MST3K - Favorite Moments - Mitchell

- This episode features Joe Don Baker as the amazingly unappealing cop - Mitchell - probably one of the most unlikeable characters ever. Making the audience feel good when the hero is beaten up is not excatly a positive selling point for any movie. Anyway, this episode features Linda Evans, Martin Balsam (what happend?), and John Saxon as the movies absurdly uninteresting sub-plot. The sub-plot is apparently of so little interest that the movie itself forgets about it.
This is also the last MST show with Joel Hodgson. - Комедії
The six dislikes came from six different You Tube accounts created by Joe Don Baker.
ahoneanatwo I'd believe it.
I think he made 2 more accounts its up to 8 now
its up to 10 now
Accounts names are: Joe Don Baker, Don Joe Baker, Boe Jon Daker, Doe Bon Jaker, SteakFan, and MitchellLover7.
The huge WHAATT! when Mitchell's gun slides down his leg always gets me!
Me too!

Mitchell!
heart's pounding
Mitchell!

Mitchell!

"HEY! WHAT? (BANG) OH!" I laugh hysterically every time! Thank you, Joel!!
I think that may be my favorite part of the episode.

The way Crow says "I'd knock but I know I'm not home" 😂😂😂
This is the only movie I've seen where the exciting chase scene has both drivers using their turn signals.
my heart, was in my throat
Driving miss daisy looked like bullitt
HOT MERGING ACTION
Why’s he downshifting with an automatic ?
"He's landed just short of the green" - LMAO
“Liquid metal”
“The declining years of Lee Majors”
Almost every line is soo quotable. Sometimes my best friend and myself communicate entirely through Mitchell quotes. And everything's always completely crystal clear. If only regular communication was so accurate..
I remember watching this when it was originally on the air on Comedy Central. Hysterical, yet misunderstood by many. The good old days
Oh my god, I absolutely lost it at Tom's shriek during the horrendous exchange between Mitchell and the kid. God, so funny.
Golden Globe material, folks. 😆
Its exactly how I was feeling, and he just captured it perfectly.
Two of my all time favorite MST3K riffs:
"Mitchell. Even his name says, "is that a beer?"
"Hot merging action!"
"Mitchell! Heart's Pounding! Mitchell! Veins Clogging! Mitchell!"
"HOT MERGING ACTION!"
"Our hero, ladies and gentlemen!"
"Mitchell: Licensed to Slouch!"
"I WANNA EAT!"
'BUT EATING!!!'
The genius of this episode is that the movie relies completely on Joe Don Baker's character being a total badass. Joel and the crew spend the entire thing just ripping him apart and turning him into a laughing stock.
Sorry, I'm really unappealing.
"The genius of this episode is that the movie relies completely on Joe Don Baker's character being a total badass."
Off by three letters.
Mitchell: "Never found out who he was."
Chief: "Well, ask him, don't shoot him! Who was he?"
Tom: "I didn't ask him. I shot him."
Epic.
"Speaking of logging it, I'd better find a bush around here."
Oh, Dear God...🤮
"Hey!" "What?" BANG Always cracks me up.
I specifically remember watching that on TV and just losing it there.
"OH"
That's my favorite part
"I don't pay for your hookers, Mitchell."
"Could you?"
Dammit now I've got to clean coffee off my screen.
4:40 "The new Chrysler Fury: the car that thinks it's a house."
stealthnegro001
He missed one of the funniest lines in the show. When Mitchell breaks the tin foil to get into the house (3:07). One of the guys say "Reynolds wrap, keeps freshness in, can't keep Mitchell out".
Its one of my favorite lines.
I pee myself when Servo sings Johnny Mathis.
dnardone hilarious every time
That was Crow saying that.
Its not for me To SAAAAYYYY
the city needs more firemen.
Brilliant. The only bit I missed was the "Pass the peas... potatoes... turkey... ham... (etc)" from the dinner scene with Balsam. So good.
"Beer? Beer. You like em half empty. Some of em have a cigarette in them." Thank you for that LOL, Crow!!!
"Was that a gun in your pocket, or you're just...never mind." 😞
"Johnny Mathis! All right, get my gun." LOL!
Al Nolga!
Santa?!
@@christieperry4361 No still Johnny Mathis. :P
There's a police investigation going on here. Oh there is? I thought there was just a big slob walking around my house. OMG, I damn near peed my pants laughing at this! :D
That farting bit always gets to me.
I laugh out loud every time! 😂😂😂
"I'd knock, but I know I'm not home"
That should be on a t shirt
Other good scenes:
At the police station: "You really slept with that?" Crow: "First things first!"
"Why does he keep downshifting an automatic!?" during the chase scene
I named my dog "Mitchell" after this MST3K episode. He was a pug and I'd often say to him "OOoooohhh, *I wanna eat*!"
But eating!
Hey is that a beer?
Pugs are great dogs.
This and 'Final Justice'. also with Joe Don Baker is absolutely hilarious!!! The best!!
