In honor of Batman Day 2023 (and yes, I know I am a day behind, but I had technical difficulties), today I'm taking a deep dive into the new Batman Ultimate Movie Collection 6 Pack, including Michael Keaton as he appeared in Batman 1989, Val Kilmer from Batman Forever, George Clooney from Batman & Robin, Christian Bale from the Dark Knight, Ben Affleck from the DCEU, and Robert Pattinson from The Batman.

You're the first reviewer to show that the Pattinson Batman has a smaller head and much better jawline compared to the first release. Might actually consider getting that figure alone now in a break set

Thanks! Those group articulations shots are always a challenge (they fall over a lot and create dominoes lol) but the end result is worth it

Is it just me, Bale's Batman seems to look better than the original version? His arms can sit naturally instead of hanging uncomfortably like in the original version.

That shot you've included of all the Batmen showing their elbow articulation was incredible, as if they're all preparing to do the Batusi together.
Really odd that they didn't mold Keaton's head as one piece and give him a neck joint, ala Three Jokers Bats.

This kinda makes me want the Patterson Batman more than anything. He looks excellent and the headsculpt looks cooler. But not as excited as I am for that Batman and Robin wave.

When it comes to batman 89, you could try using a paint remover to remove the yellow paint of the bat symbol outer ring as it seems to be a black plastic underneath the yellow paint.

I like the paint app in the Keaton/Batmobile set, even though it's not the screen accurate yellow, but gold instead.
Still, it's great. I'm wondering if they'll split the difference on that for a single release.
More than anything, I'm hoping that if we don't get a collection of the batsuits from The Flash, that we at least get an accurate Batman Returns body.
With '89 standing next to my Flash Keaton, it feels like there's this missing void between them that can only be filled by the Batman Returns sculpt I've been hoping for since '92.

great review, for some reason even with that price increase in newer releases McFarlane Toys is still customer friendly and the reuse of molds is mostly reasonable

Just got my set and I’m happy with it! I like the cloth capes and general feel of the figures. Plus the Kilmer Batman takes me back to watching Batman forever on VHS at our first house (first Batman I ever saw).
However my Bale Batman does feel a bit too loose for my liking…but I’ll get over it.
And I do wish the Afleck Batman was the BvS one.
One of the best releases of McFarlane toys this year.
Clooney and Kilmer were surprisingly good, probably the best figures of this 6-pack
Ben Affleck's Batman heasculpt is an improvement over the Justice League/The Flash figures we got, glad he went for the eyes instead of the weird Night Owl goggles
Bale and Pattinson are allright
Batman 1989 is the weakest figure of the 6-pack, maybe the Neca bootleg head would make a better fit?
Overall, I think this is a great 6-pack, you get enough bang for your buck, specially if you're like me, who never got the previous Batman figures.
I love it! Ranking all the Batmans from this year will be quite the challenge

I need this set in my life man. I'm a huge fan of all these figures, but as a ranking, worst to best I'd probably put Keaton, Affleck, Clooney, Bale, Kilmer, and in first would be Pattinson. Such an improvement off of his single carted version.

The Batmobile Two Pack Bat symbol is Gold.. I need the 6 pack to make it more spot on.

That Keaton head looks so much better with the thicker neck of The Flash Batman body. I had the same idea then saw your video.

I actually tried the rebirth ball peg with The Flash version of Batman so he can fit into the Batmobile without the ears being scuffed… it’s a brilliant peg to use!

About these McFarlane Batman figures....what can I say.
I am not a fan of McFarlane DC line 👎
I am not a fan of the ,,new" McFarlane at all👎👎👎
I have a decent collection of the old McFarlane production 2001 - 2008 and when I look some of my Spawn figures like Creech, The Overtkill, Series 26 - The Black Knight or Spawn the Bloodaxe from Spawn Series 22 .... I am still speechless !!!
So much:
1. attention to the details,
2. hidden joints,
3. the paint job = better than this doesn't exist
4. The body work - simply flawless
5. I don't know what kind of material McFarlane used in those years, but it doesn't look lkke a plastic at all.
It looks premium.
6. Head sculpts created with unbelievable perfection.
And all of this in a mass production for around 18 - 35€ !
And now I am seeing these new McFarlane figures and I am scratching my head and thinking:
Am I the only one who is seeing:
1. Crazy ugly exposed joints.
2. Totally unfinished body work
3. Ridiculously faces and head sculpts
4. Accessories completely out of proportions.
5. The cheapest plastic material possible
6. Paint job in many cases = natural disaster
So WTF happened with you Todd, what ???
But the people no matter what are crazy about these McFarlane's figures.
How is that possible, I don't know.
In my country we like to say:

I really wanted fists for my Batfleck so I used the ones from his stunt double from the flash. Yes his peg is larger but after I heated it up it fit nicely and now he’s ready to punch Superman in his perfect face

I have some news, I'm still waiting for my great grandmother to order keaton batman, but I found the gold label 89 batman without the batmobile for $26 and still in its plastic bag in mint condition. I'm very happy.

