Interesting fact. When Uncle starts singing you'll notice the voice change. You are actually hearing the original voice actor for Uncle who died before all the voice work was completed. They kept his singing in the game as a memory of him.

Wow now putting it together that means Dutch and Micah did split up when Arthur died with different portions of the money, that's why Micah says all sorts of people are making social calls. Meaning Dutch got there recently and was probably trying to find a good time to kill him without Micahs men killing him. But John and Sadie solved that problem. Dutch must have been thinking a long time about what happend the night arthur died and all his choices before. Went to kill the man who led him astray to betray all the good people he was leading.
@@kaihamilton003 I owned the game back in 09 or whenever it came out I just didn't play it much, I didn't even realize Arthur wasn't the same guy in rdr1 until a few days after I got rdr2 lol.
Dutch was there to kill micah that’s why he said to john “same as you” when asked why he is there. Also during the credits, the detectives find Micah dead while looking confused as if they expected to find Dutch instead. Micah was there to set dutch up.
I think Jack's reaction to Rufus being hurt was so 'extreme' was because he remembers and/or was traumatized by the loss of Cain. The dog from scarlet meadows.

@@nemesis27 no they can, but going through something traumatic can definitely be a reason for it. Obviously though kids can just be shy and quiet without any reason.
Idk if you ever noticed but in the cutscene of Arthur’s death, as Dutch stands over Arthur he starts to realize his everything that went wrong and how he betrayed his son as Arthur is laying there, thats why he ends up leaving Micah and walking up the hill, also the voice actor that plays Dutch ended up crying irl after he walked up the hill. Shows how committed they were
and something else he didn't notice is how Dutch is so egocentric he isn't even capable to say "im sorry" to his dying son. His voice just breaks whenever he try to do so. Best game ever.
@@paulpartida4797 This is going to end up being long, but there’s another couple interesting details I’ve noticed too: 1. how in that scene, after Arthur talks to Dutch, you can see how what he’s saying is getting through to Dutch, and he knows in his heart Arthur is completely right, like the original comment says, and you can also see his ego still prevailing with him not staying by Arthur’s side, and not even being able to muster up an “I’m sorry” to his son, like you mentioned… but also, right after Arthur tells Dutch that he gave him all he had, and Dutch is attempting to say sorry, he does something interesting, and I think it blends those two very real sides of Dutch together that you both mentioned perfectly. What he does in this scene is, he takes his foot off of Arthur’s hand. The same hand that was holding the only gun in this situation where Arthur and Micah were just trying to end each other. Now, obviously in that moment, Dutch couldn’t put his pride aside and shoot Micah himself, that would be admitting he was wrong this entire time, which despite him being touched by Arthur’s words, he’s still incapable of. However I believe this was done to show that Dutch was fully prepared to let Arthur shoot Micah in that moment. He knew Arthur was right, he was hurt by hearing what he knew deep down was the truth, and if Arthur shot Micah, he wouldn’t have to admit to himself or anyone else that he was ever wrong, and that all of this was still largely his fault. Why else would he take his foot off Arthur’s hand, when only seconds ago the only reason it was there was to stop Arthur from shooting Micah? It just so turns out that Arthur was already so close to death that even grabbing the gun was impossible for him, he just collapses. I believe it was fully intended, as it also comes at a key timing: exactly where you’re talking about, when Dutch is just saying “I-… I…”, and being confronted with the truth of looking at his dying son, who’s blood is largely on his hands. Also 2. I think that moment with Arthur on the mountain is what caused Dutch to visit Micah in the epilogue. A lot of people assume Dutch had just been working with Micah again for awhile, but in reality Dutch left Micah at the end of chapter 6, and Micah also mentions to John how “all manor of folks have been paying social calls” right before Dutch walks out, which clearly means Dutch had only just recently shown up as well. Probably due to the same lead Sadie had, he could have even been searching for Micah for years at this point. A lot of people question Dutch’s reasonings for shooting Micah in the end, but it’s clear that was his intention from the start. John asks Dutch something along the lines of “what are you doing here” and Dutch responds, “same as you, I suppose” he knows John is there to shoot Micah, so unless he intended to do the same (which he does do shortly after) then he has no reason to say this. Furthermore I don’t think John being there had anything to do with his decision to shoot Micah, if anything it just complicated things for Dutch. John doesn’t say much that would have convinced Dutch to have a change or heart, and he clearly still wants nothing to do with John based on the look he gives