From IMDB: Joe Don Baker was purportedly furious about MST3K's treatment of his film in this episode, and even said in an interview that he would "kick [the writers'] asses" if he ever met them. As a result, the MST3K writers would later mock another Baker film called Final Justice, in which they were deliberately cruel and relentless in making fun of Baker and his performance.
No way Baker could lift that ham hock he calls a leg high enough to kick an ass.
I read somewhere he didn't mind in the beginning, but later after everybody mentioned this episode costantly and it started affecting his career (allegedly) he got angry. I mean, the guy is easy to mock, but he is a rather good character actor. We've seen worse performances in other MST3k movies. This episode is nonetheless one of my favourites, there's something for everybody ,from fart jokes to satire
@@Eisenwulf666 I I have a friend whose last name is Mitchell.
Easily my all time favorite MST3K episode. I even bought it on DVD. My friend and I exchange random quotes from it, to this day. It's hysterical, beginning to end.
"So long, CHUM!" Where else do you get dialog (quotes) like that..
@@Eisenwulf666 Supposedly some MST3K personnel once were at a hotel where Joe DB also was staying. They avoided him since evidently the MST3K crew have heard credible reports that JDB truly hates the show and thought that they really did a number on him.
I don't know why, but "Johnny Mathis? Alright! Get my gun!" is one of my fav' lines ever.
“Mitchell. Hearts pounding. Mitchell. Veins clogging. Mitchell!”
"JOE DON BAKER *IS* MITTENS! HES A COP!" XDDDD
HOT MERGING ACTION
Oh goodness the merged sucessfully, my heart was in my throat
The best scene was him strolling out of bed, hungover and farting ! The kid scene with Joe Don Baker repeating the lines and the robot goes Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ,lol !
"big buttery moon up there..the sidewalk looks like ice cream if you squint hard"
Should've included Mike's first great line on the show: "You guys watch Joe Don Baker movies?" ..just for good measure.
Joe Don Baker is "Mittens" he's a cop!
God that cracks me up every time xD
the meatloaf and Spock was brilliant.
you left out one of my favorite parts!
"What DO you know mitchell?"
"Ummm i don't know..."
I remember many saturday afternoons back in the nineties watching this show. High. Great times! Thanks for the vids, auritone
"Big buttery moon up there" lmao
"Any movie with wacka-chicka-wacka in it is fine by me!"
Mitchell’s legions of fans show up at any time of the day or night.
Great Stuff. I still always love to go back to my favorite: "I Accuse My Parents." Anyone else??
Thank you! Now I can watch "Mitchell" without actually having to watch "Mitchell"!
5:44 "My, my, my God, no!" (weeping)
- Take Care, Beannacht De Duit
Love Servo's "ppffffffffttttttt" noise when Joe Don is getting out of bed with all the beer cans on his nightable. Gets me every time!
Booze and I are buying a house together,Great line, Joel! This is one of my favorite MST3Ks.
lmao, all the Johnny Mathis parts are making me sing "chances aaarrree that I'll kick your scraaaawney ass." from Horror at Party Beach. lol
"That empty plate breaks my heart..."
"There's a police investigation going on here....Oh there is? I thought there was just a big slob walking around my house."
beer and me are going to buy a house.
"I'm doing it on spec!"
I finally get that joke.
Meatballs fried in lard!!! Oh wait that's final justice !!! Please bring back MST3K we need them!
Well, your rich and white I don't see a problem with it.
best part... "my my my MY GODDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!""
Mitchell, even his name says "Is that a beer?"
"Mobsters laughing, really smiling, a man selling heroin..."
*perfect golf voice* "He's landed just short of the green."
My late friend introduced me to MST3K back in college. RIP Andrew, may you keep your eye on the sandwich in the Great Beyond.
6:32 I love it how Tom flips out.
Love Joel's Pink Floyd referance
"Why would anyone want to do this with Mitchell, Joel?"
Linda Evans in her "anything for a paycheck" phase. 🏧
"Well you're rich and white, I don't see any problem with it."
XD That Kieth Herring reference was *pure joy!*
i *still* can't believe that parroting back what the kid says scene was ever included in a movie. Not even Jack Black doing mama jokes with Jim Carrey would ever stoop that low, undignified and shameless.
Although it was like watching Buonaroti sculpt David compared to that ...... bedroom scene. z:
That's Keith Haring. And that scene with Mitchell having a chinwag with that kid was the high point of that flick.
Man, I'm constantly confused!
LOL - that line gets me every time. :)
6:32 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! I love Tom Servo so much
"No, I don't pay for your hookers, Mitchell..."
"Well, could ya?"
Hands down my favorite Joel episode.

