i had a 2004 LS V8 Sport and the fastest i had it to was 140, AFAIK it was stock and untouched. Trans was about shot but it would scoot still. miss that car. best $500 ever spent. had 87k on it when i got it and black on black.
@@joeltmrw4806 well I actually got lucky cuz I got mine at a Copart auction, car was supposedly flood damaged but showed no signs besides some leaky door seals (common) so interior was dirty but that was it. Car ran and drove great and I put 5k on it even with a hurt tranny
No it wouldn't. I checked the tune on the pcm it was set to 130mph from the factory. I'm almost done with the jaguar 4.2 na swap. Can't wait too get it tuned
@@TurboquandoGaming I'm working on it I have to find the right timing mark on the flexplate so the Lincoln LS pcm can run the motor. So I have to drop the transmission again lol
I don't think so, I had a 93' Z28 to 154mph and it would do it in 5th gear at 5600rpm and 6th would only go to like 4200rpm if I remember correctly?! Went back and forth to 5th and 6th, it just wouldn't go any faster... Never saw an indicator or light other than check engine! 😂😂😂
Lots of miles per hour but very slow after 70mph compare to a jeep v8 5.2 would smoke this car before it top out. Always a good and a bad, a little mod and if u make it 5 sec in 0-60 would be perfect for this car.
142 MPH and that's it! If it's the 3.9l V8 with sport/intercepter package. I love these cars 💯

My 06 wont go past 135 you can feel it cut the power

@@justinc9911 get the 2003 and up, and It depends on the part. Most parts you can find just some are expensive due to it being related to jaguar.

the v6 isnt any less powerful then the v8. Its powerband is just alot higher
got my 05 ls 3.0 to 136, after about 120 the car doesnt pull good in d5 so i had it in d4 and it pulls
And yet now and days I'm going 180 in the car motor is still the 3.9 I'm going to push it up to 200 at least try
