I like beautiful feet especially as a Catholic because not all Christian homeschool programs align with Catholic theology. I use my own Catholic book options to discuss the faith and theology of Christ taught by the Catholic Church. I’ve used oak meadow the old version and it’s very time intensive for planning but not horrible. ixl is also a reasonable online secular program I’m thinking it’s only in the US but not sure.
Yes, a lot of protestant ones go thoroughly into the Inquisition, Reformation and so on which (I can imagine) have very different scripts depending on what church you go to. I think BF is secular though which is why I'm not a fan. A lot of Catholics use Memoria Press actually.
I love your style of presenting the curriculum! This was probably the most entertaining video I have seen about curriculum and you did not even have to open one page! Good job! I do want to add that Beautiful Feet is a faith-based curriculum that has some secular options just in case someone out there is looking for truly secular. I look forward to more of your content
Moving Behind the Page and Oak Meadow are good picks but some of the most used are Blossom and Root, Build Your Library, Torchlight, Pandia Press, Royal Fireworks Press and many others. You could have just asked over at SEA homeschool. This video may need a part two. Oh and by the way if it has a Christain world view or biblical world view, it’s not secular.
Thank you!!! It's the most expensive shirt I've ever bought (70 Australian dollars). I'm usually an opportunity (second hand) shopper. But I love it too :)
If a curriculum includes a "biblical world view", even small parts of it, it is NOT secular. That comment goes for a few of your recommendations. I came here looking for secular recommendations. And your list includes allot of biblical offerings. A curriculum, very simply, cannot be both.
Actually, these are leading secular programs in the homeschool world. I just dig a lot... because many programs can't stay away from the bible. And if your kids don't know a bit of bible, they won't have a proper education. Forget reading and understanding Charles Dickens, Milton and half the others for example.
Have even used some of these curricula? (I assume not after looking at your other videos) Many of them are not great, like Time for Learning. It’s fun to get views or ad money sure, but you are misleading people.
I always research my curriculum choices. And I cover so many that obviously I can't use them all. I personally don't think secular curriculum is that great. I agree with you in that. I don't know if you noticed that in my other videos. Why don't you make a video about the best choices? And you could make it ad free if your happy to give your time for free and are that passionate about it. I'd be interested to see your recommendations. The ones in this video are some of the most popular if you look on Google (and don't count non-homeschool programs).

Yes! They had to change their name because of a copyright clash.

Acellus isn’t covered here as I saw the logo on the cover of this video - or did I somehow miss it? 😅
Power Homeschool is powered by Acellus Technology. Acellus Academy also uses Acellus technology but its an online school.
