Hi everyone, just to be clear you CANNOT eat tomato plant leaves as someone had suggested to me in a previous comment.
Right. They are loaded with poison, no kidding.
You are from Where?
Ah, la culture culinaire Anglaise...
Yes, tomato plants are edible, but some parts are more edible than others:
Leaves
Young tomato leaves are edible and have a strong herbal aroma and delicious flavor. They can be prepared like other garden greens, such as kale or cabbage, or used in sauces and herbal tea. They are also rich in phytonutrients. However, tomato leaves contain the alkaloids tomatine and solanine, which are toxic. According to Toxic Plants of North America, an adult human would need to eat at least a pound of tomato leaves to experience harmful effects.
So moderation in all things.
My God, I would have to sleep all afternoon if I had that delicious lunch.
Perfect Day in France!! Lovely LadyBirds!
Thanks Janet 🥰

I love your house !
I read somewhere where it said to place slices of orange rind around your veges to stop the slugs. ive tried it and so far it seems to be working
Good tip Kay, ty 🥰
You guys made me hungry.
It all looked delicious.
I just subscribed today .
Billy said you had a channel, so I checked it out.
I would love to visit ,France.
I live in Texas USA
The ladies prevail with nice finds whilst Sean is skunked at the markets. Appreciate the enamel process for the bowls. The consolation dinner looked delicious and worthy of a nap.
Hi Glenn l slept for days after that dinner 😋
Thanks Glenn🥰
Great finds today, useful items too. The dinner looked delicious. Sean, I've had great luck sprinkling paprika around my veges and plants to keep the pests away. Of course, I had to sprinkle it fairly often. It worked for us and we didn't notice any harmful effects to the plants or us. Good luck, your greenhouse veges and herbs look wonderful.
👍
Thanks Jacqui 🥰 great tip we will give it a try 🙂
Lovely garden 🇬🇧🌵🇺🇸
😊👍
Lovely video!
Thanks JP 🥰
Food looks delicious
Thanks Gail 🥰
That was quite a meal.😊❤️
😋👍
Thanks Marilyn 🥰
OMG that’s a lot of food 🙂😋
We have big appetites here Joanne lol 😍🤣
Hi Sean! If you put a small saucer (pie pan) out in your green house with some beer in it the slugs will go to it instead of your plants!
There's never no beer left 😉👍
oh my need know more about what you was you putting gravey on? rolls ? they were pretty
Why you don't go to Petriks ?.. Hello from Perpignan
I eat the leaves and they taste mild. They taste a bit earthy and are great in pesto
Hi, Sean!
I just looked up when you mentioned it about eating tomatoes green leafs, and it says that you can eat them just don't over do it. As a matter of fact it gave recipe for making a twist on ' Pesto ' with the leafs and also another one to make it like spinach. 😋 So I don't know why the conflict . I'm still going to try it I'll let you know. Cheers!
Please don't eat them just incase you get ill, l don't want that to happen no one is that hungry 😕
@@Seans_World
Okay, okay ! 👍 I won't. But, now I'll have that feeling of missing out. 😕
Living your best life Sean ? ❤️🇬🇧
Oh the garden and the magnificent food!!! 🍽️ I'm full now lol I would definitely need to walk a sunset stroll afterwards.🤗
Thanks for watching Diana 🥰
Yum, the food looks great, what is a yorkshire? From US, Tn so don't know what it is. Lol Need to research it I guess. Enjoyed the video.
It's made from milk, water, flour and eggs like a popover in America 😋👍
You should try them they are lovely, not a Sunday roast without them
I am a new subscriber, thank you for this lovely stroll of your day in the countryside!
At lunch, what are those rolls that are in the shape of a small 'cup', and what is that syrupy stuff you are pouring into them?
Welcome 😆
Loved you roast dinner
how did you cook the spuds were they done in duck fat or dripping
Normally duck fat, but that time we used grape seed oil
Has the last of old skool Londoner’s all relocated in France or what?! 🤣
Green rhubarb.. do you have red varieties there as well?. I far prefer the reds over the green for all desserts.
What is your recipe for stewed rhubarb? I would love to make it.
Yes! Absolutely don’t eat the leaves! Nightshade family leaves are toxic!
what UK accent does he have? What a nice place btw.
Did you know that we call Yorkshire pudding popovers?
Interesting 😊
Hi Susan, no l didn't know that, ty for sharing 🥰
I give you 10 years maximum in France and then you will return to home; I have watches so many family going back to the UK and its a pity but 10 years seems to be cut off moment
I've been here 16 yrs
Hi Sean what kind of fat did Sam use to roast the spuds??, that meal looked scrumptious
Grape seed oil, but we use duck fat for the best roasts
@@Seans_World thanks Sean
🌟👍🍀💐
👍😉

👍😉
What did you roast your potatoes with? An oil or an animal fat?
Grape seed oil, but normally duck fat if we have it
Do you not work at the pethricks any more x
No l have too much at home to do
you can't eat the leaves only the tomatoes
No you can't eat the leaves you are correct
