-Today we are going to set up a caricature bust with a turned head from a block
-The block I am using is 2" x 1.5" x 4"
I am using a Ron Wells Knife for the roughing out of the block, but I also use a long 2 1/4" Helvie and Drake for completing the bust.

Thanks Blake, great video love that symmetry. Knife was flying through that wood like it was butta.
Those Ron Wells knives are hard to come by! Great knife if you can find one!

Thanks Tom for your feedback! I appreciate it!
Blake, instead of that synthetic background "music"(?) you could use some banjo/bluegrass
Nice video Blake. Will you be doing a part 2 and so on until the bust is complete?
My plan will be to add more of the process. It's pretty lengthy so it would have to be in segments.
Why didn't you use a square block?
The shoulders on a bust are wider than the body is from the front to the back. Additionally, the extra wood on the width allows you to turn the head and get a more believable pose.
