DJI Wireless Mic 2 @ NAB - Handy and Powerful!

After using this mic system heavily for several days and over 20 recordings, I found it to be very capable and delivered everything I needed - though I woudl like the menu system to be a bit more consistent and the buttons can get you tripped up if you're not careful.

I wish DJI would provide an option for replacement/additional magnets. Had to buy after market and they aren't very good.

Using the previous generation of DJI mics and rhey are really good.
Did you just stuff the dead cats in the box or is there specific space for them. Mine are in the supplied bag and I fear that just make it easier to lose them.

There's a few little spaces that I tucked them into and the friction of the bag, and the small pocket I felt would hold them inside.

Nice video would have loved mic test with bluetooth vs using receiver in a phone. I think the bluetooth wouldnt be as good.

Could be - there are bluetooth mics. It comes down to the fact that the DJI mic is built for production as opposed to bluetooth headsets being built for phone calls. Because we have bluetooth headphones and they can sound wonderful, so the bluetooth protocol can, itself, carry good audio.

@@StreamTeknology What bluetooth headphone do you like for recording ? I havent found one that sounds good. I test a lot of mics and "stuff" so i would love to know. I havent seen a good bluetooth wireless lav mic. I do think it is the next thing most will move to, as ease of use for mobile content creators is important. Not having to plug a receiver into the bottom of a phone is gonna be a feature many will gravitate to if the sound is good. I recently had the DJI 2 lav mic and tested it with bluetooth, and while it was good, it wasnt as good for me as a lav mic with a receiver. But if you know of a really good bluetooth lav mic pleas let me know. Thanks!

@@oldmangamerlive Part of the problem is that phones are designed to use wireless mics for one thing - phone audio.
By using a receiver to receive good audio and then pass it along to the phone as an audio connection bypasses the phone's intentional design.
You can bluetooth a Rode mic directly to a mixer, Sounds great. But you'll need a receiver to get around the phone's intentional design NOT as a production tool.
It's not a mic problem.
It's a cell phone problem.
