Puscifer- “the humbling river” is a must.
Definitely!
The Humbling River and Grand Canyon send me to another universe every time i listen to them.
I like Grand Canyon better
2nd Humbling River and Grand Canyon.
@@worldismyashtray I lived in AZ when this album came out, it was surreal.
I just saw Tool play in New Orleans a couple of days ago, and one of the extremely few times Maynard spoke during the performance, he asked everyone in the audience who was 30 years old or younger to raise their hands. He then stated "This next song was written before you were sperm".
Everything Maynard touches is gold.

Nobody commented on my favorite part, where he says he's being condescending, then explains what condescending means.
Perfectly clever
I laughed for days every time I listened to this song at that part. So funny.
😂
It really drives home the condescending tone
Was just about to make a post about this. Love that captain obvious stuff. They didn't catch it though.
Puscifer really shows Maynards sense of humour. It’s great.
A different side of his humor. There's plenty of humor in Tool (especially live).
PUSCIFER- HORIZONS
That's one of the most beautiful and touching songs that I've ever heard.
Rade Ilić totally agree!
Rade Ilić part of the Judith thread. 👍🏻
@@jarrodderr Yes
Absolutely!!!
Rade: Love that song too. The whole album is amazing. All if their albums are fantastic actually. Butt ;) have you heard a perfect circle? Best way to describe maynard projects is : Tool is the mind, a perfect circle is the heart, and puscifer is the genitals:) if you haven't heard APC and you like horizons , check out disillusioned or 3 libras .
Maynard and Carina’s vocals go together like PB and Jelly...absolutely love them.
the addition of Carina took Puscifer to a whole new level
Yup^^^
@@jilted 2 years later your statement has only solidified - in all honesty I don't think Puscifer really would've gone anywhere if it weren't for Carina Round.
This comment is old, but to add, just like PB and J, it's a combo that is unexpected for people who are not familiar with the combo. My reaction to their voices together was the same reaction my friend from Nigeria had when I introduced her to a PB and J sandwich. It was doubtful upon hearing the combo existed, then a pleasant surprise upon testing it, and now a staple and absolute perfect fit and combo associated with a perfect match.
Yum jelly sandwiches with peanut butter on them 👍
Puscifer was a made up band name for a skit Maynard appeared in on the comedy show "Mr. Show" in the early 90s. Maynard was friends with some of the comedians on the show, and had two appearances on the show, as well as cameo and song support for the soundtrack on the movie "Run Ronnie Run", which was based on one of the skits from Mr. Show.
"Conditions of my parole" by Puscifer is a must guys. Trust me 🤘
With the music video!
But what if she's a zombie or a dracula?

👊🏽✊🏽🤟🏽
The humbling river is A MASTERPIECE
These are the songs I was gonna say also. Especially conditions of my parole!
All pure gold
All of the above !
Rev:22
Ok let's be clear:
*Tool:* Progressive
*A Perfect Circle:* Alternative
*Puscifer:* Experimental
Experimental is progressive as long as It is complex, baroque and full of formal music resources (harmonic disonance, odd tme signatures, etc.)
Tool: Mind
A Perfect Circle: Heart
Puscifer: Penis
No
ELITE
BAD ASS
SUPER COOL AND HILARIOUS
Tool: Art
APC: Soap box
Pucifer: Fun
This entire Album is perfect. I reccomend The Arsonist. It's one of my top favorites. Can't wait for Puscifer #2021
If you like the arsonist, check out Carina Round's song Set Fire.... I consider it the prequel to the Arsonist because of the lyrical similarities.
More Puscifer
Potions (Deliverance Mix)
Rev 22:20
The Mission (M if for Milla Mix)
Humbling River
Telling Ghosts
Tiny Monsters
Man Overboard
The Rapture (Fear is a mind killer mix)
Agostina
Smoke and Mirrors
Eric Fenske The Weaver!
Queen B

