Has induction been suggested to you? Have your mum friends been induced? Did you skip induction and wait for spontaneous labour to occur? Let us know in the comments below. Melanie xx
I went to the PAU at my local hospital for reduced fetal movement twice within 3 weeks. The second time I was 37w3, all tests came back fine, scan showed everything was perfect and baby was 3/5 engaged but the dr came to me and told me I needed an induction and it was being booked at 39w. He then left the room without discussing anything with me, asking if I wanted it, or telling me why he said I needed it.. I then saw my midwife at 38w3 who said there is no medical need for me to be induced and she tried to cancel it for me and was told she couldn’t and that I still have to go to hospital when called for the induction to then tell them I don’t want to be induced. I wasn’t given any information on anything, just a date and a leaflet about how it would happen but nothing about the pain or how long it may take. Needless to say I’m waiting for labour to start on its own unless there is a medical need for the safety of me or my baby
