Hogan owes his career to the Superstar
Even took the "brother" along with him.
Graham's a pretty humble guy. Good for him.
Superstar Graham was a template for Scott Steiner, Hogan, and Jesse Ventura, along with other guys I probably don't remember at the moment.
Steiner bit hard. Like really hard. But he had the look.
As long as Hulk Hogan credits Billy Graham for paving the way for Hogan and is open to how much he took from Graham, then all is cool with me.
Superstar Billy Graham was very good back then, and those were the days when wrestling was a lot better than today.
I never knew Hogan was inspired from Billy Graham. It makes a lot of sense now I think about it.
Humble dude that's why he's one of the greatest
It’s obvious you go out of your way to help these guys sell their merchandise to do whatever you can for them, and it’s commendable, sir. I go back to watch videos of yours every so often to remember watching these guys as a child (I watched the old wrestle mania vhs tales from the video store when they still existed), and it just hit me how much you go out of your way to advertise for them and do what you can with the large audience you’ve built. I hope you find it brings you similar success. Your content is always honest and you seem to spend more time helping others than in self promotion, so it’s great to see your brand expand the way it has over the years
I think Superstar is a real stand up man. Any less of a man would would be upset that Hogan took his look but Superstar take it as a compliment as well he should. Superstar was instrumental in paving the road for Hulk Hogan and what a road it was. Loved watch both these guys in their time. I know Superstar has some medical issues but both look incredible.
hes a gentleman Mr. Graham is.
Hogan's obviously the most famous example, but Superstar Billy Graham has influenced quite a number of wrestlers. Jesse Ventura, Scott Steiner, and to some degree even Triple H are other examples.
I’ve always seen a lot of Superstar’s influence on Randy Savage, as well
it's like the hulkster did to superstar what david lee roth did to jim dandy.
Graham's (ex)wife is the first person to dye Flair's hair blonde
I don't know if Hulk ever gave Billy credit. I know Jesse always gave him a ton of credit. They had a relationship from the beginning of Jesse career.
I grew up with Hulk Hogan rising to the top
It wasn't until years later I saw a picture of Superstar Billy Graham and I realized, Hulk totally ripped that guy of
That hawk/eagle painting on the table is beautiful !
That beard is a legend in it's self!!!
Hannibal, love the content dude!
aside from his build Hulks biggest strength was his ability to play to the crowd. He was never the best skill wise or anything but he drew big and made a lot of money for a lot of guys he worked with. Everyone knew he pretty much stole his gimmick from SBG but there is almost nobody else that could have done SBG justice like Hulk and Hulk knows that without Superstar there is no Hulk.
Ventura was Hogans equal, he was the heel SBG gimmick of the 80's.
@@dallaslockrey2492 wrong Ventura was nowhere near Hogan talent
You should watch some of Hogans matches in Japan, you will be shocked how good he really was
@@kainthetrollreaver9270 yes yes yes
So many wrestlers took a ton off superstar. Flair admits it. So does Hogan. Jesse the Body, Macho and countless others.
I always wanted to see hulk Hogan and superstar vs Jesse Ventura and Randy savage
+WecanWinJesse It would have been a great fantasy match.
True original.
Vince Sr could’ve had Hulkimania ten years early had he not made Billy lose the strap to Backlund
Yes
@@TheHannibalTV Vince jr wanted wrestlers who clean cut gimmicks to be face of the company
Hulk Hogan was a cool guy back then.
Everyone wanted to be SUPERSTAR...
I think back before i was born it was a dream match hogan vs graham until graham had to retire
I would imagine those issues or at least some of em that Superstar made mention of had to do with that steroid scandal in the WWE from back in the day. Just a guess is all. I had a front row seat to see the Superstar wrestle back in the day. He even talked to us fans. Turns out, he was a pretty good feller. Just a great time to be a fan back then.
Awesome guy
SBG is just an all around class guy.
Except in the ring. In real life, you bet. Just like DDP.