Potions is a Trent Reznor song, doesn’t really showcase Puscifer’s style very well.
Momma Sed is awesome too
Dear Brother
Renegade BS Yeah Potions is the Tapeworm project. Great track but very reminiscent of Fragile era Trent even without him being involved in the Puscifer recording.
Excellent reaction. You two have come a long way in just a couple of years..
A Perfect Circle - *THE NOOSE*
i was addicted to this song when i first heard it
Me too! And just got on a repeat session again lol
I got this song in my Spotify recommended last week and it's been on repeat ever since. Really digging the 'lighter' side of prog lately and this fits that vibe perfectly.
Finding out it's Maynard on the vocals blew my mind!
Puscifer is by far the most varied of Maynard's projects. As a heads up, not every song under this project is going to be something you'll like on the first listen. For example, I hated Grand Canyon until I'd listened to it a bunch of times. It's still not my favorite, but it definitely has grown on me.
My recommendations for future reactions are:
The Humbling River
Autumn
Polar Bear
The Mission (M is for Milla version, which actually has Milla Jovovich singing in it.)
Rev 22:20
Conditions of My Parole
Momma Sed is one you guy's should check out.
To add to that, the best version is the Alive at the Nokia version from the C is for (Sophmoric yadda yadda).
+1 for Momma Sed!
Live version
Definitely. Studio version, the live version is a bit too simplistic.
This!
That reaction was so great. When Maynard started to "get raw" as u put it. Was the highlight of the video. You guys should react to Puscifer's "Rev. 22:20" You won't be disappointed.
That's one of my favs, I don't regret liking it!
I love that song 🤘🤘
@@zayshabazz3326 "I dont regret liking it" is one of the weirdest statements ever
Love this song, it was my gateway to Puscifer. It has a tool feel for sure.
As long as it's the original mix I'm down with them doing it
Ahh, Puscifer! Dark, minor, emotional, melodic, funny, twisted. Nice to see you guys do them. There are a lot of good songs by them.
It's got this subdued sense of power. Really fits with the lyrics.
5 AM, laying in bed, 'The Remedy' by Puscifer playing on my bluetooth speaker, feeling that bass throughout the entire bed, I legit said to myself in my head, "Damn, wish Ryan and George would react to this." just knowing y'all would love the lyrics especially as the song progresses, I open UA-cam on my phone to look up some boxing matches and I see this as the first video on my homepage. Damn, my dudes always with the great surprises. \m/
That bass is perfection
@@sentientcardboarddumpster7900 YES! Don't even get me started on the bass in A Perfect Circle's 'The Package'. Goddamn!
Ok so now Google's ad targeting, (spy) software is so advanced, they can read minds...Edit: You actually said it out loud? That would cancel telepathy but G n R got the message to do it...so now targeted ading and youtubers/reactors are cooperating!
@@sentientcardboarddumpster7900 Paul Barker FTW!
Maynard is a national treasure
Lol Maynard choked out a person on stage and performed at the same time.
He didn't choke him all the way out. Hip toss, back mount, and collar (cable) choked him. But the guy was facedown on the floor, awake, still rocking out with Maynard on his back. Pretty funny.
You dont know how long....HOW 👏 LONG 👏 I have waited for this one!!!!!!
Dear Brother is another good one.
The controversy between the band's name and the quality of the music is shocking. Like Maynard would've want to come out as a under dog. Puscifer is brilliant, I've been listened them a lot.
A lot of people who likes tool do not like puscifer because in some tracks this band is actually way more experimental than tool, which is funny to think about.
The humbling river please
Just quickly fellas, it's 'Stick around if you're house broken' (like a pet that knows where to pee) not 'Stick around if your house is broken'.
Fun fact: Potions(Puscifer) & Passive(APC) were both worked on with Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails
Maynard does Brazilian Ju jujitsu and is a bad ass at it. Yall see the video of him suplex the fan on stage and still sing in the concert. It was a while ago but definitely hes a bad ass.
The video of Maynard throwing his hooks in and a rear naked choke while still singing 👏👏
jarrett bass hip-toss/hip-throw
Hip toss, take down and keeps singing without missing a beat. Also throws in a few body blows while on the ground.
That was epic for real never missed a beat... TOOL is ELITE on another level of music
ua-cam.com/video/LKrUaY6hgpM/v-deo.html
Been to a Tool concert with them playing NWA's Straight Outta Compton, like almost the entire album, over the stadium speakers before the show started. It was glorious. Then....Tool. LIVE. Hype AF.
BrisketBack I thought you were going to say they covered “Straight outta Compton” which would be dizzy dope.
I went to a puscifer show and before the show they played Take on Me half a step out of pitch on repeat... was funnier every time
They played Dancing Queen by ABBA after the show on Wednesday in Nashville.
I've been subscribed and watching you guys for long time now, but always did it through my apple TV box with no keyboard or a place to comment or see comments. Finally got on here. Music is my life, mainly rock music, but always said these reaction channels were ridiculous. Then I watched one of your videos, then another, then another, kinda went down the rabbit hole. I went in judging when I shouldn't, thinking you guys wouldn't understand the kind of music I was into and wouldn't give it a chance. Then I would listen to your reactions and they would bring me right back to hearing that tune or band for the first time and the memories would come flooding back. I'm 43 now, so it's like being with a couple buds back in the day getting together and listening to tunes and having some laughs together. It's been much needed and appreciated more than I can explain here. Anyway, thanks and keep being real and kicking so much ass!!
Puscifer’s “humbling river” or “potions” are a must listen
Tool - Eulogy
The other singer in puscifer is Carina Round, and she has a phenomenal voice! She has a whole load of her own music, check it out 😊
"Come to You" is a personal favourite of mine, it would be awesome if you could do a reaction video to that ❤️
Milla Jovovich sings on one of the other albums.
And their current bass player, Paul Barker, has had quite the career of his own.
Carina makes this band, shes amazing.
I don’t know who I like better Carina and Maynard, or Steven Wilson and Ninet Tayeb (listen to Pariah as an example if you’re unfamiliar)
mrsleep0000 I had to look it up because I thought Matt McJunkins was still their bass player. Paul Barker is listed as a current member probably playing on there most recent tour. Matt Mcjunkins played bass on this album though.
Thank you guys so much for doing this song. ❤️ I love the channel and what you guys do and it's awesome to see some of my favorite songs being reacted to ❤️
Watching your guys laughing and enjoying this song warms my heart!! Thanks for putting out great content and being open to all types of music!
The outtakes were great, hope you show those more often, had me laughing my ass off. This band always surprises me, they have such a wide range of sounds and approaches to their releases. Interesting insights you had here, thanks.
As someone who 9/10 would rather cheesy outakes be removed there outakes have made me genuinely smile.
You should do the humbling river by puscifer
Duuuuude thank you so much this is one of those songs I always go back to no matter how many times I've heard it!! Love you guys! Keep grinding!!!
Thank you so much for choosing this song!! This is one of my favorite Maynard songs of all his bands. Love your takes and the amazing content you guys deliver!!
I like how the whole song has a very calm and smooth vibe, while saying they will knock you out. Like "man, I need to teach you a lesson.... I'm not nervous, it's just something we have to do to kids so they learn how to behave".
This is the first song I've ever heard from that band, though I'm a Tool fan. I'm going to check out their other songs.
Vinícius Albuquerque Exactly! It exudes confidence by being so calm about it
The same happened to me and I got a really nice surprise while listening to the rest of this album and some older ones!
PUCIFER - THE HUMBLING RIVER PLEASE GOD
That, Conditions of My Parole (with the music video), or Momma Sed.
yesyesyes
This is one of those songs that will stick in your head for awhile. I also feel like you can't really take it all in on the 1st listen and you really start to appreciate it after a couple listens.
I love their voices together. Carina has an incredible voice. So does Maynard. He has multiple voices 😂 .. .I swear it's mind blowing the talent & diversity and creativity packed into one person. I mean, it's the rest of the band too, but he is just beyond.
The Rapture, Conditions of My Parole, Monsoons, Horizons, Oceans. There are just so many to choose from.
Don’t expect a TOOL vibe from them at all. Completely different band but they are amazing in their own way.
I already replied this to someone else BUTT, tool is the mind, a perfect circle is the heart, and puscifer is the genitals :) if you love one you will probably love the others.

