"I used to be a brother, and now I'm not a brother anymore." That line is a major gut punch. There was actually 6 brothers, Jack, Kevin, David, Kerry, Michael and Chris.
OMG... this was an amazing movie. Interesting little bit of trivia - The oldest brother, Jack Jr, wasn't mentioned much. He was...6?... when he took an electric shock from a trailer hitch and drowned a puddle of melted snow. There was a whole other brother, Chris, who committed suicide when he was 21 and was left out of the movie FOR TIME.... so much tragedy in such a close family.
5:25 while technically each individual promotion can just choose who its champion is (and Kevin is about to explain how that works), the NWA itself is a larger body governing multiple promotions across the country. There is a board of directors that determines who, amongst all of the performers in all the promotions, becomes the WORLD Heavyweight Champion. As such, it is a matter of pride for that champion to be from the roster of one particular promotion, as now that promotion has greater cred amongst all the others across the states, and their member has greater exposure (back in the days before programs were seen nationally)

At 12:45 it’s not their brother’s song. The song is Tom Sawyer, by Rush

That's absolutely heartbreaking. I'm so glad we didn't have to watch that I don't think I could've handled it.

It is scripted but you still have to put on a good show.
