The gun in roses box was a nice homage to Guns ‘N’ Roses, who wrote and performed the song You Could Be Mine for their Use Your Illusion II album. Arnie invited the band over to his home for dinner to negotiate a deal with them to use the song for this film due to the songs’ theme of danger and survival which was perfect for the apocalyptic theme of this film
