- Foodie and Drinking day in New Orleans! Our first visit to Liuzza's By The Track for their famous BBQ Shrimp Po'Boy, then off to our favorite watering hole, Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar, to get our (many) drinks on. Then finish off the evening at Felix's for dinner. Now, that's how you do New Orleans.

No New Orleans trip is complete unless you do a Purple drink, Hurricane and Oysters!! So Glad you indulged a bit and enjoyed yourselves!! I prefer the char grilled oysters myself but will do both raw or charred.

We just got back from New Orleans! Had our trip planned for a month, enjoyed your previous videos so we would have something to go by. We ate at Felix’s, Mambo’s, Pier 424, Market Cafe and Cafe Beignet. Purple drink from Lafitte’s, so special there! Stayed at Royal Sonesta where the Desire sign is, so nice there. We were ready for home after that. Rested one night, tuned in and here you are!!! Love and enjoy your videos so much, glad you had a great time. You guys are so much fun 🎉

This might be my favorite of your amazing videos! I think this video showcased the most delicious of the food adventures you have taken us on. That shrimp poor boy sandwich is unbelievable! Another fun video by The Fun Couple. Lisa was so cute when she pulled the sticker off your shirt :). You have a great giggle. We all know that Lisa LOVES her Purple drink at Lafitte's. I usually get the Hurricane. I remember when they hand made them. Now they are like Pat O'Briens out of a machine. I wasn't impressed with Felix's last trip last March. Their oysters were the size of a quarter. I complained to a manager who couldn't give a sh-t what I thought. I have been going to Felix's for over 20 years and they have NEVER been SO RUDE. Even the hostess and our server apologized for the manager's behavior. So now we go to Oceana's. Try to visit New Orleans Cookery next time for their Happy Hour specials, really good. We will be there again next March. As always, thanks for the cute videos.

Liuzza's By the Track is about 4 blocks from my house. The place is an institution. They got great gumbo and awesome BBQ shrimp po boys but I really like the fried soft shell crab po boy.

Interestingly enough, I've been to Laffitte's Blacksmith virtually every time I've visted Nawlins, but I've never been there in the daytime. It's meant to be visited at night because they try to use as little electrical lighting as possible. They've always wanted to maintain the natural lighting ambiance that was there almost 300 years ago.
Every time I see someone tipsy on UA-cam it reminds me of the scene in Sex and the City where Carrie is interviewing for an assistant. “Cathy, you seem drunk” “Lil bit. Never made it to bed last night. But I type like a mthr fkr!” Another great eating and drinking adventure by you two. Again loved the outro. Felt like I was walking in the quarter.

If you ever get the chance to stay at Lafitte Guest House there is one room that is like a studio apartment with a cast iron staircase to the loft and a living room and sunken bath downstairs. So nice