Does the Keaton Bats from this pack have that greenish tint to it? Mine does but only if your shining a light right on it. I heard a lot of people saw this as well.

6. Cloney (who basically has no paint, for I can see).
Aside from the face, no paint on Clooney. But then again his costume was solid blue/grey/black in the movie so not a lot of opportunities for paint deco on him.
I really hope the 89 Keaton and this new upgraded Pattinson get single releases.
They're the only ones I want.
And I hope they retain the cloth cape.
I hate the rubberized capes.
It depends for me. I love the cloth cape on Bale because his cape was a solid black fabric. Keaton's cape in the movie was fabric covered in latex to make it look leathery, so the cloth cape looks eh to me, but it more functional than the plastic. So I am torn
@@5POAFigureReviews i generally just don't like the static rubbery plastic in one pose. I prefer cloth on Bales since his was fabric in the movie, so it matches. I prefer leathery cloth goods for Affleck Keaton and Pattinson to match the movie cape
I think they can do a Jack Nicholson Joker figure if it's based solely off the Batman 89 comic and not directly from the movie, I'm also kind of hoping we get Tim Burton / 89 Batman figures in retro 6-inch scale figures like McFarlane is doing with the Adam West Batman TV show and comic book figures, we can probably get Keaton's Batman and even Nicholson's Joker, Danny DeVito's Penguin, Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman, and maybe we can even get the comic book characters like Billy Dee Williams Two-Face, Robin and 89 Harley Quinn and Barbara Gordon since they're appearing in a new comic
Fingers crossed we get some version
This has to be the best set of 6 diapered figures on the market to date.

At this point I'd be willing to sacrifice the black McFarstand for more hands in the box. They're great, but I have a box full of those, and would be just fine if I didn't get another one ever again.
I'd be fine with that but I don't see it happening. The cards and stands are cheap and easy to mass produce and give the impression of more value without giving the item anything unique. It's just too cost effective to change it, unfortunately.
I wish the KeatonBatman have a whole neck articulation like Batman Hush, so it can look accurate to the source material.
Honestly I wish it had no head articulation whatsoever, but I'd accept your suggestion too.

I mainly pre ordered this set, to get Kilmer & Clooney. Since you mentioned they will both, MOST LIKELY, get re-released, do you think the re-release will be almost exactly the same, with a cloth cape, + extra hands???
$130 is a lot for other Batman figures, I don't really want.
Clooney has already been announced along with a whole Batman and Robin, but no details yet. If Battinson, Bale, and Affleck are an indication though, I think it is safe to assume he will come with something. As for Kilmer, it's all speculation on my part but reuse is the name of the game in action figures, and Batman sells. Combined with the peg hole in the back for a plastic cape and it just feels inevitable.
A little bit off topic but either the likeness rights for Jack has gone down or Beast Kingdom paid a lot of money because they released a Nicholson Joker fairly recently……and I don’t know them to be that big of a company. Although its probably is a lot more money than a company in a domestic space is willing to pay.

Question. Why on anthony customs video Kilmer looks blue? It doesn't looks like the issue is lightning
It's kind of a silver-blue, so I guess depending on light, white balance, and color corrected it will look more blue or not from video to video, but I haven't seen Anthony's so I really couldn't tell you exactly

Not entirely sure when I'm going to get to that one, to be honest. There are a couple of other videos I have that are Batman related coming first. But when I do, I will definitely make a note of those comparisons you'd like to see. It shouldn't be too long though.
Honestly if the promotional images and other reviewers made it more obvious how much better the robert pattinson figure was I probably wouldve grabbed this set.
I don't watch other people's reviews of figures I'm going to cover, because I don't want to be influenced. So I didn't realize that nobody was giving the upgraded Pattinson its due. That is surprising and disappointing. The new version is great

Kilmer's "Panther" suit. It's great. His Sonar suit is awful.
Bale's Begins suit. I love that suit. I hate his TDK/TDKR suit.
Affleck's first BvS suit.
I hate his JL suits.
I really do hope they give us the Panther Suit version, but I have a soft spot for the Sonar. I am also hoping for the BvS and Begins suits as well.

Aw, man. Adam West is rolling in his grave. How could they forget him?!!!! Either I'm misunderstanding the concept, or that has to be the worst product development research to date.
As long as we get a high quality DC Multiverse West at some point I can live with him not being in the box set. He is style tonally and stylistically different from the rest I get why they didn't include him. Still, it would have been great if it had.
