If the car is manual and not automatic, do I have to connect the reverse detection line of the screen to the reverse light?

No need to connect the detection line , and just go to factory settings choose choose “ gear section “ ( gear type 2, or type 3.

When you order the front camera as well , we will offer the Y cable as a standard part . That way , buyer can install the camera in easy way . But we don’t like to sell the camera or Y cable as an individual order, must order together with android screen.