him as he walks away and says nothing. So clearly he had other reasons, and it wasn’t the money since he left tens of thousands of dollars behind. I believe he was there for Arthur (and for Hosea, and everyone else who lost their lives, as well as those who had them ruined because of the path they went down on after Dutch started listening to Micah). Like I mentioned with the first thing I noticed, Dutch wasn’t ready shoot Micah on that cliff with Arthur, he had too much pride and couldn’t bring himself to admit the truth and face the consequences. However, after knowing his son died in that way, knowing he was right, and knowing Micah was to blame for so much of it. It makes sense that he’d eventually be able to admit the truth and take out Micah as he should have 7 years prior. He had a lot of time for reflection in between chapter 6 and the epilogue, and the dialogue itself shows Dutch had also only just shown up, and intended on shooting Micah from the start. He was absolutely there for Arthur, same as John, Sadie, and Charles; he just didn’t expect to come across those 3 at the same time. He also didn’t know whether or not John was going to shoot him, and in that moment, I doubt Dutch was even fully decided on whether or not he wanted to shoot John. I think it’s clear Dutch never trusted John quite as much towards the end of the game, and even though he turns on and betrays Arthur too, it was clear he still held out more trust and respect for him during the last few missions. He suspects John and his family are trying to run off (which they are) and he suspects they may be the rats (which they aren’t, but they make plans behind his back, and Abigail did steal his key, which could all explain why he’d suspect that), that all adds up to Dutch not knowing what to think about John. John was obviously justified in his choices in chapter 6, but with how we all know Dutch views things like that, it only makes sense he would consider John a traitor who betrayed the gang, I can’t imagine him liking him much or only shooting Micah “for him”, even all these years later. On the other hand, Dutch always held out hope for Arthur siding with him at the end, and even though he left him to die, and always mentioned how Arthur lost faith in him, he still trusted him with the biggest jobs, and still heavily relied on him, I think there was a lot more respect for Arthur than for John at the end for Dutch, even if he still sided against them both. Arthur also spoke honestly to Dutch with his dying breaths, and reminded him that he, “gave him all he had”, a moment which clearly got through to Dutch, and he knew was true, it just took a little bit of time for it to actually lead to admittance and taking action. It only makes sense that Dutch was on Mount Hagen for the exact same reason as our trio: to avenge Arthur and end Micah once and for all.
Dutch’s final line just being “I ain’t… got too much to say no more” is so good. Dutch, the man of big words and endless philosophies. He’s finally out of excuses, of empty promises, he’s done convincing himself and everyone else he has a plan. He’s finally doing something for once
His lines in RDR1 is even better. “When I’m gone, they’ll just find another monster. They have to because they have to justify their wages.” Not gonna say more than that in order to avoid spoilers, but his dialogue hits home after playing the second game.
@@FR1ZZY187 Funny how vague and bleak that line felt the first time we played it. Then hearing it again after everything that happened in RDR2, goodness me. That one hurt. What a character.
“Revenge is a fools game” -Arthur And killing Micah led the Agent Ross and the Pinkertons straight to John and his family. Also the line from Dutch “Same as you I suppose” during the standoff was a cherry on top.
Funny fact: At 2:11:05 The actor who played Mary wasn’t available to do the motion capture scene for her character visiting Arthur’s grave, so the voice actor for Arthur (Roger Clark) did the motion capture for her. 😂 It’s pretty funny knowing he was staring at his own characters grave. Finished this series at the right time with Red Dead 1 being remastered 🔥🔥 he ain’t ready 😭😭😭
The irony of going after Micah for Arthur is that Arthur would tell John the same thing he told the Downes kid at the beginning of the story: Vengeance is a fools game. If anything Arthur would rather John forget Micah ever existed and just move on with his life.
Arthur told him that many times. “When the time comes, you gotta run and don’t look back.” “I want you to not look back.” John then decided to look back.
Kind of late since you finished, but if nobody said anything yet or you haven't continued with the story to finish some side quests and such, there's few things and people to visit: 1. You can visit all grave sites of the former gang members. 2. If you stop by randomly at the Emerald Station you can run into Rains Falls. 3. You can meet Pearson at the general store in Rhodes. 4. You can run into Mary-Beth on one of the stations (forgot which one). 5. You can run into Tilly at a park bench in Saint Denis. On west side of the park. 6. You can visit the widow that Arthur helped up north. 7. There's few other folks that remember Arthur. The vet in Valentine. The one-legged vet in Rhodes. The hat maker in Saint Denis. Plenty more stuff to do.

