The only issue with the math is you can’t account for correlation accurately. While 4 independent bets yield X result. Both prize picks and underdog allow for correlated plays while some other sites do not allow. Example: 4 leg parley where the picks are Team A QB and Team A top WR and Team B QB and Team B top WR. If you bet them together, team A QB over and WR over as an example. There is a correlation between if QB A has a good game than more likely WR A will also have a good game. 1 event vs 2 events if you bet two random WRs overs instead. Wouldn’t the correlation here make your odds better? This correlation is why you have to pick multiple teams even on a 2 leg play
Given the game’s overall over/under, a low-scoring prediction suggests it’s less likely that offensive players from both teams will perform well, and the opposite is true for a high-scoring game.
@@roro51 correct. DFS have begun banning using QB and WR correlated plays. Prize picks and BETR still allows and underdog allows for NFL, just banned for College today. All the others do not allow
I loved the video Shane! I was an applied math major so I really enjoyed hearing your application of math on prizepicks. Would it be too much to ask for a download link of your excel that you created? I really want to use it for my bets
I see that the breakeven point for the 5 and 6 flex for prizepick is the same but wouldn't the 6 flex option be better since it returns a higher EV percentage compared to the 5 pick flex at any point above the breakeven point and our goal is to find picks that has a higher chance to hit than the percentage at that point?
@@SergioSavior I had oddsjam. I lost soo much money. Dgf fantasy is way more affordable and actually helped me make some profit. Oddsjam is only good for arbitrage betting.
Interesting strategy, but apart from having to place more bets, isn't just placing regular single bets the same when it comes to profit? Single bets are easier to smooth out on the EV line too no? So instead of placing a 6 leg parlay, placing 6 individual bets would yield in the same profit?
Correct. DFS betting is much more volatile. However most straight bets you can only really see yourself getting at most 3-4% EV. While parlay betting can get you up to 35% EV. DFS is extremely tough mentally but there are a lot of sharp bettors who go on insane runs with DFS and still end up having a positive month every month. Personally I am at a +40% ROI over 3 months using DFS like Underdog, Prizepicks and parlayplay with over 600 parlays placed. There are bettors i know who have the same ROI with over 5000 parlays placed. You also got to remember people like me cant use draftkings, fanduel etc because most of us live in illegal states. DFS is legal in every state. TLDR: DFS is more volatile. But theres potential with having a higher ROI with parlay bets than straight bets.
how are you supposed to know which 6 to choose from the odds jam calculator if its listing like 100 bets that are the 54.25% chance or higher? Like do you just go down the line and keep making 6 man bets until you have selected every one? Or can you select 6 random ones?
You wanna aim for like a 5-10% ROI while using the fanatsy OddsJam software. So bet 10k a month to win 500-1k a month. Don’t expect to make any more than this, 95% of betters who don’t use software just lose long term
Easy player win is to choose "six" and pick less under the game cricket. Very hard to hit a six, if achieved the player will get a standing ovation from the audience.

🤦🏾♂️ it doesn't matter what you pick or who you pick. Its called "gambling" its 50/50 you could hit or not. Keep in mind betters dont know exactly how 1 or more players will play that game. Example - LeBron score 18 pts one game then recently he scored 30 plus lol. Its called TAKING RISK. Just like life, you take a risk with you life every day you wake up not knowing wth could happen to you, as in a freak accident happened and life is over not even knowing that day would be your last, even if you planned you day out perfectly. Long comment short, its 50/50. Lifes A Gamble. Thanks in advance 🤣🤣🤣 Overall great video mate, people in the comments appreciate you shedding light on things every one can find out themselves. 😂😂😂
