I agree... I never have sealed my vinyl before & I'm starting to see lifting on a new cup I applied epoxy to TODAY! I'll have to do your fix. Anything else I can use to seal my vinyl if I don't have polyurethane?
Thank you so much for this! People always talk about fixing mistakes like this but you are the only person that I have seen to actually show the process. It turned out great!
At the time that you shared this video I didn't need the info. Well this weekend I did and it saved me some time and a 3rd cup. So yes, we always want these types of videos. We may not need them right when you record them but we may later. I never watched this video but I feel like God brought it back to my remembrance the other day so THANK YOU! Worked perfectly and you can't even tell that I removed a decal.
LOVED seeing this. I am always worried if I make a mistake that I cannot remove epoxy. Seeing this helped a LOT. Thank you. Keep these repair tutorials coming. Would love to see more.
I’m using this method today. 🙏🏻 I’m not a newbie, but finding times like this when I need the basics. I’d love to have more videos like this. Thank you!
Thank you sooooo much for sharing this fix....I just finished a cup last night to commemorate a special day for a family member and when I checked on the cup before I went to bed I discovered I had put the wrong day on the cup (one day off UGH)...I thought about it ALL night long, fretting about having to completely start over...I am going to give this fix a try...
You’re brilliant!!! I didn’t know you could soften epoxy with a heat gun after it has hardened. We always sand ours down to fix mistakes. Thank you so much for sharing, especially something that will save us so much time.
Oh my gosh! I needed this!!! I have a tumbler that has been kicking my butt!!! The first letter of the name curled! I didn't think I'd be able to save it so thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
Life Saver! Thank you. Just did a baby bottle and a tumbler for mama Then to my surprise they decided to change the baby’s name😮 going to go save my projects now
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I made a tumbler for my daughter and her son sat it near a hot pan. The tumbler stuck to the pan so he pulled it away leaving a hole in the epoxy. I was not sure how to go about fixing it. So glad I found your tutorial!
I almost made that same spelling error on a pen but last minute I looked up the spelling and had to re cut my vinyl! This is an awesome hack! I would have just remade the darn thing. Awesome tutorial! Thank you!
I absolutely LOVE that you showed us how to fix something like this- I have always wondered what I would I do if I messed up a name spelling or something!! So thank you ❤️❤️
Great 👍 job I’m so glad you put this out there. This is great I can use this method basically on other types of mistakes like this and I would love to see more of these types of videos like this and beginners videos.
😍 this tip. I have done the exact thing 2x on the same tumbler. This is a game changer. Saves so much time and frustration. I will be looking forward to more goodies like this from you Jessica!
Thanks so much for this extremely helpful video and yes ma’am keep them coming! I’m OCD about spelling but people change their minds sometimes so this tip comes in handy for sure. Can’t wait to see more videos!
This is perfect timing!! I have a tumbler I’ve been fighting with and need to redo the decal...was about to just start over but I’m going to try this instead!! Thank you so very much. ❤️
Great tutorial!! I've stripped a couple of cups because of mistakes like this. Hope it doesn't happen again BUT I will definitely try this if it does. Would love to see more of these tutorials. Thank you. 💖
That looked pretty easy heating the Epoxy up I never really tried that I usually just use my Dremel where the lettering is and then pull the lettering off I will definitely have to try it your way and see if I like that way better thank you for the share very cute couple
I love that you showed a repair! I (literally just now) messed up a cup when I sprayed a clear enamel to help hold everything in place before applying my resin - it changed the color of my alcohol inks and the ones that remained under a clear vinyl sticker were the original shades i worked hard to get. Any repairs for this type of situation? I did what I could but I have a distinct line where my vinyl sticker is at now :/
Sometimes as the resin cures more the inks go back to those original colors actually. I’m not sure how. But once everything is cured and under epoxy there’s not a fix for that
Thank you for showing this. I’m going to try it with the cup I messed up on. Since I don’t have the sealer you used. Should I be sealing it with a clear spray over the vinyl or can I just go in with the last layer of expoxy
Great video, very helpful. What did you apply before the final coat of epoxy? I looked in what you used but I didn’t see what you used in the descriptions. Thank you and keep up your great work and tutorials
Yes to more repair type of videos! Nobody has any of them! Tysm for this one! 💗😘

Thank you Kelley!
Does it level out okay? I love your videos!! You’ve taught me so much!
Yes it does. Just continue sanding until the edges are smooth like I did. I'm so glad my videos have been helpful!
This was a big help, thanks for this! What about how to fix smaller blemishes or imperfections?
Sure thing! For small blemishes just sand and epoxy
Thank you for showing this. I’m going to try it with the cup I messed up on. Since I don’t have the sealer you used. Should I be sealing it with a clear spray over the vinyl or can I just go in with the last layer of expoxy
Thank you for the video! I made a spelling error and stripped the whole cup😢 wish I had seen this sooner.
Oh no. This will help you next time!
I needed that a month ago....THANK YOU!!!!
You're welcome!!
Great video, very helpful. What did you apply before the final coat of epoxy? I looked in what you used but I didn’t see what you used in the descriptions. Thank you and keep up your great work and tutorials

Super helpful video! Can you go over how to prevent fast set epoxy from yellowing when using a torch to pop bubbles?
If it's turning yellow with a torch, you are burning the epoxy.
@@FlynnSistersBoutique I thought so :( I just can’t seem to get all the bubbles to pop maybe my epoxy coats are too thick?
Thanks foe the tips!!
Thank you for watching!
Great video!!
These are the best thank you! I have one now I need to get vinyl adhesive off and I cannot. 😒
Try an abrasive scrub and a magic eraser
@@FlynnSistersBoutique thank you! That’ did help!
I needed this video last month. What font did you use? Pretty cup. And yes, bring on the repair videos too.
Amarillo 😊
Wish I knew I could do that 2 weeks ago before totally stripping a cup. Thank you Jessica!
You're welcome Dana!
