You really did some hustling to get this footage. I appreciate it too!! Enjoyed every second of it JT!! This is the most interesting part of railroading for me. I am not thrilled by watching a 200 car freight rumble by. I like seeing nitty gritty operations like this. Thanks for sharing this.
Love those old workhorses. When I was a pup growing up in Cincy, I'd run down the hill and watch shortline ops for hours. It was all fascinating like watching a game. Locos positioning cars, lining them, big guys throwing manual switches, the lead loco is now the rear, pulling the whole consist away, horns, lights, gates up and down. Youth, man.
It was very cool how because of the angle of the sun in the last shot after the new crossing the shadow of the engines preceded them on the other side of the track. I have never seen a dog and cat be such good friends as Chessie and Norfie. Thanks for sharing them . All Great!
That's a lot of switching/shunting :) The stuff we don't get to see often - usually see the consist out on the iron rolling and we miss all this work :)
They may be doing there locomotive inspections at Sardinia too. The daily inspection can be done by the engineer. But the 31 day, 92 day, and the annual inspections are done by the mechanical department.
Its always a pleasure to see what the short liners and the locals do to get things ready for the long haulers. You know, J.T., if you had a drone, you would not have had to do all of that walking.🤔
LOVE THE PET PART OF THIS VIDEO VERY GOOD JOB INDEED THANKS FOR SHARING THIS INFORMATION AS WELL WITH YOUR SUBSCRIBERS THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THIS SITUATION 👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏👌👌👌👌
The Sardinia Shuffle. Variety seen only in a used car lot or a box of Valentine's Day chocolates. Certainly the only place in the US you could assemble that lashup. Even the 3 covered hoppers had different owners. Now all star wrestling with Norfie and Chessie
Watching your videos makes me want to spend my retirement in these midwest small towns, watching trains. Thanks so much! Now, I just need to win that lottery.
Everything about Railroads fascinates me! So, I love all aspects. Particularly the defect detectors, shunting, delivery, switching, etc. Not that I don’t enjoy the 2 mile long trains, but, the background work is great! Love that 3512! Thanks!!
Short lines are unique. During my Con-Rail days when work was scarce I boomed on three different short lines to keep my rr ret. fund active. All of them you operated a locomotive at one time or another. The one you worked all crafts. Track work was back breaking.
Thanks, Jaw Tooth, for another great video. I do love the switchers for sure and I appreciate your dedication and running back and forth to show us the best content. I like hearing the communications on the scanner and the dogs barking when the horn blows!
Hey! Señor Jaws! If it's not too far outta yer comfort zone, could ya maybe ask da CCET locomotive boyz runnin' the two new red engines and the green one to come down here and put on a switching, shunting and shuffling show? I got a perfect downtown Puebla spot for 'em at el Museo Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Mexicanos, Puebla. It's only a few blocks close to where I live in El RobPalacio (the name I give my apartment). Lotta folks with interest already at the museum. Warm, sunny weather today... high of 81°F. I know a fun and inexpensive taco place near their show (great for babe watchin'). Great price for a kilo of either al pastor or carne arabe (that's the meat), red and green salsa (careful on the salsa verde... muy picante) a stack of corn tortillas and some rice (Mexican style). Great performance today. Gracias por tu video. RT sends... envía... Colonia Centro Histórico, Puebla, México...
Thank you for going to Sardinia, Ohio to document the addition of the GP15-1 to the engine lash-up on this train and the dropping off of the MP15 on the house track at the Sardinia wye. It was neat watching the crew move those engines around. The train got up to speed quickly from the stop before that last crossing. This was a great video!
Great video of the locomotive shunting. And seeing those new crossing gates and lights made me think to tell you I got my new RXR Crossing Crossbuck sign today that actually makes them for all railroads. That thing will look awesome in my railroad room I'm creating. Thanks again for sharing your videos JT!
Norfie thinks he's a dog or Chessie thinks he a cat. Lol! You got cool animals! 👍🐕🐈⬛ You got some great artists in the making! Love those paintings! 👍🖼🎨 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲
JT, you seem to be a perennial fan of the CCET. Could you ask them when they will paint the two B36 units? Or, if they plan to dispose of the HE's, now that they have complete EMD power in the collection?
Those locomotives are really neat to watch and listen to. I actually took pictures of them before CCET bought them. They use to run on the TTI Railroad in Paris, Kentucky. Almost all of TTI tracks are now out of service so they sold 2 of them to CCET. One of these days I plan on filming the TTI tracks before they get removed
@@JawTooth TTI's website shows one or two GE's in a "modernized" livery. They're averting the transload and car storage capacity. CSX owns them, of course. Would there be an advantage if the line would be used for directional through-traffic?

Thanks J.T. INTERESTING ONE SHUFFELIING THOSE ENGINES Around figure it out I’m sure it had a purpose 😝 great video including that mother dog don’t she love that kitty ❤️
I say Mr Jaw Tooth, a jolly good bit of shunting on your American railway line! I am glad to see that the influence of us, your British viewers, is starting to really have an effect. You will be talking about the wooden railway sleepers next! On a serious note, it is sad to see our old friend 2414 being dumped off. Hope that we will see this locomotive ride again :(
Its so cool seeing local short line operations! Im near the York Railway Company in York, Pa and its always special seeing them operate there fleet is mainly older emd GP units.
Hello fellow Pennsylvanian! I live in Windber, just outside of Johnstown and less than an hour from Altoona. There's some rich railroading heritage in this area!!

Excellent ☺️
This train is very not economy but this railroad is very lovely . Thank you very much .
I like that power to cars ratio. Three locomotives with 6,800 horsepower and three empty cars. Add a couple ironing boards and we could fly.
Your doing a good job Jaw Tooth. Love your videos and animals.
Great video Jawtooth, a lot of switching!!
