nowadays.
Melty Blood is pure pain, you just get molly whopped by everyone Street Fighter V is kinda dead, even I, in Europe take a lot of tme to find someone. And when I do ? 3 bar ken ready to shoryuken. Nice video AND COME TO THE STREAM PEOPLE !
I've been experiencing getting bodied in mbtl too recently xd. But it's more of because it's my first fighting game and I only started 2 weeks ago. It's been really fun, I hope someday I'll be the one bodying people
That reminds me of when i got into MBAACC, it was like my first fighting game and omg i got destroyed for hours but it taught me how to block. Now im slightly better so i can actually play a bit. Its fun regardless though, great game!
one thing i hate thats also kinda a red flag when looking for someone in ggst is if they immediately press ready but leave because you’re waiting on the connection status. odds are they’re a wifi warrior trying to get in a game asap.
@@thatDoubleT yeah i mean people that TRY to get on a game before the connection status is shown. i was the same way as you and dealt with the same problems of dealing with bad connections with people that do use wifi.

For some reason most of the salt came from Ken and Luke.

Oh yeah, ASBR looks really cool. But no rollback is a sure fire way to kill a fighting games
W VID
Ain’t no way bro just said strive’s playerbase is much larger than a STREET FIGHTER game lmao
It won’t be when SF6 came out
To be fair, SFV is quickly going out the window as people are preparing for SF6.
Thank god
Love how like 2 things in the thumbnail were mentioned, but the rest were just clickbait
Then you would LOVE my new thumbnail

I have to say I don’t quite understand MBTL still. Somehow it is so easy, but still so many things to learn.
That reminds me of when i got into MBAACC, it was like my first fighting game and omg i got destroyed for hours but it taught me how to block. Now im slightly better so i can actually play a bit. Its fun regardless though, great game!
If you struggle to find games I recommend joining a discord.
I did found one in SEA but for GGST, might use that to find a Pot main to play against
Smash isn’t a fighting game