@adamlauer1096 yes its true. You can even see the blue bird in another mission after that. It's not actually Arthur but it's supposed to show that he's always watching over them
@@adamlauer1096during the house building mission there’s two. People assume it’s Arthur and Hosea. They also appear during missions in Guarma near Arthur and ik people have said it’s likely supposed to be Hosea and Lenny since they died right before.

I binge watched your whole run over the last 5 days. Let me say, I can tell you’re a genuinely good dude all around. You visibly felt powerful moments of the game, and personally were effected by the sacrifice and changing dynamic of Arthur’s and John’s life. John’s journey is just as powerful as Arthur’s because after so long he finally got it right. He grew up and saw the big picture and became the man you couldn’t see in him at the beginning of the game. Your energy in the human moments of this game was refreshing. You didn’t just understand…you were living it and your irl ethics showed through. Bravo man. Also, the size and depth of this game is massive so naturally you missed A SHIT TON of stuff, I encourage you, even if just on your personal time, to explore, explore, explore!!! Every inch of this map has something noteworthy and interesting. There’s deep lore and lots of wild shit to experience. And brother…In episode 1 you longed for duels…but never opened and got into the gunslinger side mission!! OMG! PLEASE!! Find those photos on your satchel and look at them…you’ll open the missions and you won’t be disappointed! God bless homie. I subbed on the strength of this playthrough and look forward to getting into your other ones.!
The outlaws legacy ain’t done yet jet. If your able to play it, it’s time for rdr1. This was the prologue, rdr1 is the continuation of this legacy. Been watching you since start of GOWR, and I don’t plan on leaving

No, no, keep the Uncle slander up. It's important to me as a passionate uncle slanderer. In all seriousness, he means well, and he has his moments where he's truly heart-warming but more often than not, I am less than charmed. Anyway, I find playthroughs very hard to get into, much less watch the whole way through but I watched every episode of this without skipping a thing. Genuinely really delightful the whole time. You really know how to edit around the fluff and slow down when it matters. I also really appreciate the authentic emotional reactions you had, took me back to when I first played. I'll be watching in the future :)
That Horseman 2 Challenge has been with us from the beginning! 🤣🤣 Just an ending tip man: You can visit the train platforms across the map to meet some old people from the game. It's a good finishing touch! Loved this series, man!!!
Yea for every playthough of mine I make sure to complete that challenge as soon as possible so that it won’t continue popping up every time I make my horse jump over something.
Jett, Ive gotta say one of my favorite things about you is that you express/say your thoughts and theories about the story. I dont know how many times Ive watched a playthrough and the creator says something along the lines of, "I think I have an idea of where the story is going, but im gonna keep quiet". I think I speak for most, if not every viewer in saying that we love to hear the creators (in this case your) thoughts on how the story might play out. Its a major reason that at least I like watching playthroughs.

