- Day 1:
Wow.........so after having made the short trip to Hinckley to the Triumph Factory on Monday to see how this machine (and all of their others) are made, its inly fitting that I get on one of the most breathtaking machines ever made.
I rode a Rocket 3 last year, and quite simply, that 2.3 litres of power simply made me laugh like a maniac! In the Roadster, Triumph have made a bike that is less cruiser, more naked beast, and wow, it still has the ability to make the world simply disappear with a twist of the right hand.........Mommy! - Авто та транспорт
"It doesn't accelerate, it pulls the world toward you!" Classic comment and great review!
bought the rocket 3 touring since i watched this for the first time , he speaks the truth this machine brought me back into the motorcycling world . what a blast !!
That laughing like a maniac and telling that words are not enough to express the feeling you got from riding this bike - best review ever. Thank you, I'm gonna ride it before I die. There is so much passion in you I can't even believe it, amazing job.
I've never seen anyone so excited to be going to Tamworth.
[ I actually don't know anyone who says 'eh'].....Glad you are
Patriotic as well....-that will be 2 Daytonas, a T-Bird [1700]
that Black + White 900...and 'a brace' of Rocket.......we are
nostalgic about the leathers too...I Have Triumph boots already...
..tell the Factory to not worry too much, we can only run them
about 4 months\year.
thx Curtis
It was amazing mate!! Got the grand tour!! Saw them start off with all the parts, and 3 hours later a bike rolls of the production line and starts!!
Weirdest thing was seeing so many bikes staked in a warehouse....in bozes...I never knew bikes came in boxes lol!
the hinckley factory must have been a lot of fun, your very lucky
Never mind people like bncod mate, they've nothing constructive to add. Great video, good to hear someone get enthusiastic about an awesome bike
What a bike .. Better than any Harley ..
I think triumph are the best placed to do a bike in the vein of the diavel.... A power cruiser? Or whatever. Those powerful triples like the thunderbird storm in a capable chassis. Would be great. I think.
A seriously great bike. Ridiculous power, from a start or at highway speed. It's a pig but has a decent sized tank.
I bought and I think it's a great machine and good lookin bike ever
We appreciate your Triumph reviews in Canada.-when we decipher what the hell you're
saying....We grew up with Triumph, Norton, BSA here....-and Triumph has an incredible
line....can we be proud of England again?.....Please mail that Rocket 3 to my farm on the Prairies....roads are kinda 'long' out here [you could lose the UK in some pastures]
...- instead of sending them back to the Dealership...Everybody likes Canada, Right?
Thanks in Advance
awesome
I WANT THIS BIKE
I've got a standard Rocket 3 (2009), which believe it or not is my first ever bike as I have only had my licence 18 months. Would you say the roadster is worth upgrading to? Is the power increase noticable? I know some say it feels slower to accelerate and some say there is no difference. I know top speed is lower, but that isn't an issue in the real world, i just don't want it to be tamer accelerating. I like the extra info on the dials and think it will be easier for a novice to corner.
I kinda like 'em, and I'm from southern Alabama...
Well, I just bought a 2013 Roadster.....epic!
No mate! In fact before the roadster, the standard rocket has mor forward pegs! Im 6 3 bro, and was fine for me :-)
I think this bike is amazing, however I'm about 6'4''. Would moving the pegs forward drastically alter the the ability to handle it?
No....er..lifesavers....
@trqmj its 375 Kg mate - so heavy, but as soon as you get goign feels so light!
but obv the most poweful production bike in the world torque wise, so you need to be experienced to ride it buddy! Otherwise it will take you head off!
I'm an American and would probably get this over any harley or victory bike. It's got like 140 horsepower. A harley only has like 90.
@wafi0123 True!!
bosshoss has got to be more crazy though... prefer rocket anyway.
Nice review. Or you on speed?
@scholzmt DTs mate!! Nah to run the anti shake software on a hd film this long takes about a year!! Check out the new vids at bikechannel (dot) com fella to see how we do it now! Bit better!
why would he do that?
harley's horsepower is in the mid to upper 60's.
@annnnnnnnnnnnas Press bike mate, it was new!
Even easier if he's done 3 lines of happy dust?
Jeez! 'course we love Canada! same patriotism eh? great bike eh?
only boss hoss is exception
I'm not sure why I would want this bike. My 750 out accelerates any cars I encounter.
Okay, I want it.
Looks like Mr s wonder built it in a shed in 3 days UGLY
+Michael Smith It might be ugly but it will chew up and spit out any other cruiser you put in front of it.
@bnCOD Lol! Kind of the point of reviewing a bike, if you dont talk, its hard to give your impressions via telepathy and body language ;-)
my dad hase one
very cool bike just not happy with the sound of a 3 cylinder.
This is one bike that is hard to get, at least for me ? it only has a 8:7-1 CR, and it's a water cooled motor, bigger than many cars motors on the roads, and it's weight is 787 lbs wet.
No doubt, it could make much more power with a higher CR number, some air cooled bikes are a fair bit higher, like up to 10:0-1 CR, or so.
If they would do this alone it should get better mpg, and make even more TQ & HP.
When making the claim of most powerfull bike, could make more sense to me, when prefaced, when saying the most torquey bike made, yes numbers like these are big @ 221.00 Nm (22.5 kgf-m or 163.0 ft.lbs) @ 2750 RPM, but normal for a car sized motor.
Would like to, or maybe I need to ride the bike, so better to understand it's merritts ?
Indeed - having passion and the ability to form articulate words at speed is a terrible thing.
Luke talks much too quickly...
..Are you sure you are not Welsh?...I said:
- please mail your big, fast, Triumphs to the Canadian Prairie.
- A new Norton would be politically correct on our West Coast.
....Go through your House of Lords, and make it so......thx