So glad you guys have found Puscifer!!! Great review. I love watching you guys become fans of a new to you song/group. It brings me back to those moments of discovery in my own life.
I love the fact that you guys really got it from the moment you read the lyrics.
I would sort of diverge from my fellow Puscifer fans and recommend *Potions "Deliverance Mix"* and *Momma Sed (Vis4V Mix)* by *Puscifer* .
Armin the Millennial King Potions is a personal favorite.
Potions 😍
Yeah! You made it to puscifer. Several great songs to get to. Momma sed. Undertaker. Humbling river. Conditions of my parole. All the songs sound so different. ❤️😎
I was so excited to see you guys react to this song! Happy you enjoyed it :)
There are a ton of people in UA-cam that do reactions but this by far my favorite channel because there are actual intelligent thoughts and critiques as opposed to "Yeah, I liked that or no, thats not my style." Great job, fellas.
I love how every tool/perfect circle/Puscifer is playlist for you guys. Love seeing you guys hearing a new song from Maynard and appreciating it. Makes me relive the songs
You guts absolutely should have ur own radio show...get paid, u deserve it. ❤❤❤
Almost a million subs...they're getting paid.
Thank you guys, your reactions are always a welcome sight
I love your channel and also your unbiased and analytical reviews of great music out there that's not "popular" amongst the public
Excellent song choice! Agostina is the only song of Puscifer’s that tops this one in my opinion.
Edit: Conditions of my Parole is right up there with both of these songs.
The humbling river is a beautiful song!

You guys are doing great things for humanity. Reaching across cultures musically is what we all should be doing. Music contains our collective reality and provides a place for us all to understand the very heartbeat of ourselves. Yes! Thanks for this one, can’t wait to see you guys do some more PUSCIFER reactions, I have a feeling you guys are really gonna dig this shit!
The lyrics of this one crack me up, especially when you consider how much of a troll Maynard is himself. Try Humbling River for a seriously great song with a message and the video for Conditions of my Parole for Maynard antics in an air stream.
Yes! Conditions of my Parole is a hilarious music video, and another very fine song by Puscifer.
True. Maynurd does have a rather fragile ego and has no problem trolling people who hurt his feelings. But as immature as that may be. It can make for great artistry. Humbling River is an AMAZING song.
Yes! I’ve been waiting for you guys to branch out into more of Maynard’s stuff. Older Puscifer is also great. Give that a listen to as well! Also, please react to Coheed and Cambria!
You're one of the last reaction pages that I pay attention to. You guys are special. I don't always agree, but I always admire any input you guys have towards any artist. It keeps me open minded towards things that I wouldn't even expect. Keep it up fellers!

PUSCIFER "Momma Sed" - is a good one.
You definitely have to hear something from the first Puscifer album. It's really unique even within Puscifer's discography, a lot of Maynard singing in a really deep voice. I'd recommend Queen B or DoZo.

You guys are just a pleasure to watch, Thank you, you're doing such an awwesome job. I get such a kick out of your vids. I am glad you reacted to Puscifer cause it is something special, the only hard part here, is that their sound range is so vast.
