Jak 3 Cutscenes: Find My Son...

- I've been browsing youtube for Jak and Daxter Cutscenes, and I couldn't find any in "great" quality, or as solo scenes. So over the course of the next 5 - 6 days I'll be uploading all of Jak 3's cutscenes, commentary scenes, bonus movies, and any other feature in the game worth recording.
For the normal cutscenes I'll be splitting it up by acts - Today, 12/619/09 is all of act 3!
Since these scenes are not meant for AMV or any other purpose, I will not be providing a download link and I have put subtitles on, because I know I enjoy them. If I get enough requests, I will do them without subtitles.
I will also eventually be doing the rest of the J&D games, next on the list being The Lost Frontier, with Jak II next, Daxter after that, and then Jak X. I will also be uploading any other bonus videos and features I've got in those games as well, but I know for a fact I don't have all the bonus videos and such in Daxter, while I do have all the cutscenes. I will upload any bonus scenes from it when I get them.
I will also be doing Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, but that is the last one to be uploaded, seeing as there's no cutscene player, and it would be a pain to play through the game just to record those, especially since I'm not always sure on when there will be a cutscene.

I never finished playing this game, but watching this scene really bothers me. The fact that Veger would let Damas die without letting him know his son was right before him...and then rubbing it in Jak's face...what a douche.

Oh man the feels are coming back...
Funny thing is I rented Jak 3 first, so I had no idea what was going on in this scene (with the amulet and the kid) but I still got emotional though, I had a funny feeling Damas would've being his Dad. Then I got Jak 1 which my mother brought me in sympathy when I got the chicken pox as a teen, finished Jak 1 in the whole time away from high school, then finally got Jak 2 and understood the whole story even though I went back to front playing this trilogy.
Yeah, it was pretty good allusion.
Biggest fuckin' plot twist. Finding out that Jak is the legendary warrior that had been name dropped previously in the series and that Damas is his dad all in one moment.

Dimple they kind of have a Mordecai and Rigby (Regular Show) duo thing going on. Daxter being Rigby always getting in trouble and making fun of Jak, and Jak being the somewhat more capable and responsible one.

You know what they say, bravery isn’t the absence of fear but the facing of it. Those two look out for each other.
Jak's uttering of "Father" was really sad, because it was revealed that Jak was the kid in Jak 2, and they were complete strangers, but after some time and Jak proving himself in Spargus, he and Damas developed a sort of mentor/student bond. I think the allusion to Damas was really beginning when Damas called out Jak for his recklessness, and Jak said he didn't know his father. And this was the end, Damas dying, and neither he nor Jak knowing who they were. You really feel for Jak here, because he lost someone he grew close to, and after Veger's taunting revelation and further torturing of Jak's psyche was when you really wanted to kill the bastard.

Actually I think the best part is that this scene puts Daxter in a better light: he knows how dangerous those catacombs can be, but he's like "Screw it, get in there" for Jak's sake.
5 years too late to be commenting this but it REALLY shows since when you look at the end of Jak 1 Dax still had his goofy moment of wondering whether he should convince Jak to spare Gaul or stay an Otsel, even in the most pinnacle moments for the series he tended to be scared and try to wuss out, this, was not that time.

So is Jak the Mar? Cuz I've always wondered that. It doesn't make sense considering the fact that Mar is technically a person who lived in the past, but yet we've also seen that the precursors are capable of time travel.... jesus, this makes my head spin to think about.
Jak was most likely named after his ancestor, not the actual Mar who built Haven City.
Jak is Mar Jr, his grandfather is the original Mar.
@@kaizoisevil I don't think it's his grandfather. More like a distant ancestor. Although a Jak 4 could have Jak travelling back in time to build the foundation for Haven City.

I have no idea why this is getting recommended to me but it is one of my favorite moments from my second favorite Jak game (2 is my favorite)
Daxter looked like he was about to end Vegar's life with his own hands. The absolute fucking audacity of this fucking lunatic killing your best friend in the whole world's father who he had been separated from since Kor and the Metal Heads tried to destroy all of existence.
Jak finally gets a chance to bond with his father and seconds after he accepts the call he ends up dying in an explosion only for Vegar to laugh at your misery as he calls you a "dirty dark eco freak."
And despite all that Vegar got off easy way easier then Krew did who you fucking left to die because he chose Money and Eco over human life.
I played this trilogy at its peak so epic not even new Vegas amount to this

If there's on thing 3 was missing, it was a Vegar boss fight. This guy is the most despicable jak villain and one of the main villains of 3. He DESERVED a boss for being such a great villain, but was tossed aside in favor of Errol. If the jak series ever gets a remake, PLEASE give us a Vegar boss fight so we can punch him in the face. It wouldnt even be that hard, just extend the cutscene where Jak loses control and Dark Jak tackles vegar, and a qte commences to have dark jak repeatedly punch Vegar, then Dark Jak throws vegar into his hover pod, and vegar gets in and flees for his dear life into the catacombs, where we pick back up with daxter going AFTER HIM, JAK
He propably gets eaten by Kleiver, so i am okay with his end, lol.

Axel Kasai Damas didn't know that Jak grew up in the past so he thought his son was still a kid. I guess Veger knew about the time travelling and that Jak was much older than he should have been.

In hindsight how did no one make this connection before. Jak (the Kid) was the heir to the city and Damas was the former King. I understand not getting it as a child but I feel playing this game as an adult it should click instantly.
But we didn’t find out that Damas was the former ruler of Haven City until a few missions before this.

This franchise really fell off the second they decided to have Jak open his, Shadow the Hedgehog edge lord wannabe, mouth. And giving him guns made it even worse. I adore the first game.
I have a weakness to overly-complicated plots. As in: I can't not laugh at them.
So I vividly remember cackling like a maniac for a good two minutes, after this cutscene played.
To this day, I still find it to be complete nonsense for random, unnecessary drama.
It always pissed me off how Damas never got to know Jak was his son :(
