    This happened to me. I had to cut off 6 inches of hair because of iron and vitamin D deficiency. It has stopped shedding finally after 8 months. So i did a really good cut and just decided that healthy hair is better than long unhealthy hair. My hair looks and feels better. Thanks for the video.

    • @kymmistry
      @kymmistry 2 роки тому +9

      @@annabla1732 The first time I left the braids in for 6 weeks. When I took them out my hair was thin and broken off in spots. My stylist said the synthetic hair rubbing my natural hair caused the damage. So the second time I used better hair and smaller braids. When I took it down I had bald spots and thinning around my edges. Braids work for some people, just not for me.

    #2: Ashwagandha
    #3: 7-10 cups of greens and micro-greens (sunflower, broccoli, etc) at dinner at least six nights weekly, and green juice supplement are supporting my health goals(Alaya Naturals: Organic green superblend). Also, water intake according to my body weight. I follow intermittent fasting, so this is not hard. The thirst is real!

      Ive had this issue and i wasnt sure what was causing the breakage until i cut my ends and starting wearing buns only to see after 5 days my nicely cut ends were looking raggedy. However my mom doesnt like me to wear my ends out so i had to do buns that still allowed me to leave my ends exposed lol

    • @LM-ur3lc
      @LM-ur3lc 2 роки тому

      This is so weird because high buns caused my breakage by my temples! I guessed from the buns being too tight. Why do you think buns gave you thin ends? Curious because I was going to start doing low loose buns to help the broken hair on my hairline..

    • @Storm411z
      @Storm411z 2 роки тому

      Low loose buns have been fine for my hair- it’s the high buns that did me dirty! Now I wear my hair in twists and tuck it into a loose low bun.

    Great video! I’m glad to see you are back with more gems for us. Just wanted to add a couple things that I’ve noticed because I am on the same journey as you right now. About a year and a half ago I cut several inches off of my hair which was old heat damage from when I first started my natural hair journey. So I had a full head of healthy bra strap length hair after that. From then until now my ends have gotten pretty damaged and I didn’t really know how because I thought I was taking good care of my hair ...although like you said I did neglect my regimen sometimes. I recently cut several inches off of my hair but I did it in about three installments of wash days over the course of I guess three months. My hair is feeling healthier and looking healthier and fuller. Some things that I noticed that led me to cut my hair before I started to see too much breakage in the back and center: out of convenience to our arms, and wrong instruction from our UA-cam gurus, most of us are splitting our hair down the middle and styling, detangling, applying products, etc. on each half of our head. What I learned about three years ago when I first was able to start getting my curls to pop was that each section of my hairs curls want to coil in a particular direction. I learned this by detangling my hair with my tangle teaser brush as well as trying to get my wash and go to pop or finger coiling my hair when I had conditioner or gel in it. I learned that if I’m trying to style my hair while it’s split down the middle like doing two braid as a protective style or brushing my hair to each side while I’m detangling to make it easier on my arms I am making my curls in the center of my head go in directions that they are not comfortable with. That causes them to react and flare up which makes the ends frizzy and frayed and try to Tangle up with other curls that are going in other directions. Like you said creating a center section in addition to each side section while I detangle has not only improve the health of my hair it has also improved my curl pattern because I’m allowing my curls to clump the way that they want to. Doing my hair this way has also helped me to find where I have more breakage or single strand knots because since the curls are laying better in the pattern that they want to lay I’m am able to feel my ends and see where they start to get thin or rough or I feel single strand knots within the section. Now that I feel I have cut off the majority of damage, I might do one more cut my next wash day. But most likely I am now on a mission to “search and destroy” until my next scheduled trim which would be in about 3 to 4 months. I observed the exact same breakage pattern and tangleing issues in my mother-in-law‘s hair as she was growing out an old texturizer to go natural. She used two braids as her go to protective style for several years and she suffered a lot of breakage in the same areas we have been discussing. She ended up having to big chop Way more than necessary because of a dreadful tangled wash day. I hope this helps because this was definitely a big game changer for me in terms of recognizing how and why my breakage is happening.

    Hi, you look as beautiful as evere
    You are a reason I went natural
    My hair after a big chop since 2 years was flourishing and healthy , now with the same product I don't get the same result
    I always have split ends and single strand knot and midshaft split
    I don't know what to do ??frustrating
    Every time my hair at shoulder length it get damaged end and then I end up cutting it and I want to grow my hair past this length
    Also I live in a country where we don't have protein treatment at stores (whhhy??)
    Anyhow what can I do to have protein treatment ?
    Is gelatin is protein?
    Is hair mayonnaise is protein ??
    Cause my hair is breaking with finger detangling UGH

      It’s because it’s running up against your clothes and things. I recommend using protective styles until it’s past shoulder length

    Hahaha, I love how these influences like to say....if you are still seeing a problem, go to your doctor. In other words I don't known what to tell you, go to the doctor. Also I never cut my hair or trim and I did not have split ends, so no, I don't think so.

    Since I was younger in my teens my hair has always grown longer on the side and short in the middle in the back, don’t know why, it literally stills grows like this and I’ll get it cut evenly and it’ll still grow that way 😩

      That happens to me as well. My sides grow so strong and long with minimal effort but my crown and nape need to be watched like a hawk 👁 lol You may need to be extra gentle in the areas that grow a little slower and are most likely more fragile than the rest of your hair. Also, I have just come to accept that my crown is usually shorter than the rest of my hair and that has helped with my anxiety about my hair growth a lot.

    3 major reasons to cause breakage: 1)stretching trimming schedule 2) stress 3)low nutrient levels

      Oil is NOT moisture Sis. It seals in moisture! U have to use a liquid or creme, then seal with oil or grease. Oil on dry hair wont do a thing!!

    You're so pretty and your hair is healthy. How can I moisturize my hair in protective styles like knotless braids or box braids

    • @audreys7497
      @audreys7497 3 роки тому

      When I have braids in I’ll mix water and conditioner in a spray bottle and spray really generously till my hair is fully saturated. The I rub some leave in conditioner over the braids. Then I seal with oil. Keeps my hair pretty moisturized!