@@paulpartida4797 Pretty much the only time we see that man speechless.
Dutch’s final line just being “I ain’t… got too much to say no more” is so good. Dutch, the man of big words and endless philosophies. He’s finally out of excuses, of empty promises, he’s done convincing himself and everyone else he has a plan. He’s finally doing something for once
Yeah that was a great last line. The writing is deep.
His lines in RDR1 is even better.
“When I’m gone, they’ll just find another monster. They have to because they have to justify their wages.”
Not gonna say more than that in order to avoid spoilers, but his dialogue hits home after playing the second game.
And then it's over in rdr1 he reverts back to the same person he was and making excuses

Finished this series at the right time with Red Dead 1 being remastered 🔥🔥 he ain’t ready 😭😭😭
Remastered???
@@giovannimarecoortiz1122 More like released for modern hardware slightly upscaled. It's not really a full remaster.
The irony of going after Micah for Arthur is that Arthur would tell John the same thing he told the Downes kid at the beginning of the story: Vengeance is a fools game. If anything Arthur would rather John forget Micah ever existed and just move on with his life.
Arthur told him that many times.
“When the time comes, you gotta run and don’t look back.”
“I want you to not look back.”
John then decided to look back.
Micah is a r*pist and child-k****r. He needed to go. They would have found him regardless...
John loved Arthur too much as his big brother to be able to let him go.
Kind of late since you finished, but if nobody said anything yet or you haven't continued with the story to finish some side quests and such, there's few things and people to visit:
Rains Fall is at Annesburg station, Mary Beth's at Valentine station :)

Jet, the blue bird in the house building sequence is supposed to be a node to Arthur always watching over them. That's why it's almost always there
People always say that, but like is that true bc it seems like just a theory. Like I'm not one to hate on someone else's theories about a game but people always say that one like it's a face. It's just a bird lol now if a big 12 point buck walked up and watched fine but it's just a blue bird chilling😂
@adamlauer1096 Well when you finish Arthur's story with high honor the blue jay always shows up during the house building. But if you finish with low honor it won't appear at all. So I think it's safe to assume the blue jay is Arthur 🥺 lmao

I'm usually a quiet guy, don't react much externally but I am feeling. So it's real nice to see someone react so raw to everything he playing and experiencing. Thanks my guy
Had a feeling after seeing your post. Didn't think you'd end this with a 2 hour long finale. If you want to continue this journey with John Marston, RDR1 is where its at continuing on.
Man you don't understand how unique you are, every other UA-camrs we watch we don't really care about them, YOU'RE DIFFERENT, you don't know what it's like waiting for a new video and always being ready for the next one
Since it’s re-released on PS he definitely should be able to
Genuinely haven’t been this hyped for a UA-cam video in years
I love how good your predictions have been througout this entire series
The prediction at the credits tho ☠️
Poor guy
He predicted Arthur's diagnosis on the first episode
16:00 a little late but that little bird is a blue jay, which was Arthur’s favourite bird
This man single-handedly has become one of my favorite commentators on an RDR2 play through. Bravo, sir, bravo.
Much love Jet. Thank you for an incredible series. ♥️
man this playthrough series gave me the same feeling as when i played this for the first time, it was a fun ass watch
if you ever replay the game i recommend riding a lot slower throughout the mid sections of the missions while there’s important dialogue.
you’ll be surprised how much you missed from rushing to get to destinations and what not.
4:44 Thor finna be in bro’s nightmares soon
Just an ending tip man: You can visit the train platforms across the map to meet some old people from the game. It's a good finishing touch! Loved this series, man!!!

I do not know if you noticed or not, but before Mika left that house, a rat ran in front of him, you know what he was hinting at. And so the passage is one of the best if not the best on UA-cam, it's like I went through it again myself. Thanks for everything ❤️

In retail redemption one John Marston has been forced to go after billiams and Javier squirrel in Dutch vanderland that is why you see agent Ross in the credits looking for John.
From rhetoric redemption to end to read the one reference in red dead 1 about Arthur Morgan before they had the idea John says is sometimes harder to. Run than the stay that is the reference about Arthur.