Oh, also......to all fans of the show - the Pluto TV app has 24/7 channels of both MST3K and Rifftrax. It's free and great for getting your daily riff fix. ;)
Ooo right in the tenderloin steak region!
Liquid metal!
Joe Don Baker, when you can't afford to cast Burt Reynolds.
"But I wanna eat!"
I dont know why but the Johnny Mathis bit had me howling lol
I'm the chubby blue line!
I was singing Mitchell today.
I admire your bravery. 😅
"So long, CHUM!" gets me EVERY TIME!
Agh - left out the best line! "Cedar lattice! Works every time!"
I am the chubby blue line.
Thanks. My favorite MST3K. It still makes me laugh.
I love Servo's giggle when Joel is singing that Pink Floyd song.
Man they really laid into this one. Fully understand why, though :).
My favorite episode all time
The stinger for this one still makes me laugh every goddamn time.
“Johnny Mathis! Alright, get my gun!”
Mitchell: There's a police investigation goin' on here.
Joel: Oh, there is? I thought there was a big slob walking around my house!

“You guys watch Joe Don Baker movies?”
It’s been said that Joe Don Baker was so upset over the jokes that he threatened to beat the guys up if he ever met them in person!
When Joe Don Baker FARTS, everyone better Damn listen ! MITTENS, I mean uh, MITCHELL,LOL !
3:41 I actually can't stop laughing.
Still the biggest laugh for me. XD
You're rich and white. I see no problem with this.
THAT's THE LINE I LOVED!!! HA HA HA HA!!!!!!
@@banff9858 me to!!
The problem being that the boat is so small there's absolutely no possible doubt as to where Mitchell is hiding.
I wish it included my favorite line when Mitchell was being beat up, " Sorry Mitchell, we thought you were Rockford."
Whenever I see this movie my brain just subconsciously replaces the dude playing Mitchell with Chris Farley.
my my my MY GOD! NOOOOOOO!
“Hey, what? Ohh!!”
"Who's the puffy guy who's a big blurry sex machine? *Mitchell!* "
What about when he picks up the six pack of beer with his foot? Joel - 'I learned that in College.' Servo - 'That's class.'
My, my, my god!
"I'd knock.. but I know I'm not home"
I can't help but share Tom's reaction to the Mitchell Vs. Kid scene:
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Best. Scene. Ever. 👏
Best line is when they show the weird lookin mobster and crow says "He was hastily put together." It's funny cause it's true. I say it all the time when I see someone like that.............it's a great line.
I use that line all the time. To the point where people think I made it up. Even people who have known me forever and I have told I got this from MST3K
"Damn, I'm still in this Mitchell movie!"