Hulkster, learned a leg drop.. awesome finishing move
This was the man that gave birth to hulk Hogan I remember I use to say hulk Hogan had a father it was ,Mr tiger shark ,as a kid it now I know it was superstar Billy Graham!
Exactly Hogan kept the superstar going. No two like em
The second question according to Billy in another interview was that Hulk wanted a better understanding on steroid cycles and how to do them properly, which is nothing against either of them, it was a time when they were all doing it so it was at least fair I guess but I'm just throwing it out there because he said Hulk asked him two questions and the second one didn't come up in this clip.
A TRUE LEGEND/ PIONEER BILLY GRAHAM REST IN PEACE 🙏🏽
there will never be another billy superstar graham. that man is a legend way before hogan stole his character.
Hogan didn't steal shit Hogan made himself
@@richardtaylor5461 But he did, Hogan and Ventura have said on multiple occasions that they copied a lot from Billy.
@@tylergaye5457 Never heard Hogan, but Jesse said it in two of his books.
"Imitation is the greatest form of flattery."
I disagree.
But good artists copy, great artists steal.
Hogan ripped off Billy Graham's style FACT
Did Graham give a shit no he actually took it as a complement
@@richardtaylor5461 If I want to hear about Python's or watch a shirt get ripped off or see a fu Manchu it's the Superstar!
You sound like you’re 12
@@jamesmichalek5406 Didn't Hogan have the fu man chu before Superstar? I think Superstar copied Hogan's Stach. Hogan has always had the stash .
@@magilla2282 If Hogan had it as a sixteen year old when Superstar started wrestling.
Superstar Billy Graham should get for paid for them copywriting him.
🙏 RIP
I wonder what happened in the past between Hogan and Graham.
WHAT A STORY !!!
The man still owns the sellout record at madison square 19 out of 20 hogan never came close to that says a lot about how popular Billy was great icon and very nice guy love the Superstar
R.i.P. SBG
Another example of Hogan becoming famous without doing anything on his own.
Wrong Hogan became famous because of his talent skills and charisma
Wrong Hogan became famous for his skills talent and charisma i
This sounds like Kobe and Jordan type of situation...…..so would this mean that Billy Graham is the real GOAT???? LoL
If it wasn't for Superstar there would never be a Hulk Hogan, He took so much from that guy.
Wrong Hogan would've still been Hogan
You would think Billy Graham was Hogan's dad. They are very much alike.
Joel Xero they are the same age dummy
RIP
The super star can take the Hulk Hogan
20 years too soon...
saw billy wrestle before hulk, so first time I saw hulk, i tought, this is a superstar clone.
I loved Billy Graham and liked Hogan also popular yes but they could not wrestle greatest of all time Bruno samartino
My question is Was Billy Graham ever any good in JAPAN!?
If the cure for hep C comes out this guy should be the first to get it.
There is a cure for Hep C, now.
Interesting how quickly Billy has been able to "patch things up" with so many people.....that he now needs some cash.
That's what he gets for treating the jobbers to dinner after matches
Nothing in wrestling is original everyone has copied something off of someone
I wish that guy would shut up and let Billy talk.
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
He Stole your moves and gimmick
Yep
Sad hogan stole marvels name , gimmick , and stole grahams all persona look and everything he never gave him credit and a dime for it graham was the real hogan
Actually, Marvel gave Hogan permission to use the name "Hulk" as a part of his gimmick otherwise they would have sued the hell Hogan and Vince Sr.
..dude hulk hogan gave billy graham credit plenty of times.
Actually he got the designation Hulk after an interview. Lou Farrigno and he were interviewed together. Turns out Hogan was a tad bigger. The nickname stuck after that.
He didn't even come up with the name, Vince McMahon Sr told him he was going to be named Hulk Hogan to appeal to the Irish crowd
Nope Hogan didn't steal shit Hogan made wwe boy Hogan is goat Graham just said so moron
Billy Graham is the only person allowed to have that stupid simplistic gimmick? get real.
***** My point was only Billy can have that gimmick? its not that unique...
