The thing is that all truck stops are for diesel only, and it’s pretty hard to take a 36 foot travel trailer in and out of a regular gas station

First thing I done after my first two thousand mile trip was to add an auxiliary tank. Not because I want to go longer between stops but I don’t like looking for fuel stations and most of them are dirty. An extra 60 gallon tank makes my towing life much less stressful

I just bought a 32' trailer and my truck takes unleaded - as you said a lot of spots are a pain to get in and out to fill up...love the truck lane idea but do those truck lanes have regular gas or just diesel? Thanks for these tips...great video!

Not very helpful unless you’re driving a diesel.

Pilot's are hit and miss for fueling with gas on large vehicles. On a recent trip with a U-Haul pulling a car hauler, I stopped at one Pilot close to my start point, and it had great facilities. Two fueling stations with pumps on both sides. I stopped at another one about 30 minutes from my destination, and it had terrible access. The only facilities for large vehicles was the diesel truck pumps. I'm looking to get a truck for pulling a TT or 5W, and I was wanting a gas engine, as I'm pretty handy with gas engine repairs. Now I'm rethinking that.

Do those pumps that the semi's go through offer gas and diesel?

Generally no. However some Flying J’s/ Pilot do have RV sections which do

We love it! A few maiden voyage issues we had to fix but other than that we love it and it has about everything as the Momentums and Seismic but about 20k cheaper. Only complainy we have is garage is cold when it is really cold outside

So I need a really small nozzle for my Jeep diesel . And the truck section is there almost always a small nozzle available? And if so how do I identify that or do I just pull over and ask which lane

Thank you for the video. I would have appreciated a little more how to, since I've never done it before. Like, when you get Diesel at the truck pumps, can you pay at the pump like a normal gas station? If not, what steps do you have to go through? Are you using your Good Sam card at the pump? How do you redeem the discount?

You can pay at the pump just like at a normal gas station however the good sams discount sometimes requires you to go inside to the cashier to show them your card. The exception to this is the Pilots/Flying J's with dedicated RV lanes you can swipe your good sams card at the pump prior to swiping your credit card most times

What are your thoughts about biodiesel? When traveling through California I sometimes have to use 20% biodiesel.

The issue I have with Biodiesel is it is more likely to grow algea

Are there products you recommend to prevent algae?

Diesel Clean helps prevent it and Killem kills it once you have an algea issue

Yeah let's go to a truck stop and hold the truckers back from filling their big rigs That campers not even big Fill up at the RV or fill up at the car pumps you should be able to do that If you can't maybe you shouldn't be hauling that that camper
