I’m going to hazard a guess and say the reason you couldn’t use the flamethrower in the poison gas areas is either: 1) The oxygen in those areas has mostly been converted into whatever the gas is, leaving nearly none to react and produce a fire. Or 2) The gas is highly flammable and Isaac realises this, so he’s not willing to blow up himself alongside a good section of the ship.
The reason the flamethrower can’t be used in the gas area is because it literally just uses the space mechanic while disabling zero gravity, so suffocating is the exact same. Also if you actually die in the gas are by letting the timer run, it treats it like you died in space, so you just start floating away
Wait, really? As far as I remembered, you lose oxygen slower in those areas than in zero-atmosphere areas. I may be remembering that wrong though. But I always thought that it used oxygen reserves a bit, plus a bit of filtering.

I was just doing an Impossible difficulty NG+ run and I decided since I've never used the flamethrower, I'd do a plasma cutter+flame thrower only run. Let's just say that it took a ridiculous amount of ammo even with a maxed out flamethrower to kill even basic, early-game enemies even when torching their limbs. Eventually if I ran out of plasma cutter ammo I'd resort to stasis + melee which was significantly faster.

You give a joke about open Sesame and then cut to the next scene. Why? Wouldn't it be more interesting to show/explain how you've escaped that situation?
I think you should check out "can you beat dark souls 2 with only miracles?". The dude has a faster (and more interesting) pace. He also tells about certain mechanics and tricks, so that a larger audience (not familiar with the game) are kept entertained.
Ahh classic horror with a hint of lemon
You're like a more tame mitten squad lol
I miss Paul
@@Freebo63 dude go check out his channel. You're in for a pleasant surprise.
Awesome challenge run, would love to know what the music was in the suiting up scene
Regrets picking medium, with everyone knowing impossible would have caused an aneurysm.
