Thats a nice LS Mr. Johannes. I own a 06 LS myself. These cars have a way of pulling you into falling in love with them. They require a little maintenance as well but once you get all the bugs worked out it is a wonderful car. Me and my wife just got back from taking ours on a 5 hour road trip to the Smokey Mountains. There nothing like getting on the interstate and running it up to 100-120 and it just cruises right along. Ive been looking to buying another one. I hope you enjoy yours as much as i have mine.
I had this same exact car same color but mines was a 2006. All 2006 models look like the 04/05 LSE models except they didnt have the all red tails. This isnt a LSE if its an 06. The two tone tails give it away unless they were swapped out. Mines was a 06 Ultimate with the THX and Navigation, HIDs, 5 spoke chrome wheels and wood grain wheel.
The vin #, insurance co. And registration state it's an LSE, it has the correct suspension, motor and both front and rear facias according to my Ford Lincoln mechanic I use when I need a lift, either way It is a great car!
Nice looking except for the rear spoiler. A small one attached to the deck lid would imo look nicer and not like an after market tack on. Beautiful car.
My favorite cars of all time. Unfortunately it’s not an LSE, they didn’t produce LSE in 2006 only sport V8 trim was available. The rims aren’t OEM neither is the spoiler. Lse is just an appearance pkg mostly which has a decklid lip, solid red tail lights unique wheels, skirting, and the rear badging wouldn’t have the v8 emblem only LSE. You’ve taken great care of your car it’s rare to see a good condition LS these days. Kudos.
After some research it looks like ford used previous LSE parts on the 2006 LS, including the badge both front and rear facile, fog lights spoiler etc. Had me fooled lol.
@@2helpzone yes they dwindled down production cost and used what was avail. My assumption is they had the bumpers already manufactured from previous year for the LSE and it was cheaper to use them up. I have a 02 and 05 sport v8s. My all time favorite car. But the quality and build, design, features are hands down 10 times better in the first gen. To sit behind the wheel of my 02 compared to 05 you can tell the clear difference in where they started cutting cost. The biggest difference in the leather and seats. I wouldn’t be surprised if the gen2 had imitation vinyl for leather, gen1 was plush real leather and so comfortable. Dash parts on gen 2 were cheap, door panels, buttons, taillights, instrument cluster all cheap in comparison. The only advantage gen2 had on gen1 was the headlights and the few extra horsepower and exhaust note. I’m in market for another one but going back with 2002 for my third one. The headlights and console were an easy swap to do which made it perfect.

Be sure to check the cooling system, rule out anyone using stop leak, if they did it will leave a white discoloration around the thermostat or hoses. I REPLACED ALL MY COOLING HOSES AT 91,000 MILES, AT 30,000 MILES WHAT COULD REALLY BE WRONG?
According to Wikipedia for the 2005 model year 1500 LSE's. I was surprised to learn that my 2006 is an LS in LSE disguise. What can I say. 06 models # not known.
I just passed 43k original miles on my 06’ LS V8 today. Same color too! Love this car so much.

My dad's 06 LS V8 has the LSE front bumper. Turns out the last year of the LS V8s had the LSE bumpers but weren't actual LSE's.
Hope he is still enjoying the car!

Thank you I have enjoyed it, problem free except for a rebuild for the plastics Ford uses in the cooling system. It is definitely a keeper!

I have an '06 in the same color but unfortunately the sun has faded it quite a bit so I am very much jealous of yours.
Try an electric polisher and buffer, it may be restored.

I got rid of mine it had so many problems that were supposed to have been fixed by 06 but they weren’t straight garbage
